huh? if you're going to say something, at least make sense.
Baltimore larry is high though, the only game this weekend that has a prayer at beating NE/DEN in ratings is Green Bay Giants.
southern redneck joke.

Well yeah they have no chance against Eli.
Defense wins championships guys lets not forget this.
Absolutely. I'm talking about the "total defense" stat, not arguing that the defense is good. They are mediocre at best.
Steelers Super Bowl bound!!
I heard Eli threw for 279 yards and 3 TDs. Aaron Rodgers might as well give up now because he can't possibly match that!
I see.
I use total yards because it's a pure stat, I feel it best depicts the performance of a defense without funky algorithms and colluded metrics, or the flukiness of turnovers. Simply put, yards leads to points.
On another note, has there ever been an offense that was dominant at the same time as its defense?
NFC West, dude. NFC West.He probably meant real defense wins Super Bowls, not softest-schedule-ever-pads-our-stats defense.

Last years Packers? The late 90's Packers were rated tops in both as well.
Patriots won the Super Bowl in 07?Patriots 03,04,07

Other than New Orleans, 49ers had the weakest schedule of all playoff teams.
offseason sucks, give me training camp already.

I like that you put the convicted steroid cheater's picture there to portray those teams. Well done.

what part of houston do you guys live in? I used to live in Nassau Bay in the late 80's.

So the Giants won't win then, yes?
I would say Dallas in 93 and SF in 95.

Maybe it's clouded judgment, but I never really associated the 49ers with dominant defenses.
Their defense showed up yesterday for sure.
I was thinking Dallas myself.

Shit. I forgot you can't read long words like convicted.
You mean packer team. They lost to Elway in the second one lets not forget that.
Yeah, but they were still dominant on both sides of the ball for those seasons, unless you think the 18-1 Patriots are all of a sudden a shitty team because they lost the last game of the year.
Bucs interviewing on the road. Not st head quarters end package could be Sherman has head coach Childress and Nolan at oc and dc.may be it

I feel lucky to be one of those Houstonians that own a TV.
Packers had a great team that year. It was a good hard fought SB, either team could have pulled it out. It makes me at least appreciate it that much more. Certainly wouldn't want to hang our hats on a win over a shitty team.Shit. I forgot you can't read long words like convicted.

How did Deion help the Niners D out playing for the Cowboys? With Deion in 95, they were.
north of memorial city mall here. Live less than a mile away from my job, which means i can horseback to work. I also feel lucky, I own two of them new fangled HD television sets.
I would say Dallas in 93 and SF in 95.
Joe Thomas, Jake Long, and at least a couple years ago, Ryan Clady. Those guys are probably the closest men to the level we had several years ago.More importantly, Brian Waters and Willie Roaf.
I can't believe that we at one point had Roaf, Jones, Orlando Pace, and Jonathan Ogden all playing tackle at the same time in this league. These are all time great tackles. I don't think we have any kind of tackles on their level in the game today.

I assume you mean in 94 for the Niners, because we didn't go to the Superbowl in 95.
How did Deion help the Niners D out playing for the Cowboys?
I was talking that 94/95 season (1995 Super Bowl).
I often screw that up, I believe it's normal to refer to it by the year the season started though?
Marty Schottenheimer is 68 years old and hasnt coached in the NFL since the Chargers fired him following the 2006 season, but that doesnt mean hes done.
ESPNs Chris Mortensen reports that Schottenheimer will interview with the Buccaneers for their head-coaching vacancy on Tuesday.
Clady is still real solid he just needs to learn not to hold and get stupid penalties.
