Apparently vocalists used to often use affectations when recording standards so that their version would stand alone, you can really tell that he's giving it a serious blast. Some vocalists would do it for flavour too, it's why I Don't Want to Set the World On Fire sounds so weird and awesome.
 
I was expecting to wake up and spend the whole morning catching up with this thread and expecting it to be well past 100 pages (100PPP) but mercifully it's not.

Consider yourself luck that you weren't sucked in to the endless cyclone of posting patterns in this thread. It's been getting 'better' (i.e. less hectic) though.

Anyway, i'm off to bed too, despite the sun being in my face. Watch some good ol' Office and laugh my troubles away for another day.

Its hard to top, match, or even come close to such a distinctive sound as rh/yorke. But I must say, Weezer did a very good job as well as giving it their own Weezer flavor. I'd like to see the rest of the instruments stray a little further away from doing a carbon copy, but maybe next time.

Karaoke talk?

I spent two years in Korea; that shit is crazy popular over there, except it's called norae-bang (singing room). Walk down a downtown street, and you see them everywhere.

Every group gets a private room, which basically looks like this:

Couches, mics, a screen and a big book of songs with codes for each song. Most of them sell alcohol, and if not, it's the easiest thing in the world to smuggle it in.

Many a good time was had in these rooms.

Obviously Bohemian Rhapsody must be sung every time. My friend and I used to do a mean Forgot About Dre.

Maybe next week we could have a different theme for our pics for each day? Mad Monday (everyone looking annoyed or crazy), Terrified Tuesday (everyone looking scared), Well-Spoken Wednesday (everyone tries to look posh, top hats and monocles, etc), and so on.
 
Just back from Drs, I have an infection in my chest. The worrying part was when she looked incredibly concerned and said "If you deteriorate dont hesitate to call me back".

I really hope I don't deteriorate. Fuck knows where i'll be heading.

I read through the last couple of pages, but I seem to be the only one who prefers people's original 'real avatar' - Kitsunebaby, H.Protagonist. Girls, boys, and everything in between.*

Others like the new version so I guess, this view is redundant... :P

I basically put up the first 2 of 3 pics I took. And then asked gaf to choose between 2. Both were least worst apparently, so I'm gonna switch over once during half-time. ;)


*I say that but Billychu's third pic - that's a combination of the first 2 is kinda hilarious... :P
And sentry's is pretty cool as well.
