Then again, I don't even go to book stores anymore. It's all Amazon or Kindle for me, now. Yay!

I have indeed. There are three books i keep on my nightstand at all times, that is one of them. (the other two being The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa, and Man Without a Country by Kurt Vonnegut)

Haha, I haven't been there for awhile myself (except maybe if I was in the area just for something to do.) But I remember it being full of manga readers back then too :<

I prefer going to one of our used book stores if I'm going at all. Much better selection (sadly) more helpful employees and the customers are better too (typically book nerds like myself.)

I used to spend hours in a book store, browsing the fantasy section, seeing a cover I liked and reading the description. I would always walk out with 3 or 4 books. Bookstores were such a huge part of my life, back when I had less hobbies and more time and could read whenever I wanted.

There's a great used book store in Boulder that I've been to a few times that is really awesome. Lots of amazing used books, lots of rare editions and such. A real book nerd's dream. I wish I could remember the name.

Growing up, my hobbies were gaming, comics, and computers, so my time in the book store was spent either in the magazine aisle, the comic book aisle, or in the computer textbook aisle reading up tips for photoshop or something.

A remarkable number of the subjects I used to go to bookstores for are available to access on the internet for free now.

(I just realized my hobbies haven't changed much)

My birthday is May 4th. My aunt calls me every year and says "May the Fourth be with you."

It always makes me chuckle.

I got put on an ugly list once, a long long time ago now.*

This girl came up to me, and said: ashes, you made it to an ugly list some of the girls made.

And I was like oh, thanks for telling me.

After seeing that there was an actual ugly list, I remember thinking that the rest of the day was gonna go horrible or something, like when your team loses a match. but it didn't. :P

Well I at least I don't remember that it did. If you don't have looks, you have to concentrate more on the important things in life... character, personality, intellectual ability, comedy timing..?

I haven't got around to any of that yet, but you know, just sayin ;)


*less then ten years old at the time... somewhere around primary school time.

Wait, really? Wow, that's horrible! Children can be so mean sometimes. I can't say I was ever put on any lists, but I got a lot of crap for how I looked back in middle/high school.

oh its cool. Children making lists aren't really as bad as children throwing stones at birds or something. I'm sure I didn't do that but I probably did a lot of unacceptable things as a child. my poor mum. :P

Use to climb trees, roofs etc and break quite a few bones. And my mum had to take me to a&e. oh god, that must have been horrible... :P
