I'm not 30 yet, but I sort of had a weird feeling about turning 28 as well (turned in August.) It was that sudden realization that I'm closer to 30 than 25. I'm not necessarily scared of becoming older, but people do tell me that things pretty much go downhill for women when they hit 30 while they become better for men. It's hard for me to tell what will happen...

I took a shower, drank some coffee, rolled around on the floor like a panda, listened to the Rocky IV training montage (Thanks, Duderz), walked 2 miles to the grocery store and hauled back 40lbs of goods like a pack mule. Still a bit groggy, but at least I can comfort myself with duck pate and jammy brie.

I turned 30 back in September. Not really an age worth freaking out about, to be honest. People will be cracking jokes the entire lead up to it, so prepare for that, but otherwise just plan yourself a big trip or something fresh to mark the occasion. It's not so terrible.

My mom also likes giving me all kinds of stuff. Especially baked goods, since she studied baking. Which is great, except even before I'm done finishing the pie she brought, next it's a whole pile of brownies. It doesn't help that I only eat these things in moderation. 31 today! It's mostly fine. I guess. We bought/moved into a house a month ago. Seemingly adult-like behaviour abounds; but we put a ping-pong table in the living room, so that helps. Will probably hang a print of this XKCD in the same room.
