Alright, saw a Hardcover copy on Amazon if I'm not mistaken. I will try to pick it up if they still got any copies.
This might sound like a minor heresy, but I flicked through a paperback of this in the shop the other day, seemed like it would be a better way to read this run. JH Williams uses a lot of 2 page spreads which I personally find annoying in hardbacks with their tighter binding. Anyway, YMMV.
In other news, I've been reading a load of great comics this week. Read the first volume of Locke and Key the other day and it's fantastic. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so dark, so it was a pleasant surprise. Gripping and creepy, I could barely put it down. Also started reading American Vampire 2, that seems great so far too.
Started reading Dark Knight Returns (now on sale at Comixology for 4 bucks total) for the first time in nearly 15 years. Reads waaaay better as a grownup that has an extensive Batman knowledge. I must say, great as it it, I never understand why this is always suggested for new readers. It's so dense and unfriendly. I read it as a kid and hated it, much more impressed now.
Also been devouring this weeks' new releases. What an amazing week! Leviathan Strikes was insane and needs another read of the whole series very soon. Batman 4 was great, if a step down from last month's tour de force. Catwoman was very good as usual, and I think the art is even better than ever, the colourist especially has stepped it up a notch. USM finally seemed to kick into gear and I'm coming to understand Miles as a character more now too, he's very shy which is an interesting direction for Bendis to go. Wolverine and the X Men was brilliant fun, Bachalo just killed it on art this month, everything was so dynamic and cool looking, and that double page spread with the X Men was badass. Love Bachalo's Iceman too.
Still got so much more on the digital stack too. Amazing week.
