So we're to assume that if the conference weren't having a down year, then teams might have been able to beat Nebraska, which could possibly maybe have resulted in Nebraska not playing the #4 SEC team? Let's also not assume there were any other distractions that might have popped up to keep those teams that are now magically resurgent in this stupid hypothetical where they were on the field in reality.

This is the argument you're making?

Even were the conference in better shape this year Nebraska wouldn't have dropped in the Big Ten standings. Other teams might shift around but I don't see Iowa or Northwestern moving from where they're at. The only team that's likely to see any real standings change is Ohio State. The folks that were higher in the B1G standings over Nebraska might have changed but those below are unlikely to see much shift.


Usually the Big 10 just chokes in the main game, and does well in all the lower level bowls.

Correct me if I'm wrong the the only recent good year the Big Ten has had was 2009 as far as bowl performance goes. In the past half decade they've marked up a 2-5, 1-6, 4-3, and 3-5.
 
Is it just me or is the Rose Bowl HD feed absolutely awful quality?

I'm in 46th, because in addition to just picking a lot of losers I forget to hit "submit" after I made my picks on one of the earlier days and didn't get my picks in for the TCU and Boise State wins.

Luckily I decided early on to not bother with confidence points so my big point games are still to come.
 
Man, those Oregon helmets look like horrible body kits for cars.

What argument? I'm not even convinced we're talking about the same thing.

I'm simply responding to the question: Why big ten no win?

Because PSU sucks because [x]; Iowa sucks and got OK (this point is ancillary); OSU sucks because [x]; Nebraska played a good opponent; MSU won; Wisconsin looking good.

QED, man. I'm not making some "special" argument about anything.
