Can we have themes or costume suggestions for each month?
Fashion-wise or functionality? Because I don't really care how they look, but I wear them almost exclusively since they cover a larger area than regular sunglasses.

A classic, simple silhouette that can be tweaked in a large number of ways (color shape material etc). Mine are bronze and pretty chunky vs say ray bans.

I always enjoyed when you'd update the headline. Always made it worth peeking over at your avatar every few weeks just to see what was currently in it. c:
Selection bias would create a hugely disproportionate sample, I suspect. I have difficulty imagining a scientific study that would be more affected by this distortion than personal appearance.
Not that I'm trying to dismiss your point entirely, PXG. Just that it's highly unlikely that we can extrapolate what we see here and assume that the entire forum is filled with supermodels.
Conclusion: GAF contains only the best looking "hardcore" gamers.
The representative heuristic (and some GAFfers outright claiming they're too intimidated/ashamed to post pictures) goes a long way in suggesting we're not destroying any age-old stereotypes, really.

Indeed. I think it's fair to assume many have chosen not to show their image because they lack confidence.
I do as a matter of fact, but I find it helpful because people help build confidence by talking to you. And you might even get the odd compliment.

I agree. I do welcome anyone on the forum to join in on the fun though, we joke about having individual groups (aviator,necktie,beard) but that's just us being nerds. What this is really about is trying a more personal approach to the forum, personally seeing someones face has changed the mood of this thread in a direction I have not experienced on GAF. I encourage anyone to join in on the fun if only for just new years, we are all good people in here (so far.)
