NFL 2011 Wild Card |OT| Where Everyone Is In Like Flynn

Quinn plays the first 59 mins, tebow closes the game out. And so it is that we see the birth of the first nfl closer

Not even Tim Tebow could come back being down 28 points with a minute to go.

Gotta say this Brady Quinn talk is hilarious. Elway will have so much egg on his face if Tebow manages to win this game. The Quinn talk would be turned into Tebow overcoming all the odds, including Elway and the head coach having no confidence in him, and that'd be that.

I don't think there's a chance in hell Quinn plays.

Tomorrow I will not give a fuck about work. Once 4:00 o'clock hits, I'm clocking out and watching the game, Texans gear and all! WE MUST UNITE FOR THIS GLORIOUS OCCASION!

shitty! how much is redzone? Do you still get NFLN?

HAve no idea how much redzone costs. Yes and no. You cant stream the network without paying but you basically get segments from their daily shows, game highlights, etc.. for free with the app.

Verizon also had a free download of Madden 12 for a weekend this past year. $8 savings is $8

I've had RedZone through my cable provider with no issue for the last 2 years. Some friends that have lived here longer with the same provider had it longer.....but suddenly the cable company turned it off for us before week 15 games.

I emailed them and they said it was a mistake for the past few years. That we wouldn't be billed for the time we had it, but that we'd have to pay for an "extra package" in order to get it back. So I haven't had RedZone for the last 3 weeks after having it for over 2 years. It's like going into withdrawals on game day.

I would say they are calling offense pass interference more. The defences are all so more complex then Marinos days. Howmany teams ran 3-4 . How many team back then blitz the house.
I guess the Bills and Giants never existed.

Our modern expectation of one gap 4-3 defenses come from Jerry Johnson's old Miami teams and then the Tampa 2 of Dungy and co. But there are 3-4s that function as 4-3s based on where you align and so on.

Marino played basically half his career in the 3-4 era and the later half in the 4-3 era, if you want to simplify entire decades like that.

Yeah that sucks. I basically paid 300 bucks to have RedZone on my PS3 I was so addicted.

Hello friends,

For some reason I've become intrigued about placing a wager on one of the weekend games--never done it before. But of course I want to do it in a completely legal way (I'm a U.S. Senator for fuck's sake!).

So what the hell are the rules in the US for these offshore online places? Clearly OK? Grey area? Or stay the hell away?

And is this a bannable discussion on GAF? If so, I'll shut the hell up.

Also, just saw that Brady Quinn is taking half the first team snaps at practice. Delicious.

It's been proven false that Quinn has taken additional first team snaps. We are not going to see Quinn play, even to the point of Tebow totally shitting the bed. Even with it being a playoff game, it is still an evaluation game.

Yea. He wouldn't even tell me what the cost of the package was in the email. Said I had to call in.

Regardless, it's probably not a huge cost since its like 8 channels. But the package is odd in that the channels have absolutely nothing to do with each other. They're not sport related or anything. Just a tiny clump of channels.

Will probably get it back next season, but since I didn't find out until before week 16 it didn't seem worth it. Will be one of those things I have to call to sub and then desub when season is over.

I dont know, he looked pretty jabba there.

Question for fellow Steeler fans:

Is Clark straight up not traveling to Denver, or will he at least be there in the city, possibly on the sidelines? I'm ignorant to how his sickle cell symptoms work there: is it a respiration thing under duress or straight-up an altitude affecting his resting heart rate and breathing? I'd like him to be able to coach Mundy there, but I assume he's not going to be there.

He'll be there.

He'll only be affected under exertion. If he had the full blown disease he's have a problem, but with just the trait as long as he doesn't play he'll be fine.

It's 6:50 on a Friday night, and I'm still working on a deliverable for a client.

I made a huge mistake at some point.

it's 4:48 on a friday and i'm beating off to 2011 niners team highlights, just as i have done every friday this year and just as i will do every friday this year

I think the Browns are more likely to take Tannehill or this Osweiler fellow than RG3 judging by the Holmgren&Heckert press conference yesterday,

It's the silly season. Believe nothing any team says about anything regarding the draft or free agency or coaching hires. It's all posturing for leverage.

Not saying they want RG3, just that any public comments they make can't be taken at face value

A fucking Jets fan is bitching about Robert Kraft? Fuck that noise. Without Kraft there is no 2011-12 NFL season. Fucking Jets fans. smh

The 2004 Patriots mauled Colts receivers and got away with it to the point that they 'changed' the rules the next season. Blame it on that, not the Brady rule.

jim nantz, is that you?

The New England Patriots have received permission to speak St. Louis' Josh McDaniels about their pending offensive coordinator opening and will speak with him this weekend, a team source told NFL Network's Albert Breer Friday.

McDaniels, one season into his run as the Rams offensive coordinator, asked St. Louis for his freedom in the wake of head coach Steve Spagnuolo's firing, opening the door to a return with the Patriots, per NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. McDaniels served as a Patriots assistant from 2001 to 2008.

New England's current offensive coordinator, Bill O'Brien, spent all day Thursday at State College interviewing with Penn State and, according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, is fully expected to reach a deal this weekend to become their next head coach.

O'Brien was scheduled to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend for their head-coaching job, but that has since canceled that meeting.

Other suitors are expected for McDaniels' services, just 13 months after he was fired as head coach of the Denver Broncos after fielding an 11-17 record.

so I've been watching NFL Network and ESPN for most of the day....and it seems every time Giants vs Falcons was brought up....they all feel the Giants have a more dangerous offense.

granted I haven't watched every Falcons or Giants game this year....but from the few games I've watched, Atlanta seems to have the more dangerous personal.......so it was surprising to me how everyone on T.V. felt differently.

Eli would be the deciding factor for me at this point.

it's ESPN.
Giants have the bigger market.

Love that picture. It's him leaving Dove Valley.

Looks like he will skamper back to Papa B.

Brandon Lloyd said that he wants to follow McD wherever he goes. Wouldn't might having him in a Pats uniform, I guess. Bringing back McD does clash with my ingenious plan of bringing in Todd Hailey as a WR coach to help develop Blackmon, but ok.

Everyone on TV says he's such a smart guy, and that initial run in Denver he sure looked it, but since then it's been bad.

In his defense I'm not sure what could have been done with the Rams this year, but he definitely did a poor job in adapting to his personnel. In retrospect, I think he was trying to prove how clever he was, when what he needed to do was treat each possession as a chance to kill clock. Get a first down, that's another 1:30, and a successful drive

Eli >>> Ryan, thus the Giants are more dangerous. Nicks and Cruz aren't slouches either.

yeah, but I thought the former players would at least speak for themselves...but no, some just mention Cruz and how Ballard should open up the field.

but no mention of Julio Jones, R. White, Gonzalez, Turner (who I think will be more effective than the Giants RBs)...
