"The first thing I want be done is to get that piece of crap team out of my field! Don't just get them off the field, get them out of the NFL, because I've proven son, without a shadow of a doubt - they ain't got what it takes anymore. They sit there and twirl their towels, and sing their chants, and it didn't get them anywhere. Talk about John. 3:16, Tebow 3:16 says: I've just whipped your ass!! All Lebeau's gotta do is buy himself a cheap bottle of Thunderbird, and try to dig back some of that courage, he had in his prime. As the AFC West Champion, I'm serving notice to every one of the AFC superstars. I don't give a damn what they are, they are all on the list, and that is Tebow's list, and I'm fixing to start running through all of them. As far as this next playoff game is considered, son, I don't give a damn, if it's Ton Brady or Bill Belichick. Tebow's time has come, and when I get the shot, you are looking at the next NFL champion, and that's the bottomline - cause Tim Tebow said so!"

Just got back from a party. God damn the place was going nuts. High fives everywhere.

PITT was the clear villain, with all the bullshit calls their way. Really seemed like DEN just didn't have anything left. Then Doom with the clutch sack, and Tebow and Thomas with the kill shot. So glad they beat the cheating, rape apologist Steelers. What a game!

Polamalwhatever got worked all game. 300 yds plus to a guy with that skill as a passer? All game he was out of position.

"that skill"... really? He threw several perfectly thrown difficult deep balls and other passes. It's time to give the guy credit. The coaching staff finally let him open it up and these are the results.

So glad the Broncos won. I hated that the Lions got screwed on that one call yesterday, then to see the Broncos get screwed on the same thing was so disappointing.

Running on 1st down the entire game was crazy, Tebow made a few bad passes like usual, but he made the good ones that keep his team in it as well, along with a couple nice catches by receivers. Decker had to die so the Broncos may live.

Tebow's passing line today: 10/21, 316 yards

John 3:16- For in this way God loved the world: that he gave the unique son, so that all the ones trusting in him would not perish, but have eternal life.

10/21- October 21, the date Harold Camping gave for the end of the world (after his first date failed)

...

hold me.

That was an amazing game!! Tebow is CLUTCH

Huh??? 9 =/= 10

edit: I see Wolf took care of that.

You know, I felt absolutely fucking miserable earlier today, but that Broncos/Steelers game actually made me feel a little bit better.

Just a little bit though.

So many thoughts about the Falcons/Giants game right now, but I just want to say good game to Giants-GAF.

On the last on it was Mundy who blew the play. We never get the full story b/c players don't leave each other out to dry, but Ike was clearly expecting help there

Well, Ike's guy caught 4 balls for 204 yards and a TD, the OT winner. The other TD toss was on William Gay and Mundy in the 2nd quarter. Troy blew two coverages and Mundy the rest.

... so anyone else kicking themself for not following through with the urge to put a small bet on Denver winning the SB when the miracle first started back in November?

According to my local radio morning show, putting money on the Broncos (for the host, at least) is a sure way to kill their chance of winning. Also, she must watch from her special chair or they're doomed.

Had to DVR from about 9 minutes left in the 1st half onwards. Just finished watching. On the one hand, I had indicated I was nervous about this game for two reasons - 1, the Steelers have played like shit against mediocre competition this year and 2, Goodell made sure this game was scheduled for Sunday, Tebow's Day.

However, I will eat crow for all the trash talk I spewed last night.

GG, Broncos-GAF. Tebow completes 10 passes for 316 yards. All of the "Teeeeeebbbbooooooowwwww!!!!" posts or not, the dude had a monster game.

I will be onboard whoever is playing the Pats and Ravens from here on out. Anyone else wins, it's good news. If either of those teams wins, it's the worst fucking thing imaginable.

The Steelers will need o-line help in the draft, and they'll need to start back-filling that aging D as well.

Pre-snap, free safety Ryan Mundy came down in the "Robber" look, obviously to read whether the Broncos were going to run. The playfake to running back Lance Ball was a great call here (especially out of shotgun) because the move up to the inside run fit was predetermined. At the snap, and as Thomas ran the deep cross from left to right, Taylor shifted out to outside position to cover him, and Mundy was a step late to cover underneath as he read the fake. That step was all Thomas needed to run the post route and catch the ball at the left hashmark. He beat Taylor from inside, and had the speed edge on Mundy in intermediate coverage. From there, it was off to the races, and the touchdown that sent Denver into a pandemonium.

The mistake was Taylor's — he should have kept inside position in that instance. This wasn't a case of Mundy inadvertently biting on the run — in this coverage, he was doing what he was supposed to do. As Routt told me, it's one of the weaknesses of the coverage when you disguise it as the Steelers did. In Super Bowl XLIII, the Steelers gave up a touchdown to Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals out of a similar coverage idea.

My bad on that, though it seems the call wasn't all that stellar either

Just checked the score and I'm mildly surprised that the Broncos won. Neither team is very good so I'm not that surprised. I see Tebow had his typical terrible passing performance. 10 of 21 is so elite.

You Missed One Hell of a Game!

For Shame

Should have watched this one. It was seriously entertaining.

Umm we were very good until fucking Cleveland when Ben got hurt and then it just downward spiraled on injuries and performance. Our defense has been sorta weak all year though, despite what it says on paper and that was seen here tonight.

Missed the best game of the weekend, by far. Giants/Falcons was the snoozer, jesus christ falcons.

HOLY SHIT WHAT A GAME!

I disappeared from the thread because I had a wedding to attend so I was forced to leave at 6:30. I heard the McGahee fumble on the radio while on the freeway and damn near swerved into an old couple due to angrily pounding on the steering wheel. My 3G coverage sucked when I got downtown and when I finally loaded up ESPN I saw the final score.

I was so excited that I ended up leaving the wedding reception fairly early. I couldn't even game the sexy single ladies there without talking about Tim Tebow (they didn't share my excitement), so I rushed home to watch the last half of the 4th quarter and OT on my DVR.

What a great throw and catch to end the game! The Steelers were so focused on stopping the run that they left the middle of the field wide open. The defense came up huge and stopped what was looking like a Steelers game-winning drive, and the Broncos benefited from some extremely good fortune. Despite the refs blowing what I consider to be crucial calls, the ball bounced Denver's way all night.

Also, I know its been mentioned but I have to say: Nearly all of Josh McDaniels' draft picks that are still with the team came up huge today. Tebow and DT are the obvious ones, but Robert Ayers had 2 sacks and was a monster all night, and the young offensive linemen that McDaniels drafted played great and gave Tebow time to bomb it down the field all day. I have a feeling that if he gets another crack at a head coaching job he'll keep his ego in check and turn into a fantastic head coach.

His completion % isn't far off from Big Ben's and he didn't turn the ball over and made throws when it counted. And he did it against a much better defense.

This is why I stay out of NFL threads on GAF. Unbelievable.

Cowardly Ryan has finally found his place. Falcons need to cut him if they want a chance to win. So much for the Falcons staying toe to toe with the Packers for the next few years.
