Really?

Really?

He dramatically turned us around from 1-10 one year to 7-5 the next.

Then he kept us at about 7-5 for the next 1000 years.

At least Beamer generally gets double-digit wins to go with the frustrating losses.

You still have some Big 12 on you, wait 5 years, then you will start bitching about how you don't get respect because you just won the Orange Bowl.

However, we point out that you team was busted for a scandal over the summer, you call us haters.

Just hate that you don't allegedly rape as much as us?

What else did my stupid alma mater do?

Realized that alot of these numbers are inflated, with tons of split conference championships.

see: Arizona State getting a claim on the 2007 PAC championship. Tie Breaker goes to USC, because USC killed Arizona State.

Looks like a guy who doesn't have control or possession of the ball until the ground props the football to his chest.

You can pin the ball against your body and have possession. Clearly he has it pinned against his chest while catching. The ref also stated that he didn't maintain possession going out of bounds which was total bull shit.

The PI call on that interception was also bull shit. The Mich guy crossed his legs and couldn't jump for the ball while the CB had just as much a right to go up for the ball as he did. Don't give me that shit about his arm pushed him. BOTH players had hands on each other. Mich. guy got out played for the ball.

NCAA is pretty much a joke these days anyways. All they care about is making big TV contracts and making sure SEC teams get that title game. It's all about that mighty dollar. That is why you will never see a playoff or any smaller schools EVER win a title. the NCAA will do EVERYTHING in their power to make sure the top schools stay on top. This was Super Bowl 40 2.0. Tech being Seattle and Michigan being The Steelers.

Yea, I'm still butt hurt.

Pac-12 Football Championship Game

Note: All Washington home games will be played at CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Wash.

spacebar: Realize that the SEC (and the acc...) were on Board for a +1 game.

The Powers of the NCAA (Big 10/12, Big 12/10, and PAC Omega) wanted no part of it!

There's a Southern Utah???

Where do they play football in? A nuke crater?

Just got out of my first Comm 101 (yay taking intro GEC classes as a senior!). Class is 400 people 85% of which are freshman, Prof went to Indiana for grad school, then taught at Alabama for close to 20 years. Here's what he informed us today, he hates the National League, especially the reds, and loves Bama and SEC football, as well as soccer.

So in closing, this professor is everything I hate wrapped up in one.

Sat, 11/24: @ Oregon State
Fri, 11/30: PAC-12 championship

Kansas St(Bill Synder is back!) and New Mexico backed out of OOC games. Ducks will need to make a big impression in the PAC-12 because the OOC games won't do them any favors.

I just noticed the PAC-12 championship is 6 days after the last conference game. That kind of sucks if they go. Wonder if it's like that for all the teams.

The National League? That's rather specific. Hating the Reds? That I can understand, but the entire National League? Maybe he is a racist and hates that they forced integration onto the American League?

That's a pretty damn favorable schedule. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of crowds the Huskies draw at the Clink. Also glad we get Utah early enough before it should be too cold. Bummed that we won't get to play the Pirate King in his first year.

He's a Twins fan, so I guess since theyre the AL he hates the NL? IDK. We all know that the NL is the superior league in terms of the way baseball should be played.

I reject your predictions. You will lose to USC and Oregon, the eventual Pac 12 winners, and have to settle for the Orange Bowl. GAF does not recognize other predictions.

In other news: I have no idea what teams are even going to be in our conference next year.

The crowd will be fine. It's only one year. I'm kinda worried about @LSU week 2.

Well most people ive to talked todidnt really care about it either, just the idiotic ST plays instead.

I'm surprised how beastly our D front was, considering borges said he figured out our weakness. Anyways on to next year, Hosley's gone, and Whitley is only other senior starter. Hopefully Bruce Taylor makes it back from Lisfranc. Right now have 6 sophs. starting on D, expect all those guys to get better.

We are playing WVU in Austin next year, and TCU on thanksgiving

Well I know the Clink can be damn loud so there is that. I definitely think that is our toughest road game this year by far. I'm a little worried about Utah because we've never been there but not overly so. Arizona could be scary depending upon how quickly they respond to DickRod. Syracuse is sort of concerning because of the time zone difference.

Alot of forum chatter saying Michael Dyer has submitted paperwork to Arky State.

I don't understand why he would go there over either dropping a division and playing or staying at Auburn another year and going pro.

You know, I've been thinking about this too. In truth, the O-line really didn't give him OR the RBs any holes to run through. Our entire rushing attack netted what? Maybe 25 yards all game? At some point you realize that's a problem with the line; not the runners. I'll have to watch some of the running plays again, but it seemed the O-line just had no answer for VT's push. I wonder what the scoreboard would have looked like if our running attack was even HALF of what we're used to seeing. I can't think of too many times they were clearly dominated this year.

But yes, times like that are why the backup (I forget his name) is so important to the future. He's a pocket passer that can run, rather than a runner who can occasionally pass. In last nights game, the difference would have been that VT would have had to respect the pass...and even if the o-line struggled, we wouldn't hold our breath every time the QB rears back to throw. I hear that new 5-star recruit coming in in a year or 2 is going to bring the noise, though. Good times lay ahead.
Michigan only had 56 yards rushing total. However, most rushing plays went for only a yard or two. I'm far too filled with nervous energy during the game to notice, but I wonder whether Molk's injury is to blame for most of this. Or perhaps the entire offensive line was an equal offender. The one play I remember most vividly is when a defender easily beat Schofield around the edge and then forced him directly into Robinson's path. Borges also didn't place the offense in a great position to win.

Devin Gardner is the current backup. However, he didn't do anything this season that would presage great future success. At this point he is all potential. I don't know enough about Morris to comment.
Based upon that single picture, I would be inclined to say that it was a catch. However, the question is whether it fits the elusive quality of "maintaining control" as it hits the ground, and I don't know enough about the rules to comment on that.

Since he didn't have a hand under the ball, it would have not touch the ground, aka no sudden movement. If you look at the video, the ball popped a good 6 inches as it would hit the ground. That's an incompletion.

Optimistically 9-3, all depends on how the new D works out.

I LOLed too.

"Interesting" in that it's crazy-talk from crazy people.

Yeah, in that microsecond, it looked like a catch. But considering the fact that the receiver made no "football move" in that microsecond to illustrate possession, nor was he able to get his hands under the ball in that microsecond to prevent it from later bouncing six inches off the turf as he skidded out of bounds, it's no catch.

My only memories of Gardner this season are a great TD pass in the Illinois, and a complete derp play against MSU where he ran five yards past the line of scrimmage before passing. He could be solid or he could suck.
