hmm, maybe monthly real face themes shouldn't be costumes, so much as ways we see faces, like: IDs, wanted posters, holograms, targets, face scanner and other geeky stuff like that. How about an arts and crafts challenge where we have to make our face out of popsicle sticks or something.

Oh wow Syria, I hope you're in a safe area ;o I always wanted to travel there, my uncle won a trip to Syria and said he really enjoyed it :) (plus he brought back some tasty sweets~)

Yeah, thankfully I am in a low-activity area, but incidents seem to be getting closer daily, pretty scary times. And that's awesome, the first thing I did when I got here was actually stack up on sweets. There's this specific type (no clue what it's called) I die for, eat a whole box without even phasing lol.

This time next year I hope to be either back in the states or somewhere in europe, if all goes well. That is, if I make it to this time next year.

D; Stay safe please. A lot of the incidents in Yemen are in my family's hometown and it would kill me if something happened to one of them.

What made you decide to start living in Syria though? ;o I sorta had a phase where I wanted to stay in Yemen for a year, but only cause I want to be able to speak Arabic fluently ;x

My parents sorta speak it at home. I can understand some dialects, but mainly my parents' (Ta'izzi Arabic). The only thing is that I'll respond back in English :/
It's kinda funny cause when I was in Yemen my relatives assumed I don't understand Arabic at all, so sometimes they would talk about me while I'm in the room and then they get surprised if I respond to something they say haha.

Came here about a year or two now ago, before all this shit started. Basically, family. My arabic was decent but pretty broken, and obvious to anyone I speak to that i'm not a native.

But it's gotten better to the point where people can't tell i'm from america from how I speak, but they can still tell from what I say or how I say it, lol.

Haha, I was exactly like this when younger too. I could understand basically everything, but couldn't speak if my life depended on it.

I was fully decked out this morning going to work. The only thing that was cold were my eyelids. Everything else was toasty warm.

That being said, fuck driveways and the snow that fills them.
