8 degrees Celsius isn't cold... wtf?

Where I live it's usually -25 degrees Celsius or so every day (sometimes as low as -40 with the wind chill). For some reason these last two years have been really tame though. It's only -2 right now. Although it's gonna get colder as soon as morning's over, it's so warm in comparison to a usual winter. Global warming in full effect? We all gun die.

As someone who's lived most of their life in Dallas and Houston Texas, 40 F is not cold.

I'm not sure why I've never met a texan with no opinion on the subject. They always have some extreme opinion about the state.

Yeah. In the UK we had one of the coldest winters I've known last year. I remember walking in -10 weather which I have never done before in my life. It's really strange because I don't know how to judge it when it is that cold. I've never experienced it.

It very rarely goes below 0. We tend to get cold spells rather than consistently cold weather.

Currently 13°C which isn't that bad really.
