You serious bro? You think the only thing he contributes is receptions?

You must think Peppers is a pedestrian player.

Peppers is awesome, but by that logic than you must think Suh is amazing because he always draws a double-team as well. It is rare for a team to have no WR that draws a double-team anymore.

Although, you're in Chicago, so I guess you wouldn't know what that even means.

They let anyone in these days.

40-some yards away from breaking Marino's record himself. 5th-highest passing yards in NFL history. 41 TDs. Most of his interceptions coming in a 3-game stretch with a broken finger. 90-plus yard drives to come back and win games.

To me, that's elite.

One season! Enshrine him! I like that you also have built in excuses for his failures. Remember when you laughed when I called him Glass? What is it, was he hurt or not?

I agree, Matt Flynn is e-l-i-t-e!

Uh...Suh is a really good player. He's not great because he's not disciplined.

You know what's smart? Playing with an injury you shouldn't play with and costing your team games. Elite.

Fisher will interview in St. Louis this week:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/01/02/jeff-fisher-will-interview-in-st-louis/

It’s believed that Fisher wants to go to a place with a quarterback in place. St. Louis certainly qualifies. Fisher has close ties to the Rams.

Fisher’s agent is Marvin Demoff, the father of Kevin Demoff, Rams COO and Executive Vice President of Football Operations.

It sounds like Fisher is going to be back in the NFL this year. St. Louis gets the first crack at speaking with him and possibly making him the next Rams head coach.

Ahh feels strange to be looking forward to a game this week. I am ready. Pretty sure Htown is ready. Shit is gonna get real down here on Saturday..CAN'T WAIT

Suh is basically Blount, without you know, actually being any good.

I hate Boise St like NFL GAF hates the Saints so I LOL every time I see that.

LOL

Peter King says if they hire Fisher, they'll go after GM later. Strange. Whatever. Fisher isn't a power nut. Knows what he doesn't know. Still will be key, as well as finding an OC

I'm not sure if this was posted but here's more on the Holmes situation with the Jets and what transpired before even the game in Miami took place:

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...-a-cancer-its-like-dealing-with-a-10-year-old

At the Jets cleaned out their lockers Monday after their disappointing end to the season, a source told the Daily News that Holmes gave Sanchez a hard time at the meeting on Wednesday and then when Sanchez got the group together on Thursday, Holmes did not bother to show up.

“He went back and forth with Mark at the meeting,” the source said. “He was saying stuff like, “What am I even here for?” Then he blew off Mark by not even showing up the next day.”

Holmes did not catch a pass in Miami, the first he time he’s been shut out in his career. He was targeted only once. A source told the News that Holmes wasn't paying attention to Sanchez in the huddle as early as the second quarter. At halftime, Holmes was "moping in front of his locker," according to a source.

“He’s a cancer," one player said. "It’s like dealing with a 10 year old."

Holmes got into shouting matches in the huddle on two consecutive series in the fourth quarter. Players were upset that Holmes appeared disinterested and not even listening to Sanchez in the huddle.

After Sanchez met the media Monday, the Daily News attempted to ask Sanchez about last week’s meetings. He refused to even let the question be asked. “No,” he said. “I’m done.”

Holmes got into shouting matches in the huddle on two consecutive series in the fourth quarter. Players were upset that Holmes appeared disinterested and not even listening to Sanchez in the huddle.

“Go home. Go to the sidelines,” one player said to him.

They began screaming at each other in the huddle. On the next series, tackle Wayne Hunter and Holmes got into it in the huddle. Soon after, Holmes was benched when Patrick Turner ran on the field, tapped him on the shoulder and told him he was replacing him. Holmes then sulked on the bench.
Yikes. That's what 50 million gets you, apparently. If there was ever any wonder while Pittsburgh dropped the guy for a 5th round pick - there you go.

Again, you keep "calling me out" on things I agree with. Stafford SHOULD NOT have played those games with the broken finger. You can even search my post history from those weeks and see for yourself that I was saying the same things.

How in the world are the Jets bringing back Santonio Holmes?

We go from "He's a locker room cancer" to "We want him back" in a span of 10 hours?

But I bet if Mark and Santinio decided to go get some In n Out, Mark would be the one driving. Fast food intangibles like that don't grow on trees.

This actually kinda surprised me.

That's a great stat...I'm curious to see how this will go over in today's new pass-happy NFL or if it won't make a difference.

A bunch of posters here, yourself included, were saying he wouldn't last the season and would be injured early. You still haven't admitted you were wrong, nor do I expect you to.

16 games played by the team, 16 games started.

I can't perceive if this post is a dig at me/Bears or not. I was just surprised. Felt like running game put up a lot of duds (against Detroit and the especially game one against the Pack).

No dig at all--it was a serious post. The league seems to be going pass-crazy as evidenced by how many people ended up with huge numbers this year.

I am genuinely curious to see how a strong running team like the Bears will benefit/be hindered, or if it won't matter at all.

But he only did bad because he was injured?

There's no way Caldwell can keep his job. I'm still amazed he's an NFL head Coach at all after his average stint at Wake Forest. Then you have Bill O'Brien....go figure.

It's amazing he was ever even the coach at all. Clearly he did nothing ans Peyton ran the show.

Stafford makes CJ the best WR in the league, I agree.

Where was this CJ records when stafford was not throwing to him. Or did CJ just this year became megatron.

CJ was great before stafford. Stafford made him all world.

Last year Lions offense had CJ,Nate, Pett,Tony all the same. Except this year we lost best.

Yet , our offense is top 5 in every single relevant category in air. Huge improvement form last year.

Only difference from last year. This year we had Stafford. Last year we didnt.

Hell even our defense was statistically better last year. (scoring)

41 TD, 16 INT, 5000+ yards. With no running game.

Thank you Stafford for taking us to the playoffs.
