Fun Fact: Muu's new nickname; Bulu is supposed to be the indo-malay translation of feather.

Problem with is, feather is 'bulu pelepah'. Bulu just means fur in general. What makes things hilarious is that 'bulu' is usually used to refer to pubic hair.

Therefore I really can't take this arc seriously at the moment.

Man i think you just did the same thing to me , reading this arc will never be the same again roflmao .

Springtime of Youth Tenten is 10 million times better than real Tenten, even if the entire Springtime of Youth manga is a pretty straight Boke and Tsukkomi routine between Lee and Tenten.

The most recent one did remind me of that Chekov's Gun with the "inner gates" that you can open that we had in the first part. I wonder if Kishimoto actually plans to follow through on it or not, since he'd have to kill either Guy or Lee to use it.

So, uh, Murata's new one-shot came out (just raw though). Awesome art, amazing landscapes, medieval setting.. and a gag manga, apparently. Hahaha.. ha.

Oh well, at least it ends with a usual "expect more from Murata in the future"

The color pages looked so good too. Argh.

I just went through the RAW and I'm not too impressed, seems like an abridged version of what Toriyama normally does.

Is this really a one-shot? If so it kind of disappointing. I don't even remember seeing the characters on the cover in this.

Hayate 351

Damn gigolo. Enough already!

never stop

The final message ("expect more etc") could somehow maybe in some distant reality, imply that this will become an irregular serialization, i.e. chapter every couple issues, as a one-shot in the same setting, like that one series in Jump right now. But that would be the worst case scenario.

Silver Spoon

It's nice that this is selling well. The best new manga I've read. It's been constantly good since its start.

Gantz

Is this the the new king of slow ass manga?

It's supposed to be short though, like 60 chapters or so.

!!!

Stop lying! I hate you!

Maybe she'll get to Fullmetal Alchemist II: Al's Revenge after Silver Spoon finishes. It totally would be badass if she really did a weekly series about Al going to Xing after the end of FMA.

Man i hope not maybe some side stories but FMA had a good ending would hate to see it get mess up.
Unless you not being serious

Kamisama no Iutoori 1-6

This is one of the coolest "trapped and forced to play a game of death" series I have read. Starts out with bad shit happening and just escalates from there. It's already gotten to a ridiculous scale after only a few chapters. Kind of reminds me of the early stages of Gantz.

Why wouldn't I be serious? Al just left at the end to go do some adventuring, it's not like they have to go back to Amestris and fight the three remnants of Father that want to resurrect him.

Sequels are only bad as a rule when they intentionally rehash the original plot elements or undo the original plot resolution to recapture the magic of the first (i.e. when characters break up between series just so they can revive the romantic tension, i.e. Elena and Drake breaking up between both Uncharted 2 AND 3.). Al really just went off to Xing without any particular purpose and I don't remember them really fleshing out much about Alkhestry, so I don't think it would be that bad.

Claymore

I didn't get the last panel. Who's the awakened being supposed be? Clare?

Did you forget that Claire is trapped in some fossilized or whatever thing?

I wouldn't blame you.

The awekened is one of the three resurrected number 1 girls that now are, indeed, awekened, I know, neither you and I care about them, but hey...

How long has Claire been MIA? Wasn't she the MC?
This manga doesn't work as a one-chapter-a-month affair.

- Too much time

- Yes, but the manga seems to has focused on Maria lately.

Yeah I agree, it dosn't help it keeps adding more characters that no one cares about.

Can I read it right now or should I wait till I'm finished with SK? We're on ~ch50 right now

It's a prequel to Shaman King, before Yoh was Yoh, can't help you more than that because I haven't read SK myself.

Sket Dance - 173

Poor Bossun, the chuu + onee-chan combo was just too much.

Claymore

I didn't get the last panel. Who's the awakened being supposed be? Clare?

Miria was referring to the very fast awakened they are fighting now. She is saying that this awakened they are fighting developed similarly to Claire when she half-awakened against Rilgardo when they fought in the north.

Remember how Claire half-awakened form(two bladed leg limbs) can go very fast but only in one directions because she has no traction when changing direction? She fixed that solution by growing more bladed limb(her arms) so that she can get more traction and change direction at high speed to kill Rilgardo. The form of that fast awakened that Miria's group is fighting now would probably be similar to what Claire would developed into if she was allowed to awakened even further.

People with poor memory shouldn't really read monthly mangas as soon as they are out and instead just read them in huge blocks, it just make the manga less appealing or look bad to other people. I have no problem understanding this manga and D.Gray-Man, so am always surprised that people can't follow the story's progress.

That's true once she can stay away from problems you mention i won't mind seeing more to tell the truth.

On a side note i remember when my friends hated the ending of the claymore anime .
Now they don't read\care about claymore anymore and think the anime ending okay\good lol.

...Th...That's okay all good things must come to a end.

*curls up into ball in the corner*
Take solace in the fact that you will probably never have to watch the series go downhill/jump the manga shark because of the length. In Arakawa I trust.

