Don't mean to come off as a dick, but if you want higher quality then just buy the volumes. :/
It comes off as a little rude but yeah just be grateful there are even scans to begin with. You shouldn't be surprised when you can't find fabulous, perfect scans of something (you should be surprised when you can). Not to mention the entirety of FMA's scanlations are very good quality.
Also, to be clear, I wasn't asking the scans for myself. I already read the series and am happy watching the anime if I want to see parts again. But I'm in america and my friend lives in england, and I've been nagging him for months to get into the series. I was looking for the better scans on his behalf more than mine because he is petty and very well could stop reading the series over something as small as bad scans. I didn't mean to sound ungrateful about it or anything. I'm suprised that quality scans are something so rare though. What comes out weekly now is in great quality, and so are the scans of FMA from chapters 1-35 or so. After that, they get rougher. It seems strange to me that people who did such a great job cleaning up the scans just stopped about a third into the series and no one stepped up to do the same with the second third.
Tell that friend that FMA volumes are readily available at his local bookshop.

as for the topic: if you can buy it get those, if not roll with the scans and be grateful (and to be fair the scans nowadays tend to be of good quality) imo.

I don´t think there is any SJ manga coming next week. It´s holiday. The week after that there is, and 2 weeks from the holiday there is no SJ manga.

Nope, it´s one week off, one on, and then on off again, unless we get the chapters early. Than it´s 2 weeks straight off.
Of course this depends on what weekly series you're reading. One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach will probably follow the "unless we get the chapters early" schedule. Since the first manga thread One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach have always leaked during the holiday. Sometimes before or during (hopefully this year it's "during"), but they've always leaked. I remember a few cases where we've gotten spoilers during the break week and then a few days later we get the chapters, which is usually the "best" case scenario.
It's the other weekly series that are iffy this time of year. I could see Fairy Tail and TWGOK leaking early. Maybe (the hiatus announcement?) Hunter X Hunter.
AKA this thread won't move a page for two weeks.

I've just started this one, and am only a few chapters in. He really piled on the characterization with Medaka, didn't he? Jesus, I should have figured that Nisio has no faith in the common man's ability to infer. Anyway, other than that, this manga isn't bad. The premise has been piled on, and things are starting to roll, albeit slowly.

Do people really still give a shit about how he looks without the mask?
Since someone was mentioning Shaman King, I went back to read the entire Chinese-translated volumes... and I'd just like to say that the pinnacle of the series has to be the Yoh-Anna love story. That entire arc is fantastic - just the right balance of characterizations, fights, editorial rhythm, melancholy atmosphere. It's a shame that the latter volumes lost some of this balance and got too zen.
Fuiture past Sasuke from a different timeline?
Yeah, I read a bit of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. It's ... hm. It annoys me, I suppose? There's a lot of
relationship status flip flopping. Like, a fucking lot. By the end of Volume 3 there's been like five confessions and somehow still no dating nor any realization that either party likes the other. It's awkward
Maybe there's a payoff down the road for that kind of setup, since I do like the female lead a bit, but it didn't really "wow" me. I mean, I'll go and read it through eventually so I'm not really saying it's terrible or anything like that.
@Itokoi Chidori - Yeah, I'm not exactly sure how it can claim "not porn" with anything remotely close to a straight face.

That includes all SJ magazines. Fairy tail is on break this week, it will be back next week. But almost all major manga that i read go on vacation these upcoming weeks. I am thinking about picking up Sun Ken Rock to fill the void.
MS says the magazine is on a break so I guess no.
