The Dark Knight Rises (Batman 3) - No Riddler

I don't think that's necessarily true, there's a lot more Bruce Wayne centred scenes in BB. There is a lot more focus on Bruce as a character in BB too. You don't even get to see Batman until about halfway through the movie.

But Bruce is Batman, wearing a costume or not. In TDK they showed a lot less of him as both in order to introduce Harvey and give Joker his scenes, hell when TDK came out some people complained about how there wasn't enough of Bruce/Bats.

So yeah there's definitely going to be more of him in this movie seeing as it is the end of Nolan's Batman. There still needs to be a bit more scenes as Batman the way I see it.

But hey in Nolan we trust and all, can't wait.

So what's next in this thread?

Is somone going to claim the camera flipped upside down when filming the jokers finsl scene and Nolan kept it in for shits and giggles?

I saw the prologue last night before Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol.

So excited, so much.

There is a likely chance of understanding 50% of the words coming out of Bane's mouth.

Been playing Skyward Sword lately.....

The only problems I have is Bane's coat still looks out of place, the hovering/flying tumbler moves extremely unnatural, the football scene looks a bit cheesy, and I can't hear shit coming out of Bane's mouth. I also still have doubts about Bane in general, and I don't see how Catwoman fits into this or if her character will be given the proper justice.

I just hope they get back to what worked so well with Batman Begins and focus on BATMAN. I'm not saying The Dark Knight wasn't a great movie, but I don't think this movie can uphold itself by focusing on the development of Catwoman/Bane like TDK did with Joker/Two-Face.

Bane's coat looks awesome.

and I don't get how suddenly BB is superior to TDK. To me BB feels like a comic book movie, whereas TDK feels like a crime film. Only the part with the sonar kind of gives away that yeah "you are watching a comic book movie"

Watched both not long ago, and while I enjoy BB I just like TDK more. Better villains, better setpieces, better plot IMO, better almost everything.

Can someone give me a transcript of what Bane said in the prologue? I didn't catch a single thing he said.

So I had seen the trailer online and thought it was neat, the football stadium scene looked cheesy... and then I saw it in theaters in IMAX. And WOAH... the sound was incredible and so chilling and epic. And the football stadium scene in IMAX just had that feel of "holy shit, that just happened". Really cool trailer, definitely hyped for this movie now.

No prologue in front of the MI showing I went to, so I've only seen it online and it was pretty hard to understand what people were saying.

Saw the prologue in IMAX last night. Sound mix was fine, understood everything Bane said. I think there's a bit of an overreaction going on. Hardy's amazing so far. Still, I think they'll fuck with the channels before release to clear it up a bit regardless.

As for the footage? Loved it. Everyone in the theater was deadly silent afterwards. As soon as MI4 ended, as good as it was, all the discussion from people leaving the theater was about the prologue.

Its got this intensity to it that's unmatched.

I don't think anyone is complaining about Hardy or Bane Character

lol, the most obvious scene in the world and people are debating over it.

Really! Joker even comments earlier that "I noticed the way you rushed to save that woman. For a second there I thought you were actually Dent..." He KNEW Batman had a thing for Rachel that's why he tricked him

People are right, they should edit out the entire batwing in post. I'm kinda iffy on Cotillard's character too based off the half second she's in the trailer, Nolan cut her too. Actually, just cut it all. Just cut stuff!!!!

Bane was pretty tough to understand, but I'm hoping it's largely a consequence of sub-optimal recording conditions.

Otherwise, the prologue was pretty amazing. One of its key strengths is that it didn't contain Hines Ward.

I know you're joking, but now that you mention it, I wonder if this is what happened. It would make more sense, from a filmmaker's point of view, to show both the Joker and Batman from the same angle. It would make just as much sense or more for Batman to grapple onto Joker's shoulder instead of his foot, yet they didn't do that. I'm now positive that the camera flipped over and they were too rushed to reshoot it. It's really the only explanation.
