What I meant to say, is I wanna see any PSP game plays on a Vita, thanks for replying.

The Japanese language has a lot of words which have been imported from English. When importing a word from English, each sound has to be transliterated into Japanese characters, and they are transliterated into whatever is the closest fit for that sound. The sounds "L" and "R" are both transliterated into the same characters (ラ, リ, ル, レ, ロ - ra, ri, ru, re, ro), because these Japanese characters are the closest fit for both of these English letters.Sorry for the Off-topic, but even though I'm aware this is the main reason for the typical mistyping of the "r" and the "l" in Japanese - Chinese - Korean language speakers I've always thought it's BS. When you learn a word, you should learn its written form exactly as it is. So when there is an "l", type an "l" and not an "r" even though you can't tell the difference by sound. I feel something is not going well in the way most Asian people learn foreign languages, because this kind of (otherwise simple) errors are commonplace.
I swear I'll never understand this problem.
Sony is surely going to put out a new firmware before western release. There are a few nagging things I have currently.
- The browser is currently very limited because there is not a lot of support for even the basic stuff. Even videos posted on sony blogs don't work so not going to read those from Vita. Update clearly needed.
- There are some random, but luckily rare glitches when booting a software. Sometimes Vita says "the file is corrupted" and doesn't start e.g. Minna to isshoni, or twitter app. Booting the device removed that problem. Only has appeared twice during the week of testing.
- There are no controls for video sizes, so my mis-rendered, 4:3 or other videos cannot be blown to fullscreen size. No creation of movie frame for the video, if it doesnt have one. No looping of a single video, only play everything once.
- Live spaces show progress in game, but it doesn't show all of them, just recent ones, so you can't backtrack on everything you did.
- When downloading stuff from PSN store, and you don't have enough space on the memory card, Vita shows a random error screen instead of telling "not enough space".
- The wifi power saving makes it confusing to know when you are online and when not.
- You can accidentally put the usb cable upside down on the Vita.
- Vita takes over the PS3 totally when connected via USB so no using the PS3 which is not convenient. I would like to transfer stuff, and do something else on the ps3 during that time.
Not all very important but needs to be cleared. I still love the device a lot and I can see this being a hit in the west easily, but these small things need to be fixed.
Do we think we'll need to redownload psp games after Feb 22nd to tranfer them
Got my Vita import yesterday. I'm pretty happy with it, but there is something wrong with
some of the pixels when the screen is totally black (and I have to sit in a pitch black room to notice it). Some of the pixels appear more black than others like they are switched off or something. Anyone else had this problem?

Are you guys talking about the black blotches someone posted a few pages ago? how common is that thing. It looks pretty scary.I have this as well, it's not a dealbreaker for me as I don't play in pitch black though.

It's actually a post from the "issues" thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=33647663&postcount=111Link to post?

Are you experiencing the same issue?
Yes definitely, the exact same thing. Luckily my black blotches are to the side of the screen and not in the center... Does indeed seem to be an issue with OLED screens. While it's a bummer, its really not noticeable unless you are sitting in a pitch black room and quite a large portion of the screen goes all black for a little while (so your eyes can adapt to the darkness)
It's kinda annoying to know it's there though, so I hope it's not a very widespread issue...

Should not be as using an external HDD is easier than this. Like the simplicity of it, that you only plug in and you handle everything else from the Vita by just tapping the screen, but there are these limitations. Why can't I access the PS3 straight using wifi?
What you guys are seeing are probably just manufacturing effects of the OLED screen.
It shouldn't be too much of an issue since it's not a dead pixel that is black throughout color
I imagine we will see alot of this to be honest, iirc people get a glimpse of this on normal LED TV's also, its just not as noticeable.
My Zune HD's OLED screen is pitch black even in complete darkness, so maybe it's a defect on some of them.
Nailed it.JEDAAAAAAAAAAH
It's a combination of Monster Hunter and Phantasy Star Online. No online multiplayer, but you have bots to help you.^
Looks gorgeous, is an offline MMO!? It reminded me of FFXII.
I hope it gets an NA release.

22, did you use the ones you hired for something else than world conquest? Just curious. You can for the ones you "hire", you can't for the story ones.
But basically, yes, you can.

Also, I've been wondering about making a LoA thread, so that people playing (I guess there's at least 3 of us) can exchange opinions, tactics and stuff. Well, to be honest, not one thing in the game really gave me any problems, but anyway...
Another shot from LoA. The boss design in this game is great:

Why doesn't it work on Vita! ><I need to buy PSP2 off PSN
Why doesn't it work on Vita! ><
I haven't yet, no! Flipped through some story NPCs to see who I like but honestly it hasn't made a huge difference thus far.
I'm still only in Chapter 5, though. Definitely working my way through it. After work tomorrow, I'll have about 9 days off -- will probably clear a lot of games!
From what I read just now, they wanted to put it in the Vita store, but there were some problems and it's unknown if they release the PSPs for Vita (1, 2 or 2 Infinity).it doesn't? I shouldn't buy it?!! I have the original on UMD but I don't have a PSP anymore so I need to know.
If they implement the PS3 Vita connectivity like a background download thread, then perhaps the PS3 can multitask while Vita is connected.
But if they implement the Vita connectivity as a full app/process, then the entire PS3 will be tied up.
When you're transferring media with an external, you're still stuck on a transfer screen with the PS3.

Btw 22, any way you can record a 10min gameplay of LOA?

Yup. Yup. PS4 background copying imminent. Well, I did send my found bugs/annoyances to Sony just for fun. and tweeted to Yoshida.

Has anyone posted Army Corps impressions?
If I understand this right, if something isn't in the PSVita store in the PSP section, you can't play it on Vita. Will probably just give corrupt file or something.I thinkinfinityis on the US Store, couldn't I buy it and store it on my PS3 and just transfer it over to the Vita? That, technically, should work ,right?
Yeah, they're a few pages back, quite long. Don't remember whose though.Has anyone posted Army Corps impressions?

Fuck, That doesn't sound good. I bought a lot of games on there and they have taken PSP2 off the store.
I think DCharlie talked about it briefly, seemed to like it too( I'll see if I can find the post).

You can only play PSP games that are sold on the JP Vita store. You'll have to wait for the US Vita store to go live before you can play any of your games. The only US games that work at the moment are those that are compatible with remote play, such as PSone games.so from what I've read it is possible to play my PSP games off US PSN since my PS3 is at 4.0, I'll just have to redownload them to have the install bubble instead of them being installed on my PS3 right?

Alright thanks. Looks like I'll be importing more Vita games.
I read that it was possible in another forum. Here are the steps he gave:
FYI, you can transfer us psp games over to the vita
Log on to your account
Activate it with account management
Connect vita to ps3 and activate usb connection
Download psp game to ps3 with firmware 4.0
Click on bubble and select copy
Vita will start the transfer
Install and play!
Whats even better, if you have 2 cards, you can play us/jpn content while logged into jpn/us psn account with a small trick
Yep.so this post was wrong then?
Yep.
I was listening to this on 8-4 podcast, they said it was possible but you definitely get some resistance, which usually means don't put that in there lol.
