Yup. Eugene Chen was the translator, I was the editor (don't I get a soda? ;_;), and we both cracked out on that game. One of our finer adlib jobs. ^_^ (Did you like this or this? Some of my brain-fried fun on that game.)

Cool. Nice to meet you (sort of). Half-Minute Hero was one of my titles, but I'm not involved with the cert stuff.

Hey, if you guys need any puns ranging from subtle to painful, from appropriate to tasteless, you know who to call. I can do single word killers all the way to turns of phrase/idioms.

Also, if I wanted to license music from your games, who would I need to go to?


EDIT - Shanadeus left? Well, her picture, if it was real, looked like a kid I used to babysit, but all grown up.

EDIT 2 - Billychu: yes the one with the big open mouth. It just seemed really happy.

Nice. To be honest that was probably the best game that ever came through my department. Had a great time whenever I wasn't bogged down in cert horribleness. Translation work was hilarious, so if you had anything to do with that, kudos.

Yay. It's always nice to hear that people liked it. It was such a critical darling. Shame no one bought it. :/ But anyway, I'm the editor so that's half the battle (rewriting, jokes, etc). Was a funny game to begin with, but it did get our special XSEED polish. ^_-
 
i vote we keep the thread going. There is a lot of comradery in here that just doesn't exist outside of the thread. And its clearly an anything goes type thread that reads at the speed of a chatroom!

Hell, I feel weird when I post something in another thread then I see i'm surrounded by tars!(non-real-face-avatars)

Funny I played the demo on xbl and never thought i'd talk to the person responsible for its translation. maybe I'll buy it now...maybe.

Definitely let's keep it going as long as we can. Whenever I see RP peeps posting in other threads it's like recognizing a familiar face at a huge party. Feels good, man. Feels good.

I've had my eye on the XBLA version but... the d-pad. Maybe I'll get the PSP version when I buy a new PSP.

But this thread probably only remains so civil because we can see each other. I'd say we should make this an annual or biannual tradition.

I think the XBL one used our translation (now mind you, I'm the editor, not translator)(but that I means I work the text a lot), but the PSP version I've heard nails the feel of the game/timing better. I haven't played the XBL one, though, so I have no personal perspective on the matter.

I enjoyed everything, but the standouts include the after-mission epilogues and the Time Goddess herself. And yes you get soda as well.

That is the one being made by the guys who did Titan Quest, yeah? I was probably going to grab that anyway. Titan Quest was good stuff.
