One guy claimed he lost my copy of Smash Brothers for N64 when I lent it to him. I figured he was lying, but part of me wanted to believe him. :|
Bruital that was such a good game too. I Think I lost Ninja Gaiden for the NES.
Man, I've still got some Spectrum games I borrowed off a friend back in 1990...
haha.

Dammit I always hated the kids that never gave back the games I lent them. Life long grudge right there.

For sure. She was a spoiled brat of a kid. Single child and a girl so of course her parents bought her everything...except The Legend of Zelda.

Ah thank you. You've done all my creeping work for me.

I may share this information with Devo.

Well, the information is 20 years out of date so you may want to put a disclaimer in my file.

I was born in San Diego, but I lay no claim to it. There is no home. :P

I cant really claim Rio either... its simply where I was born. My father was Navy and we moved when I was 18 months old, so I know nothing of the place. I have lived a lot of fascinating places though... complete polar opposite to where I live now which is static and boring.

On the topic of unreturned games: When I was younger I let my friend borrow my NES (it was originally my brother's, and then he gave it to me) and a bunch of games, and he just happened to burn his house down a short time later, taking a large chunk of my childhood with it. Then my brother took all the games I had left.

I was born in Salinas, CA. It's the most interesting place on the planet!

Fortunately we moved to Kailua Beach, Oahu before my sixth birthday. My house was a five minute walk from this:

Those were the days.

Mine was Navy. As a kid I spent more of my life abroad then in the US. I also feel the same as you in the bolded part.

Such a beautiful city though.

We moved six months after I was born, so I have no recollection. Haven't been back since, either.

I lent a friend Soul Blade once in middle school and he returned the game with the disc scratched to hell, the jewel case cracked, and the instruction booklet missing.

Since then, I stopped letting people borrow my games.

I really miss seeing kids play outdoors. Sometimes i go to my sisters neighborhood and see a few and it makes me feel good.

As a kid I was either in my backyard impaling rollie pollies or running around the neighborhood with the older kids causing havoc.

Saddens me to see so many kids addicted to the internet and videogames and being indoors all day. that's for old bitter people like me!

oh and I was born in a great hospital but lived in south central and watts a lot of my youth. Didn't get out of the gang infested areas till my late teens.

@ H-Pro Why haven't you gone back. It's not very far at all. Downtown is really cool to hang out at for a day.

I can't find pictures of the place I crashed at in Paris for a few weeks, but it was in a seedy part of Montmartre.

So somewhere in here

It was near a place called the Sexodrome.

There was one instance where I brought a Game Boy Pocket with Pokemon in it to school and put it in my locker so i could play after school while I waited for my parents. It got stolen, so I freaked out. Then a week later, some guys I knew showed up and told me they found the guy who took it and gave it back to me.

At the time, I suspected that they just felt bad that they took it from me, but I was very grateful all the same.

My birth town is boring and I don't remember well. I'll posts some pictures of my favorite city to live in after lunch though!

Kids stealing your games: I had a friend's brother borrow A Link to the Past and then he claimed he returned it when he never did :< He was older so I couldn't do anything about it. Ironically an ex-boyfriend many years later tried to make off with my second copy >> I was not amused.

I was an asshole kid. A small video rental place started renting Nintendo carts a long time ago. I found a security socket that would release the star screws on the back of the cases. I would rent a game, open it up, switch out the boards with a game I didn't want and then return it, saying it didn't work.

I remember going to my neighbor's house to play Prince of Persia on his Atari.

I also borrowed his Final Fantasy Legend II for GameBoy and ended up keeping it.

Why wouldn't you just switch the stickers on the cart

Just lived mostly on the East Coast and Southwest in the states for the rest of it and have been country-hopping ever since. This is the first time I've been back to California since I was born (I think). Having no car is sort of a deterrent from visiting now, I guess. I also don't feel any real connection with the place, so I have no desire to go there.
