I can only assume Orihime will eventually heal Tsukishima continuing her trend of only being able to heal villains, never the heroes
Well Aizen 2 is dead so there isn't that much left to drag down the arc. Beside, Aizen 3 is pussying out now and Riruka won't do shit.
Well if it ends like this then it would be really lame. But this arc hasn't even been going for that long to be over yet. Besides, you never know if now Tsukishima will come back stronger and with a vengeance... I dunno... If it just goes straight into something else then this whole arc was really fucking stupid. Also, now that Ichigo has his powers back, wtf is the point of him having fullbring? He won't need to use that at all.
One Piece: Oh God, Luffy is so boss... I can't wait to see him battle Big Mam in the New World. And speaking of Big Mam, after all these years of wondering what she looked like, I gotta say it's not what I was expecting... she's fucking HUGE. The way she was drawn, I couldn't tell if she was laying down or her body was all screwed up somehow. Either way, she's definitely not a good pirate like Shanks or Whitebeard considering she'll destroy an entire island over sweets and freakin' eat her own crew just for the hell of it.
Anyone wanting to take a guess as to what her Devil Fruit power is? It look like her drool was burning the ground where it hit, so I'm guessing her ability has something to do with Stomach Acid or Acid in general... a potentially dangerous ability like that might be what makes her one of the top pirates in the Grand Line.
THere were no fight sequences this week, so that stands to reason. Next chapter's not likely to feature any either.Bleach:
The things I said next chapter still stands. Tite Kubo can no longer draw fight sequences.
Jiraishin
Law & order SVU: The manga, with a bunch more campy, borderline misogynistic--straight sexist--twang, and a heartless protagonist. Awesome.
Now that I can highlight spoiler tags...
One Piece 651:
I wasn't down on the fight itself, vs many people in the thread wanting Big Mom to show up right as the Fishman Island arc was ending, among other things. I know some of the blame goes to Hodi being a horrible villain, but IMO the War Arc has screwed up the whole fan base's expectations. Now it looks like every arc people are going to want "info dumps" and big time marines/major characters showing up to fight Luffy. One Piece shouldn't need "Kuma/etc.." appearances every arc for it to be entertaining.
Oda draws ugly fat women: MORE BOOBIES.
Oda draws boobies: TOO MANY BOOBIES.
Who the fuck are you?
And who the fuck says too many boobs? There can never be enough boobs
Modern authors could learn a thing or two from Do the Auntie. The brilliance is in the simplicity.Do it now. I just read the newest chapter and it gave us the awesome following quote
"I have sucked my aunt's bare tits"
Pure genius.
Eiken fan?Who the fuck are you?
And who the fuck says too many boobs? There can never be enough boobs
Does this fulfill the prediction of Luffy "destroying" Fishman Island?
Hmm, SVU is one of my favourite guilty pleasures on TV. I might give this manga a try
Maybe it's a stretch
I think it is quite definately a huuuuge stretch.
Lol, I'm an SVU fan, myself. Though, I should note that it's like SVU in its case subject & structure. Everything else on the other hand--dialogue, art/atmosphere--everything is more Batman than anything. Still awesome. An example of what I'm on about below:

So they are all sex related crimes but with Batman as the detective? Still sounds good to me
I was kind of hopping Big Mom would be sexy.
Naruto
I don't know how to feel about the personification of these beasts. I guess it was a logical step, it's just so late in the game. Oh well.
The fight scene in the beginning with Kakashi was still good
Just read Shingeki no Kyojin last night. Now this is a badass manga. Why didn't I read this sooner?
I agree. The 9 tail Fox used to be a scary and intimidating presence
Now whenever Oda shows a panel of the Fox, it reminds me of a teenage girl pouting in her room
Who is the best character? And your answer better be Sasha
Most people in this thread reading Hunter X Hunter now never experienced the hiatuses. Regardless I'm excited, at the very least this means we're getting 10 more chapters.
Who is the best character? And your answer better be Sasha
Lol, if you were confused. The only correct answer to that question is Rivaille, you know this.
I don't think they're that big of a stretch.
Yep, HxH is continuing! That news really made my day.So I didn't see anything about a break for HXH. I guess that rumor it was breaking in December was false? Guess that could mean the anime could get further as well.

Its ok dude, i'll help you cheat. The answer is Eren.
He is just a generic shounen protagonist. Nothing special

Oda is so revered by MangaGAF some of its members even think that he's the one drawing Naruto :O
It was more about the precedent than any rumor thoughDont know why anyone put any stock into 'my friend is a big cheese at the anime factory in Nihon and he told me HxH anime and manga is going to....' this coming from something-awful forums of all places.

Except that he isn't, considering's he's intent on annihilating out the entire Titan Race (not very shonen like) is unusually perceptive, idealistic and he's not really talented at combat. He's merely average. He also has a sense of purpose, (unlike the other trainees) and is intent on exploring the outside world. Though i'll admit his insane courage and "do or die" attitude is very shonen like. Funny thing is, he's not the only one.
I agree with you on the idea against reductionism, but you should probably realize that everything you listed there is what makes the usual shounen protagonist--perceptive, idealism, purpose, initial lack of ability, inner demons--Eren has it all, but is an effective vehicle as the writing does a damn fine job of brining nuance into the picture.
