So this dude approached me on twitter about an app he's developing and wanted to feature my music. :D No need to write original content either. I'm quite happy. Celebratory bro-fists all around!

That's pretty awesome, man! Brofist.

At least he approached you first. I put a riff up on soundcloud and this guy just straight up sampled it and told me it was going to be in his album and asked how I wanted to be credited.

I'm still gonna use the riff though.

The one my folks have is like this, except bigger.

I think we might have that one at our house too. Or a similar one.

but they make vastly superior popped corn.

and i think mine was only $70. though that is kind of much if you aren't a popcorn junkie.

I enjoy my brown paper-bag popcorn well enough to not spend the money right now. Now I have something to look forward too though.

*hopeful look*

I also had a eureka moment tonight while popping my popcorn. Normally the top half of my bowl of popcorn is all buttery and delicious but when I get to the bottom it gets a bit dry. But tonight I had a revelation, what if I put a pad of butter at the bottom of the bowl before popping the popcorn into it? Would the hot, freshly popped popcorn then melt the butter, and get a nice layer of butter on those bottom kernels?

Well let me just tell you, it worked like a charm. The bottom half of the bowl was even more buttery and delicious than the top half! Great success!

Wow, that's sort of bullshit. :P Still some recognition, I guess. Was it the one you created a thread about a little while back?

Man, today was awesome. There's really only one thing that could make it better, but I don't even care. Hopefully tomorrow keeps up the trend!

Watching Twin Peaks with some bourbon and soda on the side. Also look at this shit:

Thanks a lot, RealGAF.

You, sir, have taste. Sounds like such a nice combo. The popcorn thing is a little disturbing, though (the smell of popcorn makes me ill). Currently the ads on gaf are imploring me to switch to solar energy NOW!

This used to be me. Over the years it went away magically. Not a big fan of popcorn, but when I have some, I like to eat them with Mexican hot sauce. Valnetina.

About to go see Mission Impossible 4 with a friend. Kind of excited to see it since I've heard good things. Also I love the director's animated work.

Listening to some music.

Anything good? I'm told my taste in music is crap, and I therefore feel I should make an effort to listen to new things.

Listening to audio books and editing video.

I love throwing on an audiobook when I'm cooking, cleaning, drawing, etc. Very relaxing. What are you listening to?

So in a few years my stomach won't turn? It's hard for me to go to the movies it's so bad. Sriracha does make everything better, though...

Surprisingly enough, yeah. I guess it sort of came full circle.

I mostly just told him to put my first and last name in the album credits and that I was still planning on using the song.

Not sure if I want to see it. Let me know if it's any good.

Working on a song. I am not very good at singing sometimes and I'm having trouble working on it.

You're a musician (or a composer?), then? How cool. My singing won't make babies cry, but I have to work at it a lot.

Trying to be productive and finish a painting.

Neogaf makes that hard, huh? :) You should do like ShockingAlberto and pop in an audio book.

Google ads wants me to date Christian singles...

How does that make you feel? Neogaf's interest in your love life, I mean. :P

The Psychology of Music by Diana Deutsch.

I think this can apply to game design. One of the things I think is fascinating is how, in Super Mario Bros., the music in World 1-1 is designed to help you figure out what you're supposed to do. Kondo made it so jump on the high note, land on the down note, and catch the mushroom on the flourish. This is both an act that makes the player happy because the visual, aural, and tactile senses have all just worked together to achieve a goal, but it teaches people who have never played a video game how to play without them ever realizing it.

I'm trying to figure out a way if that's possible in today's game design. If those sweeping John Williams-like scores can actually be used to lead the player. So this book is helping me understand music theory as it pertains to what music makes people feel.

What do you listen to now?

Not bad. I also love the fact that you use young Bulma because everyone knows Dragon Ball is clearly superior to Z.

Informative podcasts and video game music... I throw the radio on sometimes, but it's a mixed bag for me. By bad taste, I guess I should say, no taste. I only have CDs of music that other people thought I should hear.

Ah that reminds me that I love making mixtapes. Well did you like any of the stuff people gave you? I think music is one of those things that some people are just content with not knowing anything about. My grandfather just doesn't like music. He said he hasn't listened to anything since about the 40's or 50's. Maybe you're one of those people.

I like your train of thought on this. There have been games with amazing music, but I can't think of one off the top of my head that solely relies on music/sound to guide the player in any more than a superficial way. I think I'd like to play a game you created.

I think it's probably due to me posting in mostly religion threads and relationship threads. haha.

But I don't like it because A) I'm not religious and B) I don't like being reminded that I'm single.
Keep doing your youtube experiment! The sooner you deal with your anxiety the sooner you can start sexing up those Christians.
