Real Pic January!

At this point the creatures (formerly zombies) are just a template. The story is really about group dynamics, isolation, selfishness vs altruism, sacrifice, finding meaning and purpose even as death is certain, origins of morality, solipsism, and a bunch of other stuff.

This is why I feel Walking Dead has gone off the rails.

It's supposed to be character-driven with tension that anyone can die at any time. But all the characters are either perfect or awful and all the actors are too highly-paid to die.
 
Another problem with The Walking Dead is that the writers just aren't very good.

No one who thought up the idea of Glenn going down into the well to hook a zombie can call him/herself a good writer ever again.

There has to be a scene where a woman is just in panties. Perhaps she just got out of the shower. panties and a shirt. Lets say a zombie grabs hold of her and her shirt rips open. She starts screaming while her breasts are bouncing around ferociously.
 
My Nanowrimo novel became pretty much a zombie novel :/ That's why I sort of gave up... I liked the ideas in it in general, but I didn't want to be writing a zombie novel.

Did you notice the panties and screaming? Always the panties and screaming.

No great movie is complete without a woman in panties and screaming. You can quote me on that.

One of my roommates bought chocolate wine that ya'll were talking about earlier. It tasted like chocolate milk followed by rubbing alcohol. Then I looked at the bottle and saw that it cost 15c.

This happened to me once, too.

I was convinced it was just my hair on my face but then I felt it crawl down to my chin.

I was never more awake than I was in the next five seconds.

You know, it must be fucking crazy living in Australia sometimes. Could you imagine like sitting down watching the TV, all comfortable, and a funnel-web spider crawls over your foot?

Going a bit off topic for a bit (ha!), I have to vent.

I've already shared my thoughts on this Real Pic trend on the forums. More specifically this thread and the exposure it has on OT. Originally I thought this was good idea since it gave us all a reason to be less anonymous and a more tight knitted group. Now I feel like this whole has been blown way out of proportion and is having the opposite effect. It's fun to be able to recognize some of the gaffers here in other threads but it's so hard to hold a conversation in this thread that it's not memorable.

What peeves me the most though is how gaf can't behave themselves. I'm not just talking about creeper gaf, that's self-explanatory. It's the fucking try hards. Nothing annoys me more than some of the guys here whom are being so passive agressive when talking to girl gaf and even to some of the guys here. It's one thing to compliment a picture but it's another to bring it up when the picture isn't even relevant to the current conversation. Or calling attention to yourself by being crass in a girl gaf thread. Or how about this thread? Why does it even exist? It just reeks of desperation for attention.

It's not that I'm upset that people are flirting or are lurking at threads they don't belong. I'm guilty of these things myself. It'll even be cool if someone actually did ask someone out. I think it's just laughable when people aren't realizing that enough is enough.

Wasn't even a real pic gaffer. I'm not really sure what the big problem is. Sure, we had some creepers and trolls, but mostly people have been well behaved.

I'm not sure I have posted any different with my avatar on as I have with it off.

Glad I live in Belgium then. If I ever have to move as far as Australia, I'll just go to New Zealand, looks less dangerous :P

Didn't even take me 5 seconds, I ran out of my room screaming like a little girl... Thankfully nobody saw/heard me.
