How's China? I thought about going there, but I decided I didn't want to live in Asia again for awhile (bad company experience even if living there is nice.) My best friend worked in Korea for three years, and she had a terrible experience. I swear she must have worked for the worst company in the world. It's only through her stubbornness and resistance to change that she stayed on for so long.

Korea is cool. A lot cheaper than Japan, so you can go out all the time and still save a good chunk of cash. Pretty modern infrastructure. Nothing quite so impressive as Nikko or a lot of the temple sites in China, but it has some nice places to visit.
