Nothing hotter than a dominating team that won't be in your conference when you arrive.
No big deal. BEAST will be happy to take the technical credit. Look at UCF joining such a storied conference. BEAST BEAST BEAST!

But let's not let this get in the way of laughing at the ACC.

Edit: As for the UCF NCAA allegations, talon. We're just trying to be like one of the big boys. We'll get it right soon!

Gondo - you need to understand that the BEAST is just an incredibly strong conference from top to bottom.

That's why the vaunted West Virginia Mountaineers had two losses in conference. It's because it's just soooooooooooooooooooo hard to go undefeated or one loss in this challenging conference.

I'm really not sure you can say the same about the B12. West Virginia should win that conference going away next year.

Do you really want to give all the power to the rankings, arbitrary as they can be?

The automatic bids at least give a clear path on how to get into a BCS game based on wins and losses within your conference rather than on preseason rankings and the "eye test".

@TrentRollTideTrent Richardson
Gayran Mathieu use to be in the second mile program with Sandusky..L]

@TrentRollTideTrent Richardson
The West Va Hillbillies and the Clemson Kitty Cats are not playing defense...

hax?

20K followers and he's been trashing a lot of different people for a while. I looked at a few players that would know him but I don't see anyone that follows him so it might just be a fake account.

Kind of, yeah.

If automatic berths were removed and the 2 team limit was still enforced then the bowl games would have looked something like this:

MNC: LSU - Bama
Fiesta: Ok St - Stanford
Rose: Oregon - Wisc
Sugar: Boise St - Kansas St
Orange: Virginia Tech - Michigan

Not much different then what we ended up getting. There would probably be some incredible corruption in the final rankings though.

I would love to see a 16 team playoff that takes each conference champion and fills in the remaining slots with highest ranked remaining.

That would be the most fair situation.

NCAA Football playoffs would bring in boatloads of money as well. Imagine march madness x 10.

Less than zero chance Saban would let a kid get away with that. Fake.

Goldeneye - Damarcus Smith officially is at WKU..thats western kentucky, just thought you'd like to know. They will demolish UK next time they play, but that's not really an accomplishment

side note - WVU's coach looks like a serial killer/rapist

Top 6-8 conference champs by BCS ranking with a certain cutoff either 16 or 25 then the rest filled by the highest ranked teams by BCS until you get to 12 total teams. No limit on conference representatives.

Edit: DaMarcus at WKU? I heard that was a possibility. Good luck to him...

Clemson instead of VT. Clemson won the conference.

Holy crap, 70-33 was the final?

Fun fact. Big East is 7-7 in BCS Bowls.

Miami and West Virginia have 6 victories between them. The other BCS victory was Louisville over Wake Forest from the ACC.

Miami and West Virginia are no longer in the Big East.

Miami has certainly lit up the CFB world since being in the ACC. And well, WVU is going to be in litigation hell for awhile since it seems like they made some promises to the Big XII that were... a little overzealous. In the meantime BEAST BEAST BEAST!

If automatic berths didn't exist then Clemson wouldn't have made the BCS game because Virginia Tech and Michigan finished above them in the final BCS rankings. The conference championship wouldn't have mattered. Although the voters might have voted Clemson higher then VT to avoid this situation.

Arrnett to MSU.

The problem is march madness brings in money for the NCAA not the schools.

Edit: I read somewhere that Clemson gave up more TDs last night than Bama did all year? ACCulture.

Hey guys, so what happened last night? I stopped watching before halftime and was able to gain a level and get some good treasure hunting loot in the old republic before going to bed. I expect we came back and had a decisive victory over the hillbillies.

Who is that in your avatar?

No no, that's pedo rape. This is classic rape. And coke. And hookers.

I don't think Colorado got involved in hookers.

Rape. Date rape. Yeah. Hookers, no.

I am hearby disassociating Kevin Steele from ever having been associated with the Alabama football team.

At least he did a good job while he was here.

Steele needs to go but I really do think it starts with S&C. Our d-line has a ton of NFL talent and we were supposed to feast on a depleted WVU o-line, and we couldn't do anything. This has been a constant problem for us anytime we face lines are even a little physical. It's so annoying.

Sort of like how Clemson had no business in a BCS game?

Blame VT. No one asked them to let us blow them out in the ACCCG. You think I'm going to argue that we deserve to be there? WVU didn't deserve to be there either, but at least they had a better case than us.

Fun Fact Number 2.

The new Big East is 3-3 in BCS bowls.

2 Wins by Boise
1 Win by Louisville

2 loses by Cincinatti
1 lose by Uconn.

4 of the loses are in the ACC or heading to the ACC.

Wow stopped watching at halftime. Well, at least Dabo got his wish and everyone is talking about the Clemson defense after the game.

I last checked the score when there was like 12 minutes left in the 2nd. Looked before bed time and laughed my ass off. LOVE IT!

DIAF, Clemson.

I thought I would be excited for the MNCG as it approached (in spite of my still-firm conviction that OSU deserved their shot), but the opposite is true. I really don't give a shit about this game.

If LSU wins I'll be even more mad that we didn't get our shot. If Bama wins it proves nothing. Plus, the game is likely to be another boring slugfest and I don't want to see either coach win.

Bowl season ends with the Cotton Bowl for me.

Hey guys, so what happened last night?

Just the ACC doing what the ACC does in BCS games.

It'll be 3hrs+ of non-stop SEC cocksucking by the media. Followed by another signing day / offseason of non-stop SEC cocksucking by the media. :/
