Oh wait my bad, I get it. If his stats are good, theyre empty stats and dont matter. If he plays well, leads his team, runs the floor and is directly responsible for almost beating title contenders but his numbers arent like Steve Nash, then he sucks and needs to die in a gutter.

My bad.

People also forget to mention he shot 5-13 from the field. If you really think this kid's god a chance against Rose, CP3, or Rondo, then so be it.

how are rickys chances for ROTY?

Well most likely its going to come down to Rubio and Kyrie, first look at their $T@T$, then look at their teams record. Cavaliers are 4-3, Timberwolves will be 4-5. Also take into account their ages, Kyrie is 19, rubio is 22.

Yes, because shooting percentages across the league are on all time highs right now.

Leave the kid alone. He is running the point better than majority of the starters in the league right now. This season.

lol

Hes been playing against 30 year olds in Europe since he was 14, those leagues are way, WAY more physical than the NBA. In Europe you get hacked and elbowed like crazy.

At 14 it didnt drain him in the slightest, as a matter of fact he thrived in that environment. In the NBA where hes actually going to get protected by the change of rules that imaginary situation where hes gonna get manhandled in the post (by whom btw? How many PG's play the post?) is just not gonna happen to the degree you describe, not even close.

Keep going with your delusional, hate filled parade though, its entertaining.
Not sure if this is obedient trolling, or you taking tips from DY (can't be!). You're acting like Rubio the Horrible went through two fucking terms in Iraq. He's played a clear amount of min. over in Scotland or wherever that eurotrash played. His passing abilities are greatly overrated. Never averaged over 10 asts. (Chris Paul's rookie season in the NBA averaged 8 ast. 2 steals and 17 points.) Especially being the nature of the defense over in that shithole of the world. Alonzo fucking Gee went to Poland and dominated. That says so much.

Like who, Westbrook? Been there, done that. Gimme names.
Rondo, Kirk Hinrich, Teague. Can't wait to see Derrick Rose eat up Rubio the Horrible. Rose will pick him apart like I do with my chicken rollatini.

I refuse until I see him in the starting lineup, and his team winning.

Yeah because Orlando has so many trade pieces to entice New Jersey with.
I don't know either. Unless they throw a combo of Ryan Anderson, JJ or Jameer into the mix, but I don't know if that's even enough. If they're talking about signing him as a free agent, then well... I don't know what.

Its not like his team has anything to show for it, so yes, I will look at stats. If his team actually showed they were benefiting from having him there, I would give him credit.

The most points the Wolves have lost a game by this season is 11. This includes playing 5 legitimate Playoff teams in their first 8 games. Compare that to last season and getting blown out in half of their first 8 games.

The team is most certainly better whenever Rubio is on the floor.

That's what I mean when I say Rubio the Horrible seems like he's benefiting from smoke and mirrors. Let's see if his ballet basketball stuff still works when he meets some resistance.

This league is missing a Gary Payton bulldog type of defender (for pg's). You you occasionally see some great defense from Paul or Brandon Jenning. Irving has a lot of promise. So glad Baron Davis wont be his mentor.

Wall FGM vs. TO count: 3 vs. 4

This is the fifth time this season that Wall has had as many or more turnovers than made field goals.

oh it makes sense now

you're john hollinger

Rubio's advanced stats have been awesome this year though.

He also has Kevin Love. He's a very versatile player that a lot of PG's dont have. I just want to see him in the starting lineup that's all. If he prospers, and his team wins some big games, even if it's only a couple of big wins, I will give this kid where credit is due. Until then, I shall go on through my tirade.

Kevin Love was there last year, they stunk.

Jdez, BEST-GAF wont be expecting the Aaron Craft in a few years.

Aaron Craft is basically a stronger, faster, defensive first, better passer version of Rubio. Played aganist far better competition in the Big 10/NCAA tournament. He just doesn't get media hyped up Laura Dern's ugly bumhole like the eurotrash has had for... oh I dunno, last 4 years.

I LOVE THAT KID. One of the smartest Pg's i've seen in awhile. I agree. Most of these "basketball fanatics" in here probably dont know who he is.

Some of the stuff you guys are saying is not racist, but holy shit its awfully close.

Im not even saying the kid should be an all-star. All Im saying is that he is a pretty good player. Yes of course Derrick Rose is going to dominate him, he dominates everyone in this league, duh. And yeah, hes not starting but hes played every minute of every 4th quarter, what would you say is more important, especially considering every single game has been close?

Oh wait nevermind that makes sense, please tell me how Spain is like Scotland or Poland again, that was great and not offensive at all.

Are you referring to the words "eurotrash" as being racist?

Chicago Bulls and the T-wolves play tuesday, can we see rubio play his "good defense" on rose. LMAO this may be a joke. After game report ***Rubio out 8 months with broken ankles***

I love how the measuring stick for a PG to be "not trash" is whether or not he can defend the reigning MVP of the league.

Waiting to see how a rookie does against the MVP?

Really?

Well with all the hype behind the kid, yes it is the measuring stick. Also against rondo, and CP3. Not just rose.

The hype is because hes fun to watch, is willing to share the ball and people like playing with him. Thats fun. Plus, hes actually humble and a nice guy.

Nobody is saying hes the next anointed superstar or anything. Truth is, a lot of "experts" claimed he was going to be shit and not contribute and game after game theyre changing their mind, Wilbon being the latest

“I was dead wrong on Rubio… Dead Stupid Wrong. I love watching the kid play…he knows how to run a break like a veteran already."

Im not on the train just yet. Sorry.

Outside of internet forums no one really cares about Rubio. Talked about him to some of my friends who watch basketball and they had heard of him but thats it.

Watching him play is fun, that's all there really is to it. If he was in NY or LA he'd be getting so much hype.

Really?

can we please stop pretending hes a real rookie

its like calling yao ming a rookie when he came over

rubio was a professional basketball player for many years before coming to the nba,
