You know who else clearly doesn't think Matt Ryan is elite? The Falcons coaching staff.

How many third down have they taken the ball out of this hands or made him sneak? Guy is flat garbage and Smith knows it.

Because making it 10-5 doesn't help you nearly as much as the should-be easy conversion and the chance to tie the game up. In general it's easier to convert a 4th and inches than a FG of that range but the Falcons suck. Especially when you give up a touchdown right after.

It keeps it a one-possession game if the Giants are to kick a FG on one of their ensuing drives. And judging by past outcomes (and obviously Nicks proved otherwise), the Giants weren't about to become offensive juggernauts in the game.

Past history showed the Falcons were getting dominated up front, and a FG at that spot was very high percentage.

The right call was to kick the FG, and I would have said so even if they converted the fourth.

Sad. You've got to let ryan throw there. Online is clearly outmatched. Running on that down is essentially quitting on he team

this is a hilariously wrong post.

"Cleveland traded this pick to Atlanta for Atlanta's first (27th overall, which later became #26), second (59th) and fourth-rounder (124th) and also Atlanta's first- and fourth-round selections in 2012."

It was a 2nd not a 3rd last year.

You don't win games against good offenses by kicking field goals.

You also don't win by pussying out and kicking field goals on fourth and inches. Seriously if you can't get less than a yard on one play in the NFL you don't deserve to win.

It was the right call and the wrong play call as darkside said.

so good

“I’m gratified somebody noticed,” Phillips told John McLain of the Houston Chronicle. “I don’t want to leave Houston, but I want to be a head coach. ”We’ll talk and see how much interest [the Bucs] have in me.”

Translation: I want to leave Houston.

i hate to say i told you so but i told you so

The Falcons have like 2 wins vs good teams since week 9 and the giants have 4 or 5 i forget. The Falcons were a fraud team that played a cupcake schedule. I knew the giants would win this with ease and been sayin it all week and tada, this shit is done folks.

Your post is as vacuous as I suspect your head is.

well I was wrong....

Giants Offensive Personnel > Falcons Offensive Personnel

or is it Giants' OC >>>>> Falcons' OC?

hopefully the Giants take care of business next week as well.

would love for a good o'l Championship Title game to be at Candlestick again.

Welp, this game is boring, bring on the Tebows/Steelers game. I'm really hoping the Tebows pull the upset, all our steelers fans would be so devastated to be beaten by Tebow.

Yeah, Wade is probably gone.

Wade has been amazing here, but the main thing is that Kubiak finally hired a competent and experienced defensive coordinator. I imagine this job will be attractive to lots with the defensive personnel the Texans have.

Matt Ryan is just an average and generic QB. The sooner Atlanta realizes that he's not the answer and decides to move on the quicker the team becomes a real contender.

Good Commentating by Joe Buck

Bradshaw falls forward on that run play

Buck: "Falling Backwards, err... I mean Backpedaling"

No Joe he fell forward, backwards would be a negative
