I'm just expecting the worst as I've been watching my two older brothers going gray and bald for a while now. :)

Happening in my family, too. My brother's going bald before he hits 30.

I think if it starts happening to me (and I hope it doesn't), I'll probably just overreact and shave it all off.

Or just leave white streaks and look like something from the Adam's Family.

Same here, will definitely shave all off. But if I'm just going grey, I'm ok with that. Then I just have to learn to speak like Sean Connery, only with a weird foreign accent.

Propecia, dudes. Doesn't work for every person, but if it works for you, you'll get at least another half decade of hair, maybe more.

Or just dye it all white and look like a sexy albino. Seriously don't understand the stigma of white or grey hair.

There is probably more stigma with women having grey hair than men. I don't think it matters all that much for men to be completely grey. I think there is more pressure on women to stay looking youthful.

Well, it's not just that they're white. They seem thicker and are all kinky/curly. It's so weird. I feel somewhat forced to pluck them because when I pull my hair back into a bun they all spring up and I have an uneven sprinkling of brilliantly white corkscrews standing straight up out of my head. ;_;

That would make Halloween super easy...

I have 4 older half-brothers and 1 younger half sister. I have a great relationship with all of them and even work with my sister (she got me my job :P). I have also worked with all of my brothers in the past doing different jobs. They aren't all as close to each other, as I am to them, but I love them all so much. I will be going up to Lake Tahoe next weekend to hang out with one of my brothers and his family for my birthday. It is awesome that he is a bartender and can comp me drinks all weekend, oh yes.

Oh, new face. Hi! After reading that now I'm really sad that I don't have more siblings. I'm totally jealous.

I have one older brother who is on GAF, and I recently (unwittingly) introduced my Dad, who is closing in on 60, to GAF.

He comes home from work asking if I've read such and such thread on the OT. I keep telling him he needs to get an account, but he's afraid he'd just get banned within weeks.

Yeah, my mom has the same issues with her white hairs. I don't personally find it unattractive, but I realize there's some age discrimination going on in the world. Personally I find a head full of white hair sexy, especially on dark skin. I always wanted to be Storm when I was a kid.

And then Halle Berry had to go and ruin it.

Haha. Well, during the age poll there was a 50+ guy on here. We have some good topics that could use an older opinion too. He should join, but it would be funny if he got banned. :P

And now I clicked it too. Thanks Alberto.

Yeah, seriously. Wish I hadn't too. -_-

I think there is a bit of a difference with storm in that she looks quite youthful to begin with? In that sense it looks more stylised than ageing.

To be honest I get enough of being trolled by my dad on Facebook and Twitter, if he ever finds out about GAF I hope he gets banned immediately.

I can always count on hearing a YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD joke from him at least several times a week.

I think I linked my brother to a Simpsons thread here once but I doubt he lurks.

He's more of a reddit person, anyway.

That Simpsons thread on GAF is one of my all time favorites. Jokes are being repeated over and over in there, but it's a real testament to the quality of the show that it's still hilarious. Golden Age Simpsons > any other TV comedy.

Some people do go grey really young actually. I mean like in their early 20s. I think it is more men that this happens to than women though.

That thread pushed me over the edge to get seasons 3 - 10 finally and just gorge myself on them.

I emerged several weeks later making Simpsons jokes for days.

The important thing to remember when reading that flashback thread is that it's more likely to be a troll thread than anything else. Once you get to the OP advocating children be breastfed for up to 4 years because it's so good for them and they only need to deal with a few Oedipal flashbacks as a result, it stops being quite so disturbing.

also whatever you do, do not click on any reddit threads linked within

Wait, I only read the OP and the first few posts. You're telling me it gets worse?
Better?

I've started treating Reddit links with the same level of caution I apply to Space Ghetto links, which says a lot about the internet really.

Both better and worse actually. I guess I just can't believe the OP was sincere once he gets to the point where he's saying "oh yeah sure, I start thinking about my mother's boobs when I'm with a woman but I'd still say breastfeed your kids as long as you like!"

everyone should go to reddit.com/r/spacedicks

because i've never been there and I have no idea what kind of horrors it contains

The most hilarious reddit is /r/mensrights.

It's the most delusional group of people in the world gathered together.

"The Men's Rights subreddit is a place for people who believe that men are currently being disadvantaged by society. Due to this belief, this subreddit has been earning scorn from bigoted feminists and white knights since 2008."

:lol

I understand being upset at stuff like men never getting child custody rights and stuff, but they seem insane.

Don't get me started on Men's Rights, worst movement ever. It's not like there aren't legitimate problems of discrimination which men face, particular with regard to mental-health diagnoses, but Men's Rights advocates do so much more harm than good because they fixate on attacking feminists rather than actually doing anything, you know, useful.

What can we say? Women are a nefarious lot. We display our wares and use our mental cunnings to cheat the stronger sex out of their rightful dominance of the species.

It's a bunch of people who feel disadvantaged, but choose to place blame on things and people that do not affect them negatively at all.
