Yeah, that was pretty damn good. I like the idea of having a dark version of the master sword - completing the arsenal of weapons for each of the three wielders of the Triforce. Master Sword for the chosen hero/Link, Sacred Bow for the Goddess/Princess and this dark master sword for Demise/Ganon. Too bad that's never expanded upon in any of the other games.Girahim's transformation into a sort of Dark Fi (same metallic body, crystal, and hair style) was really cool and shocking even if I sort of expected that, and the part when Demise pulls the sword out of Girahim's chest (and Girahim is laughing with joy) was crazy.
Ha! Zodd is honestly the first character I thought of as well, but they're both obviously inspired from general Japanese demons/devils.I don't really see too much similarities between Demise and Ganondorf to be honest outside of being a Demon King. Their facial features are completely different for example:

Demise looks more like Zodd from Berserk:

holy shit he fucks him up good終焉の者 (Shūen no Mono)
Would the scar on Demise's forehead explain why all Gerudos have a jewel on theirs?
I know Demise's scar comes from the seal thingy, but I wonder if there's a connection.
Was there an explanation why Fi had such a robotic and computer-like manner of speech, always going on about statistical probabilities and such? I was totally expecting some sort of hi-tech reveal on that until halfway through the game, like her being a computer chip in the sword or somesuch.
I thought it was pretty out of place myself...
Is it just me or Zelda suddenly become colder after she remembered she was goddess? yeah romance dried out. disappointed me.Couldn't they at least have showed us Zelda and Link kissing? Why do they always do this?
Same thoughts here. There were no witty lines...After all of the mystery and mystique from speculation regarding SS, Fi turned out to be a disappointment. You can be robotic all you want but show some kind of personality or humor. She really just was kinda "they just said that, doh" and uninteresting....

God, I need some late game help and I can't find the SS OT. I just got the stone thing from the 'last' spirit walk I have to do and now have to find it's twin to lead to the triforce. Where do I go from here?
An old man is standing by it near the beginning of the game and mentions something about the eye. I kept trying to figure out what to do with this statue for the whole game so as soon as that popped up I was like AHA.It's a statue on Skyloft you're looking for. You've passed by it before.
if only ghirahim turned into a trident...
he would be even more of a counterpart to fi as the trident is ganon's recurring weapon like link's master sword. instead we get this "scary" master sword. reminds me of how every superhero has a lame villain that is exactly the same as them but a different color.

You didn't like the imprisoned? Did you fight him the right way? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nlPdw5H-Q0
I don't know what you're talking about.
If you're fast enough you don't even have to wait for the Imprisoned to climb and get Groose to shoot.
Really my only gripe with The Imprisoned is the fact that you can't "glide" when you jump of the ledges here. It's just tedious to jump all the way down if you miss the landing.
Also, I don't know why we didn't mention it but: The bug catching net is from ALTTP.
Also, Hornets.
So you kill Demise in the past...shouldn't that erase all of SS from happening? If he's dead back then, then there's nothing to be sealed away and break out in the present, right?
head hurts

Whoever wrote the game just stopped giving a shit about the ramifications of defeating Demise and sealing the rest of him in the Master Sword before the entire adventure happened, and forgot the Master Sword was never there whenever we visited the Sealed Temple until the ending. It doesn't make a lick of sense, which is just disappointing since the game was consistent with its time travel mechanics up till this point. They really wanted that scene with Impa fading away and the Master Sword on the pedestal of the Sealed Temple to evoke ALTTP, and there was no way to give it as much impact without showing it a thousand years later with where it is in the present. So you kill Demise in the past...shouldn't that erase all of SS from happening? Demise wouldn't be dead in the present by Link wishing on the Triforce if he existed outside of time. Fi specifically says that he's been eradicated, Ghirahim specifically says that he has perished. Ghirahim wouldn't need to go back to the past if Demise existed outside of time.He exists outside time, apparently.
Thanks guys, now I know who Pipit (Cuco) is as well haha
He's like the frozen donkey wheel in Lost that is always in the present even if the rest of the island is at least hundreds of years in the past.He exists outside time, apparently.

Even good boss fights get boring by the third time. And the Imprisoned boss fight isn't particularly great in the first place. You didn't like the imprisoned? Did you fight him the right way? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nlPdw5H-Q0

Now I can't unsee it.
I was thinking that when Ganon's Castle appears in OoT, the void underneath it is the hole that was filled to seal The Imprisoned in SS, meaning the castle of Hyrule was built where the statue of the Goddess stood. My absolutely silly contribution:

I didn't mind fighting it once or twice, but it just felt unnecessary going through it three times. I also knew that there were many ways to defeat it too.You didn't like the imprisoned? Did you fight him the right way? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nlPdw5H-Q0
5. Theory : the Link and Zelda in all The Legend of Zelda games are not the same, but essentially two souls reincarnated over and over. I mean, you have Link from SS, the first Hero who helped to make the Master Sword what it is, and Zelda, the girl who's the Goddess reincarnated. We don't know what happens when she dies, maybe she regains her goddess powers and then make it so Link and herself reincarnates, so that they can prevent the Demise's attempts to overthrow the world via his own incarnations.
It's basically the same idea as the Eternal Champion from Michael Moorcock's books.
But then there is Spirit Tracks where there is a new Link, a new Zelda and Linebeck III but still the same old Niko from Wind Waker...wut.

Some people/races simply live long in Zelda series. See Ganon. As far as the plot goes, the whole Impa thing surprised me more than anything else. Is there any explanations how she survived so long? The past -> future transition is 1,000 years correct?
Because it isn't a Skyward strike duh.
It's a lightning strike.
I did it with the default Sacred Shield, no Skyward Strike and no potions 8).Finished the game last night and the final boss took me 30 minutes longer than it should have due to Fi's trolling comments.
Fi: Master the Skyward Strike is useless here, don't bother using it.
Me: Huh, if you say so *Game Overs 7 times trying to attack Demise with the very few openings he has in the 2nd part of the fight*
Me: *Accidentally raises hand 25 minutes later. Lightning hits sword, electric Skyward Strike ensues*
Me: ...
Fi: ...
Not to mention I had the vanilla sacred shield, which he could break easily w/ 2 hits. This was the Sonic 3 barrel all over again for me.

I never listen to the guides in Zelda games.I mean, yeah... I understand that, but I think it's confusing to players when you tell them they can't do the thing that they technically should do to win. Instead of saying "you can't perform a skyward strike" in the second phase, the hint just should have been something else, like "study his moves closely".
Well props to you. Out of curiosity, when did you attack then? The only opportunity I ever saw was right after he shot out the electric beam?I did it with the default Sacred Shield, no Skyward Strike and no potions 8).
I never listen to the guides in Zelda games.
I find they slow me down.
He hits you with 3 normal attacks and if you shield bash all of them you can get in some hits, but if you mess up like 2 shield bashes you're shield breaks.Well props to you. Out of curiosity, when did you attack then? The only opportunity I ever saw was right after he shot out the electric beam?

I think Old Impa's Necklace is made of Timeshift StonesAs far as the plot goes, the whole Impa thing surprised me more than anything else. Is there any explanations how she survived so long? The past -> future transition is 1,000 years correct?
What about this guy?Sorry, just had to.
