"Calculations based on 1.75GB – 3.5GB average for full PS Vita games"

8-16 games? So 16GB is 4-8 games, on average?

Eurgh. Might bite on 32GB instead of 16.

Edit: Got the 32GB. Needs release day delivery now. Will suck to have Wipeout + Vita but not be able to play it!

Yeah that option was missing at checkout. Hopefully ii gets added, so we can change the ship speed.

I ended getting:

PlayStation Vita - WiFi
Hot Shots Golf
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (might get dropped before release)
32GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card

Grand Total:$520.20

I went ahead and put overnight (Prime 3.99) just in case. Wonder if affects your order status if you change anything on it, I would assume they go by the order date when fulfilling though. I have 2 games, 32GB, and Vita Wifi preorder all on different orders lol. Just need a case now, get 4 boxes !

Finally Amazon activates the 32GB. I ordered pretty early as far as I can tell (maybe 15-30 mins after the page went live). I used prime 2 day shipping and my delivery estimate is the 21st..... but on the product page it says it comes out on the 15th. A little worrying... perhaps the 15th date is wrong?

It sounds like you're worried about them running out of stock of the 32 GB card and I think that's unfounded.

Orders can take 1-2 days to reflect a date change, so hopefully the change occurs automatically by the weekend.

I have been burned by amazon, modifying a shipment date/billing info a week before a product shipped.

Same thing happens with the First Edition bundle. Two-day gives an estimate of the 21st, which defeats the purpose. Overnight gives the 17th, which is obviously two days after launch, not overnight.

Lumines has been confirmed as launch day game in EU. Do we know its western price?
It's hard to guess considering Vita game price range both in retail and its PSN discounted prices.
I was considering to get Wipeout + Ridge Racer at launch, but if RR price isn't reduced or if the EU version doesn't get all the DLC included, I'll wait for a price cut and instead will get Lumines at launch if its price is ok.

My 3G/First edition bundle says released on the 15th but my delivery date is the 17th and I chose 1 day shipping. Hope they change to release day delivery or at least the 16th as half of the "early" release is gone right there.

F yeah! Amazon updated.

I have:
16gb
Wifi vita
Uncha
Wipeout
Shinobido
Ninja gaiden
Ridge racer
Army corpse of hell

I think I need to cancel some. I really want lumines too.
Cancel RR.

Get a 32GB for the same price.

99 dollars for 32 GB??
Someone please help me justify this purchase. Can I get essential and most stuff out of VITA with 4 GB or do I really need 32 GB for all the updates and DLC and such?

Seriously I bought a Haier 4.0 Cubic Refrigerator from Amazon for 140 and they refunded me 40 dollars back due to some scratches inside the door lining. A damn memory card this small I can probably lose or break so easily is same price as a 70 LBS refrigerator that's supposed to last me at least 5 years...Decisions decisions.....

Do you have a ton of PS1/PSP games to play digitally? Games will range from MB to GB. Just don't buy games digitally and 4gb will be fine. Or get another 4/8gb to play stuff on digital.

I don't do DD, and when I do, I
drink dos equis
would just delete and redownload. Do you think that's a bad idea? I mean I'd much rather have another game.

If the price of the 32gb is an issue. Get a smaller card, and backup your games on the pc (assuming it works the same way as PSP)... No need to re-download.

How come 8GB is not available? That's what I want...

Edit: Nevermind, I see...weird, it wasn't available earlier

if you mainly just plan to buy games on cards, then 4GB would be fine for saves/DLC.

I'll probably stick with mostly retail games, but put some heavily rotation games or multiplayer games as download (thinking golf and wipeout initially).

Don't like this idea that games get deleted from the PS3 when you install them. That'd make fridge maintenance a PITA with redownloading all the time. Any way around that?

probably best to backup games on either your PC or PS3. at least I've never downloaded a game directly on my PSP and that's how I do it.

I still don't know if I want to go retail or DD. Thinking long term, it could go either way. Servers could give it, games could be taken off PSN, etc. Or there might be more incentive for DD games (playing on the PS4 or PSP3 or something). I don't know. I kinda wish it had the Steam model where I could buy the retail and still get the downloadable, but that will never happen.

If that rumored price break for buying games digitally is true, I might go that route.

Ughhhhhh.

such a disparity between it and like, the majority of other Vita launch games.
They probably priced it at $50 because they know this is the game most people want to buy at lauch. I'm sure that most people who want a Vita would buy it regardless if it is $40 or $50. It also seems to be the Vita game with the highest production value so far, so maybe that is a factor for the $50 as well, but i dont know.

So what version is everyone buying, 3G or wifi? I want to just get the wifi version but I feel like I should just pay the extra $50 for 3g in case some magical game comes out in the future that takes full advantage of it but I don't know.

What do!

3G for me ! Curious to see if any PS Suite title takes advantage of 3G since they can run on cellphones too.

3G just to have that extra useless feature i won't use unless they add later on that it's free for PSN+

Got a wifi model pre-ordered in store along with Uncharted, ordered Katamari and a 16gb memory card off of Amazon. So hyped.

As of now signs point to Lumines being 39.99.

3G here. Near seems pretty cool, so I want the option to have a full featured Vita in order to use.

My gut says to go for 3G just for the GPS, but I'm really having a hard time justifying getting it when I doubt most games will even use it. Unless they put out some navigation app or something that would be very useful.

I'm planning on getting the WiFi version. I don't think I'll regret it. Most of my handheld gaming is done at my apartment or my parent's house.

Will Hot Shots Golf and UMC be on PSN day one?

I may cancel those and get the DD version. Due to the pick up and play style of those games.
