can someone avatar this for me please?

I want to be a mod for a day just so I can look at previous versions of things people post. Sometimes I'm in a thread and see a post change like four times over the one minute grace period, it would be fun to chart the thought-process evolution behind it. Like:

- Revision 1: I AM ANGRY
- Revision 2: I AM ANGRY BUT DON'T WANT TO BE BANNED
- Revision 3: I am now less angry and more concerned about being banned
- Revision 4: I am not angry at all and this post is entirely innocuous

That's not true for me!

I've been doing zombie photo manipulations for my speech class and have been trying to get them down to 5 minutes or less (the speech itself is 5 minutes, so the "less" is very important). Can I use some of your guys' real pic for practice and possible use in the speech? I'm going for speed here and if someones pic can get zombified in like 2 minutes that would be friggin' sweet. I can pm you the results if I can use the pic...I promise I won't try it w/o permission.

edit: it's for a how to speech so i'm trying to show a step by step in photoshop...it's proving to difficult to do it fast and still have a somewhat good result.

edit 2:

Yes, please!

Most of my edits are because my hands move faster than my brain so I'll often substitute words I'm hearing on the TV or things that sound similar

For example, where I wrote "substitute" up there, I originally wrote "submit".

Princess of Tenebrae... every time I see that word it reminds me of the Three Mothers films. Anyone else ever watch those? The most famous is Suspiria. The films are interesting because they combine absolutely stunning cinematography with pretty horrific violence.

Go nuts. I can even provide you with more zoomed out pictures if you want.

There only two of them.

Aww damn. My boss just left, one guy left earlier and the other IT guy in my department didn't come in today. I'm the only fool left in here. All work has officially stopped.

You should post it in here. I would love to see the results.

Looks like I won't be getting back to FF7 today. Something amazing has happened! I'm playing Fable III and actually enjoying it. This feels weird. It's one of those games where you actually need to engage with the world to get what they were trying to do with it, but because it always goes out of its way to never force you to engage you can miss a lot of things.

What does RP GAF think of Fable III? Steam GAF made their feelings very clear the other day, and those feelings were not very flattering.

I do that all the time but it's usually just leaving a word out because I've already moved on to the next one without noticing. My mate is always saying "did you just accidentally a whole word?" when we're chatting. You would think it would be annoying, but it still makes me giggle.

I sat down with my family today and floated the idea of finally making the move to somewhere like SoCal to look at localization, community manager, and tech journalism jobs.

They seemed to not be as weirded out by the idea as I thought. Though they seemed insistent I just not move out there on a whim and try to actually secure a job first.

It's fine for a little while.

Eventually it starts to get repetitive and then....well, I won't ruin it for you, but the game does something at the last leg that is why everyone says unflattering things about it.

In this economy? Not a bad idea.

I enjoyed Fable III *shrug*

edit: oh god the end of the game...it did kick the wind out of me

And, Lissar, skimmed back and saw that you applied. Good luck! It would be awesome if you landed it. I think you'd enjoy it more than your 'current' line of work. ;)

Thanks! It would be amazing just to get an interview, honestly. It's difficult doing even that these days.

What are you doing?

Nah, actually, I haven't played it so I can't really comment. I played the second one for 20 hours and liked it okay, though I didn't get very far in the main story quest. The most I've seen of the third game is a couple of video reviews which didn't make the same seem fun at all, but other than that I have no opinion.

I couldn't play Fable II because the camera blurs whenever you swing the camera around.

That, combined with the natural blurring my LCD does, lead to me getting really motion sick really fast.

Haven't played it but I loooved Fable II. A really fun game with a ton of charm. I don't normally do sequels so I missed 3 (didn't play the first), but if it's similar then I can imagine it being good.

The only game that ever made me motion sick was The Darkness.

Low rez PS3 version + all that motion blur is trouble.

I would rather go full on helicopter than have to wear tighty whiteys

Ok, so I'll be PMing helicopter pics to everyone in this thread by requests

Or will I?

The only game that's made me sick was Red Steel. The weird floaty controls combined with the blurry graphics didn't agree with me. Horrible game too.

I'm thinking the roof scene where he has on all that casual shit and the nice nikes
Hahaha, I see what you did there. Also you're a genius. I never thought of that! See you in the next comic book convention then. Certainly helps that I look like him!
Not really.

It looks really cool and makes for a badass avatar.
Thanks! I've already used it as an avatar and I already got bored of it. You've got me thinking on another picture though, especially with the zombie talk going around.

On Fable:
lolololol, terrible franchise.

I used to get motion sick with handheld games all the time.

Eventually I realized it was because I was playing them during car trips with the volume down and some people's bodies freak out when the noise and visuals of a situation don't match up. So just plugging in headphones so my body isn't going "Hey Mario OH GOD ARE WE MOVING IT FEELS LIKE WE'RE MOVING" worked.

Not really.

Hey we can't all look EXACTLY like who we are copying. I don't know what I want to do for the next comic convention...I think I will just be Adam Levine from Maroon 5 - see how many people we can trick. hint: 0

You have my permission. I <3 Zombies.

Aww your pic is very grainy so it's difficult to work with it. It can be done but not in the time allotted.

Like here are examples of ones i've already done

I took these the other day but I kinda wanna do it faster...cause what i want to do to get the audience interest in my intro is to take a pic of someone then and there then do their picture...that's the reason i wanna practice on various people.

Zombie couch too? So are you just applying a blanket filter?

Yeah. They look pretty cool.

I can't wait to see some gaffers done.

What's your favorite zombie-type, RP thread?

Slow and rotting, swollen-brain fast-running aggressors, shambling monsters that can pick up speed, tool-users, etc.?

I assume you guys mean
becoming the ruler of Albion and then having to bankrupt your kingdom or be evil? Or -- and I already suspected this would happen -- is something coming which makes all those decisions meaningless?

What are you doing?

This is weird but I'm finding that just cruising around and doing minor quests, buying real-estate and roaming the countryside with my dog digging ditches is rather pleasant. One thing about the Fable games I've always felt is that they appeal more to people who enjoy sim-games than RPGs, so I'm focusing a lot on those aspects, since the quests aren't super engaging.

That said, the quests do have a certain charm when they hit the right notes. I just had to break up a marriage by seducing the husband, and his sleazy dialogue was really entertaining.

Classic style all the way. They're meant to be basically helpless on their own, but able to overwhelm anyone in a group. The metaphor for consumerism doesn't work as well with fast zombies.

I have to say, as cheesy as it is on a gaming forum, but Left 4 Dead did Zombies right. Massive hordes that can overwhelm you in numbers mixed with bad ass zombie mutations all making you very fearful that you will not survive the night.
