Unicorns is too poppy. Islands introduces muuuuuch more genres and styles and Nick integrates all of them together quite well.

That's why Unicorns kinda benefited by being a (pretty much) one off band. They made one real album and it's AWESOME. They didn't have a chance to get stale.

I couldn't get into Arm's Way too much (except for In the Rushes, godly song), but Return to Sea and Vapours are great. I really hope the next record holds up.
Busdriver (the rapper on Where There's Will There's a Whalebone), is wonderful too.

Not so much really. Step in the right direction, but that genre will do me no good. Nowadays it takes some nice heavy electronic music, or mega catchy pop tunes to get me going.

Yeah Arm's Way is not a great album, but it has some great jams. J'aime is, I think Islands' best song. At the very least, one of them, any way.

You know what sweet I'm dying to have from Yemen? I dont know of they make them in other middle eastern countries, but I think it's called haresa. It's soft and red and tastes really good... No one makes it here in new york though
