Bandai kept trying to charge far, FAR too much for its anime, it's not too surprising that they've given up. One or two episode discs, crazy prices... yeah, no. $30 or $40 for a season is plenty much, no way would I, or most people, pay more than that.


That's for sure, if they actually expect that strategy to get them anywhere in the West... :lol

Six sales to crazy fans is better than more sales at an actually sane price? Um... if you say so. As I said though, the problem was Bandai's pricing (and episodes-per-disc) model to begin with.


That's great for current stuff, but yeah, I also would expect many shows to not stay available there once they've aired...



No One Piece? I don't know, I haven't watched censored Escaflowne, but from everything I've read about it it's got to be one of the worst translations ever. Minimal Hitomi, none of the exceptional musical score, completely redone plot... I don't want to watch that thing.

I gotta say, despite how slow it moves at times, Tutu never ceases to entertain. It's been hinted at before, but there's very obvious Machiavellian forces at work (DROSSELMEYEEEER). Even Kraehe herself doesn't seem evil; she's just far too deluded by her illusions of what love is.

This cartoon has become a completely different thing than what I was expecting. It feels very little like an anime and a lot like an actual play/ballet piece. Plus, it is beautifully made (when CGI is not at work). Marvelous.

Who cares about Saimoe anyways? It's a terrible ranking system, just looking at the finalists paints a grim picture of the sad sordid state of affairs there. Lets put this in perspective, somewhere some car manufacturer has won an award for worst car of 2012, that's kinda what this Saimoe is like, an award for being the worst. Of course that's not what people are voting on, they're voting for the best of this moe, whatever the fuck that is, but the real problem is look at the votes, look at the total tally, not even three thousand people voted in the final round. Saimoe isn't some big indicator of anything other than what 3 thousand people like, a sad group of three thousand that somehow also managed to see Nagi Sanzenin, Koromo Amae and Nodoka Haramura to their semi-finals. This isn't a victory. If Azusa where a real character I'm sure she'd feel compelled to leave this "honor" off her resume.

Nah, just of a lazy man. Ritsue ended up still being the best character despite having the deck stacked against her though.

That seems to be what the show is. It feels to me like a 12 episode show being stretched out across two seasons, which is resulting in it moving at a snail's pace. I'll probably stick with it to see if it does pick up in the near future, but it's moving down in my queue by the episode.

Azusa is probably my least favorite. Although the cat ear parts are super hnnngh. I think ritsu is one of the cuter characters with the short haired tomboy persona.