Anyone have the link where she talked about when she wanted to end it? I have it in my head that the series is going to end with the main character's graduation for some reason.

My Claymore bro! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Surely you can't just attribute it to poor memory, people fapped to Fullmetal Alchemist just fine, and have no problems with Soul Eater either.

Ask Ignis, he's the one that heard it/told the story

You can follow along Soul Eater monthly with no problems? Its difficult in the 90's when they just introduced characters in one chapter, then the next month people forgot their names.

Soul Eater

God damn this manga is getting slow.

I had to skip over all the peachy bs. Those talks ... they just drag on and on.

Naked woman is pissing my off with all this riddle talk.

And why the hell does everyone seem like they're walking on eggshells around Franken Fran? They act like they're scared to ever talk to him ... starting to hope he dies just so that people will stop focusing on him and his insanity addiction or w/e. Without Madusa I don't care for him :/

Actually, I remember people haven't trouble following it when there are multiple storyline occuring at once before the final arcs.

This is a good example of what I am talking about. He has no idea why his allies are scared of Stein. Completely forget that Stein is the #1 Meister, is lethal even without the use of a weapon. That Stein is a ticking time bomb because he is so close to the Kishin(He can attack either side because of his growing insanity, the author even puts it there in that chapter). You also wonder why he ask Maria to turn into a weapon instead of the current #1 Weapon Deathscythe? Most likely because Maria has a calming aura effect that reduces his insanity.

I disagree. I like Claymore and D Gray Man, but those series are pretty long winded and just unmemorable at times. And as someone said Full Metal Alchemist was monthly too, and most of us didnt have problems with it.

Is there some Japanese trope about promising to marry someone and then forgetting who they are entirely, but then also wanting to still marry them? Because I've seen this occur like 5 times. It was even retconned into Ah! My Goddess.

That's like 1 out of every 3 romcom that involve childhood friends.

I disagree as I explained above. I guess I can't completely blame everything on poor memory, but also on page length. Soul Eater and FMA had lengthly pages per month compared to D.Gray-Man and Claymore. But you still can't deny that there are people who can't connect the dots between chapters and story arcs.

So, really... Since when could the Claymore ladies float? Is this new?

Chapter 110-111

One of the Claymore laid/tied strings of hairs around for other Claymore to stand on. The one with the long curly hair that said "The preparations are complete."

Finally someone else is reading this

Fukashigi Philia

Okay, calm down, take a sip, breathe. Okay. Let's look at this objectively.

Isumi masterminding stuff related to the case: saw it coming
Prophecy girl's amnesia related to the case: not really saw it coming, but not surprising
Rikiya having fucking anything to do with anything oh my god: save me my brain is turning purple

No, I know he's strong as shit and I didn't even talk about the woman that's looking all "gasp-faces".
But this doesn't make sense. "Ticking time bomb that can attack either side" ... why send him into the heart of the beast? Why is the one person who is supposed to anchor him all scared shitless? Why wont they actually talk to him? They both literally look like they're kids standing next to some tall scary man that they're simply powerless against.

They have been dragging the fuck out of this "Stein is sooooo weak to da insanity!!! :O" so long that I have lost all interest in his character.

Yes, I can very well follow monthly manga ... doesn't mean I have to like every month. I can openly say that this manga only seems good when it's focusing on either Black Star or Kid and maybe a few side characters (also that this manga makes no sense half the time). Hell, I think I can point out the chap where it seems like this manga went shitty ...

This.
I still think that FMA is the 2nd best manga I have ever come across and it was done so well where as S-E ... is far from that.

Soul Eater

What the shit did I read? Why do mangaka insist on writing philosophical bullshit when it's a fucking shounen battle manga? It's like they don't understand the only reason people read their manga is for the fighting.

I can't wait till next month for another insanity mad doctor shit

Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni vol 1

Jesus, you can really tell this is by the Higurashi guy. Dem facial expressions.

Dude does an excellent job at really making you hate the teacher. Poor Marie can't catch a break :/

Damn...

So i mentioned earlier how i've been re-reading One Piece (its been a blast) and i'll definitely come up with a summary soon, but man...

Tashigi... her original design was amazing and Oda kinda ruined it when he re-introduced her in the marineford arc. Where's the kuina throwback, she's basically a completely different character now. I know his art-style changed, but couldn't he have at least used her original art-style? Instead of the nico-robin / boa esque design he gives to all female characters now. (even her figure isn't right anymore)

Its nitpicky, but fuck I really liked her character.

PS: Luffy smiles before his (failed) execution. What a boss.

Awesome, PK Gaming. My sister has finally conceded and decided to start reading One Piece. I decided since I sped through it to catch up about a year back, I would re-read/re-watch it with her. It will be much needed since there is so much content in these 600some chapters, that a nice refresh will be good. We will be going through the anime for specific battles and manga for storytelling/everything else.
