It's not like modern anime hair is realistic anymore. Hair doesn't clump into perfectly shaped pointy bits unless you haven't washed it for days and it's all matted together.

Like this:

If it bothers you that much pretend she has flat pressed dreads.

Cloud just uses a lot of gel, man!

@Erigu

Haha, I do frequently make odd leaps in logic, but this wasn't actually one of them. The fact that
that Kurisu does remember before the end, which I missed, I admit, or that Mayuri remembers and tells him not to worry anymore, doesn't negate the fact that by not just Okabe's understanding, but by Suzuha 'of the fully understanding future's' infodump, they really should remember nothing at all.
For the narrative to quickly say before the end
"Hey, they all have reading steiners to some extent, or just that it's possible is a deus ex, and does indeed break its own established logic.
Which is all you can work off of in a case like this.

e:Major spoiler fail. Had to take the quote out since I couldn't locate the root of the issue in time, lol.

I demand consistency for one of the best characters.

How's Mandoric handling these last few pages
Selective blindness I believe.
In the vein of my previous posts, I've uploaded a transcription of an interesting short paper from Ígor Dmítrievich Nóvikov, who postulated the 'self-consistency principle' that is proclaimed and defended by many time-travel apologists:

Good read, the time loop analogy is particularly illuminating.

Just an innocent query but, why would you start with Zeta (a sequel to another show in the UC continuity) and then jump to Wing (in it's own continuity) before moving on to more 'one off' works and then hitting up Unicorn (which set after the original show, Zeta, Double Zeta and Char's Counter Attack and so forth). It just seems a bit...sporadic.

Why not?

I actually watched Wing first about a decade ago then SEED in the mid 2000's. As for the rest, I'm watching them on Crunchyroll. I did go through MSG a year or so ago when Crunchyroll had it and other Gundam series up for a "limited time". Did not have time to catch Zeta at that point before they took it down. While Crunchyroll did eventually bring them back it was only recently I had the urge to watch Zeta. Wing and 00 (already watched 00 back in the spring) are alternate universes so it really does not matter when I watch them compared to those in the UC time line. I may watch ZZ, have not decided yet. I know about Char's Counter Attack and I do plan to buy it with or before Unicorn.

Fair enough explanation?

My problem with the wacky camera angles is that they're creative but unfocused. They're just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks with no real rhyme or reason behind those choices much of the time. It's amusing the first time 'round, unilluminating the second, and often tiring. I have no strong feelings one way or another wrt SHAFTO, but I can see why they'd have haters.

It is preferable to putting in no effort at all, but ideally, creativity is focussed and harnessed by purpose & vision.
Not at all.

Sorry, but I don't follow you...

Faris faintly remembering another world line was surprising / unexpected (and felt like a convenient deus ex machina to me, at the time), yes, but by the time Ruka did as well, one could infer that anybody could get flashes like that, actually (given the right stimuli and a reason to believe they're more than mere dreams or fantasies). And the rest of the story certainly seems to confirm that. Still a "convenient" aspect of the plot, but at least, it's not like the writer went "I don't know how to resolve this thing with Faris, so let's just say she's special and has this convenient supernatural ability!", as I initially feared.
Then, there was no real reason to assume that ability was limited to a specific Attractor Field. Beta Kurisu remembering events from Attractor Field Alpha doesn't break any established rule.

I don't see the problem, there? I see a bunch of problems elsewhere, but not there. ^_^;
Does it bother you that Suzuha didn't mention those flashes, perhaps? I wouldn't assume she knew everything there was to know about time travel...

Speaking of hair helmets.

Bowl cuts. Are. Ugly.

That's the one.

It's Jexhius approved, it can't be that bad!

Hey, I only approved the first episode, I can't speak to how effectively oblique camera-work and erratic editing are used in the remained of the series.

I wasn't terribly enticed by the idea of heavy focus on pantyshots, even if allegedly in the service of metacommentary on pantyshots & the state of the world today.

Then Reg said he hated it recently.

Also, I've no idea what it's about.

To be fair, it's only like that one pantyshot, it just goes on for 40 seconds.

That makes it sound worse, doesn't it?

Itsa harem (with some supernatural elements to tie the 'narrative' - that is, the steady accumulation of waifus - together).

Hey now, at the end
the girls totally say that it isn't a harem, so clearly it isn't.

Clearly.

You missed the chance to say something like:
Well, I was going for more of a "good people know their limitations" angle. Putting in any effort when they don't have the talent/experience/knowledge/personal ability/etc to do what they're trying to do is really not anything that we should look at as a positive.

SHAFT shows would be better if the lesser staff merely did what they could within their own personal limits instead of poorly attempting to emulate Shinbo by haphazardly throwing shit together with funny camera angles.

Don't forget to add that it centers around 2 loli's, 2 fanservice machines and a tsundere.

Wait, since when was Kanbaru a fanservice machine? Perhaps in the trailers for the new series, but she isn't in the main work.
Yeah, I never saw her as much of a tsundere despite them calling her one.

Well Araragi actually says that's wrong and calls her a 'tsun-dra'. I think.
psst I know she's a self proclaimed tsundere, but I'm trying to sell it to Icarus.

Why would you want others to suffer through elongated cellphone conversations in the Snail Arc?
