The price. so expensive. was expecting it to be $29.99

I always assumed it would be $39.99

Also in regards to these $29.99 games like Wipeout 2048, Modnation & Hot Shots; I hope they're not being priced like because SCEA is going with online passes that have to purchased separately for $10 a piece.

It's just odd that they're first party titles are hitting at $30, meanwhile Uncharted is $50.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...

I went ahead and cancelled my Vita First Ed. Bundle pre-order. The bundle just didn't seem to justify its price. The extra $50 I was spending on the bundle can be better used upgrading the memory card. So instead, I've pre-ordered the 3G/Wifi Vita and a 32GB memory card. I'm seriously considering going 100% digital distribution with the Vita and the 4GB card included in the bundle wouldn't get me very far.

Has there been any word yet on whether US PSN downloads will be sold at a reduced price as they are in Japan?

Just now starting to look into getting one of these. So all games will be downloadable from the PSN store, or just select titles?

Does anybody know if WipEout is full res?

I remember reading something here before about a special launch bundle of some sort? Something about getting it a couple days early, but only applies to the 3G version. Am I crazy, or can some one sum that up for me?

I'm trying to figure out what all I'll need to buy here. Based on what I see in the op, it's looking like

250 Vita
40 starter kit for a memory card

Then Uncharted, Wipeout, Lumines, and maybe Army Corps. Oh, and is Gravity Rush still a PSN only release?

Anyway, I'm hyped about the new hardware launch. I almost forgot how soon it is.

Where to begin.........

Yes, there is a First Edition Bundle that launches a week early. Comes with Little Deviant, 4GB card, a case, & 3G Vita for $350. Gravity Rush is a retail release but will be on PSN also.

Have they said what games will be day and date PSN releases as well? Like, could I buy Lumines on the PSN store the day of release?

Much thanks. Really glad to hear about Gravity Rush; I must have been mistaken.

Not sure how I actually feel about getting it though. Little Deviants and 3G are both kinda meh for me, but the week early thing is stupidly appealing. I'm conflicted. Thanks again for the quick info.

Has anyone mentioned whether Vita games DL/Install like a normal game should? Not like PSP games where it needed double the space to do so.

Ridge Racer goes for €25 here, not too bad if they add some extras for the western launch.

Still debating if I should get a 8gb or 16gb card, might go 8gb because I'll probably won't need more until more games come out.

and the future of simple 2d puzzle games, a 5 mins here and there is not for me either.

You say that as if the only games coming out at cheaper prices are throw-away shovelware.

No matter if console/handheld makers like it or not, other platforms are providing a lot of great (or at least good) gaming for far, far less. Just like the music and movie industries have had to do, console/handheld makers need to re-think their industry and what they see as standard procedure.

Oh wait, did you mean the Europe pre-order box, or the box the actual Vita comes with? If it's the later, then yes it does. The former doesn't.

Maybe the razors/razorblades model doesn't work anymore. Whats the equivalent analogy when the razor blades are only 99c, but the razor is $500 and you have to pay $50 a month to keep using it?

I've been going through some launch title information to try and narrow down what I'm going to pick up with my Vita in February.

So far it looks like:
16GB Memory Stick
Screen Film
Wipeout 2048 (PSN)
Super Stardust Delta (PSN)
Army Corps of Hell (retail)
Shinobido (retail)
Dynasty Warriors Next (retail)

I'd like to play Uncharted but not at $50 for a straight single player game of 10 hours. I'll wait for a price drop. Ridge Racer is a possibility but not likely since I'll have Wipeout and the release of Motorstorm RC shouldn't be too far off. I'm also very interested in Gravity Rush and possibly Unit 13 depending on how final reviews and impressions are.

I found some funny and interesting mini reviews on Youtube for several games and apologies if they've been linked before but the guy doing them is pretty hilarious. Here's his Army Corps of Hell video if you are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgOksP5-HxU&feature=g-all-u&context=G2b79c47FAAAAAAAAQAA Army Corps looks entertaining and I'm glad we're getting it over here in the States.

anyone knows which store will be carrying the accessories in canada? I cant find anything on gamestop/bestbuy/amazon site

Amazon not putting accessories up for preorder is annoying me!!!! I've already got the 3g preordered, but I would like to order all of of my games and accessories in the same order.

Have all been confirmed, and Yoshida hinted at a possible Youtube app.

According to a WatchImpress article, Sony may have announced Flickr service for Vita (in Japan) too. Not sure about worldwide yet.

If there is no Youtube app, it'll be a huge disappointment since you can't even load Youtube on their shitty browser. And Japan has their app for their Youtube equivalent

I've ordered every Vita game/accessory as a separate order cause I keep getting special promo codes to knock off a few bucks, lol. Plus the games and accessories should come 1 week early (I don't plan to get the early edition so having my other stuff early will be nice)
