That hand pass call was awful, but whatever.

Our pk lost us another game. If we had an anywhere near decent pk, there's no way we lose.

Oh and fire wilson.
 
It was fun watching Hockey for the first time in many years, last year.

Not so much anymore..........

Our PP sucks.

We score first, we lose.

We pull out the goalie at the end of every match, and lose.

We have penalties left and right.

We have a bunch of wounded players.

edit: and now Cole scores, but it's too late.

No you won't, Leaf fans love everyone and only cheer in polite moderation and in an inclusive manner that makes both teams welcome. I mean, why even keep score, let's just toss a bucket of pucks onto the ice for the kids and have a good time.

Id be dissapointed about losing Manics, but he was gone at the end of the season anyway. Make no mistake, his presence will be missed. RIP.
 
Manics! I think once Penis was gone, and Wilson extended, he just decided it wasn't worth it any more.

I'm sick of the Leafs right now. And I don't think Burke lasts more than 1 more season.

Disappointing game.

Burke sure looks dumb now. Extend Wilson, with whom the Leafs had consistently the worst PK during his entire tenure, end up outside of a playoff spot (will happen within minutes I think, Ottawa will leapfrog Toronto).

Listening to that broadcast was soul crushing. The crew was going for the jugular every time the topic of the Leaf PK came up. =(

Usually I despise Healy's "commentary" but tonight he was spot on. We are so pathetic on the PK and have been for the entirety of Wilson's tenure. Makes me sick to my stomach.
 
5 on 3 for the US, lol I'm always impressed when a guy gets the delay of game for clearing the far glass. You should be rewarded!

I always hate Healy, but he's unbearable during Leaf games. It's like he's campaigning for the coaches job, except for when he's angling for the GM position
 
Great 3rd period in Edmonton anyway. Glad the US made a game of it, but Canada goes 4 and 0 in the group stage. Hay looks pissed at the third period though.

The 50/50 is over 140k? Daaaaamn.
 
Enroth gets first start in weeks, teammates let him face 44 shots. More like 50 if you figure in all those posts Ottawa hit...

Seems like the offense can never show up the same night as the goalies or the defense.

Yea, I'm feeling the same. He played well even though he was shaky a bit. Crazy all around.
 
Just got back from the Jets game. Hahah it was awesome to boo the hell out of this team in person here for the first time in years since they were here last.

Such a satisfying way to end what has been a banner year for sports here in Winnipeg.

You have no idea man. It would have been good even if we lost, but adding the win and the fact that it was against the Leafs made it that much better. My first time in box seats. I must say, it was odd to see people NOT all in Jets jerseys and seeing some cheer for the Leafs, but the rest of us shut them the hell up pretty good.

But I couldn't boo Reimer. He's like... from here, essentially, and that's why he got the start instead of whatever other goalie they have who is apparently better at this point. Most of his family was probably at the game. Even though they lost, his family must have been very proud, nonetheless. Kessel and Phaneuf though... No mercy for those two.

Glad to see the Leafs true /depth is being shown here. Being 10th place in the East.

I am so impressed with the Jets right now. They really have shown that they have heart when it comes to winning. This month was quite exceptional for them, barring the destruction by the Wings and Pens, plus the boring loss to the Caps, but other than that...

We kicked ass this month. =)

I know many question our road record but this is not the same team that we had at the start. They have grown and become more confident and have gotten really great chemistry. Not so many dumb giveaways and we are able to hold a lead or not collapse in the 3rd for the most part (Pens loss being a sore reminder that we have work to do still) Plus all of our players have really stepped up with some exceptions, but there is still plenty of time for them to get their groove.

We'll see how the little break treats the Jets come Wednesday and Thursday. I'm not going to say they will be easy games, because who knows? But I'm fairly confident that we can beat the Habs and Leafs at home.

Every Ducks game I've seen (watched a few full games and bits and pieces of others) and it just seems like Getzlaf, Perry and Ryan, for the most part, just don't give a fuck, Getzlaf especially.

Selanne is the major exception, as he actually looks as good as ever to me. It's a shame he's playing on such a shit team who's best players look to have no interest in winning.

We've had shitty games but today topped them off. Getzlaf was shit the entire game. Hiller sucks ass and Lydman needs to go. I'm disappointed in this team but yet I can't give up on them. I'm still holding on to Blake coming back and everything turning around.

No chance in hell we turn this season around but something in me won't let me accept that.

I won't give up until I see these lines lose a game:
Ryan Getzlaf Perry
Blake Koviu Selanne
Hagman Cogliano Gordon
Pelley Bonino Smith-Pelly

The fourth and parts of third are interchangeable but when I see the Ducks lose with a line up like that then I'll officially throw in the towel.

I think Anderson had a small case of the holiday hangover against Montréal. He seems to have bounced back just fine now.

It'll be interesting to see where the Sens go from here as they always have a better record after a new year.

Totally, it seems like he always tried to keep it at a good level for the good of the community. Penis and manics should start the new forum and make Bish the one and the only mod.

There was a small, miniscule amount of hope in me that MSG wouldn't be complete dickheads and pull their signal from TW customers in NY, but they did it. Happy New Years to all sports fans who rely on their signal, and are unfortunately locked in to TW. Enjoy your teams!

Heh, I bailed on Time Warner a few weeks ago when I got that letter about how they were raising rates again. Was gonna cost me $130+ for 15/5 internet and one HD box. Hopped over to Fios and have 35/35 internet, 3 HD boxes, and a lower bill. Another nice treat was Fios got MSG HD like the day before I got my cable installed.

Sucks for people in contracts or with no fios coverage, though.
