Real Pic January!

Night person. I loathe waking up early. I'm going to be switching from a 2:00PM-2:00AM work schedule to a regular 9-5 next week, it'll be tricky.

Anyway, I can't wait until hat day! I have my picture all ready to go
It's a silly one.

Here's a question for you, RP-GAF: Are you a night person, or a morning person?

Personally, I'm 100% night person. My brain doesn't really switch on until at least 6pm. It was quite unfortunate for me in school, because no matter how much sleep I got I had a hard time paying attention (I did manage one or two night classes, fortunately.)

Sadly, even though I like the night, I actually prefer sunshine. Laying in the sun is one of my favorite things. I wish I was a morning person so I could experience more of it.

Easily a night person. I hate mornings. I hate waking up. Sometimes I can wake up early and be ready for the day but most of the time I take ages to get up and am grumpy until I've had breakfast.

Definitely a night person. Left to my own devices I will naturally wind up in a pretty late schedule (3-4 AM bedtime).

Sometimes I've even gone as late as 6am as my bedtime. It does feel so much more comfortable. What kind of reason could there be for this, evolution-wise? :< Nighttime watchdogs?

I am the morningest of morning people. Getting all cheery, whistling, smiling. It seems to piss my fiancée and son off to no end because I invariably wake them up via my cheeriness.

lol

Definitely a fucking night person. I literally feel like a zombie in the morning. I kind of walk around in a daze, half dreaming.

I'll be sitting in irc.synirc.net #RPGaf and not paying attention for the next 30 days if anyone wants to join.

I can picture you sitting in the dark with that screen open, rocking swinging very slowly, bourbon in hand... staring... waiting...

I see, well with real pictures in every post something like the PMs were bound to happen at one point or another along with sexual posts and whatnot. I'm glad the thread hasn't crashed and burned though since I thought the idea was interesting. Even better that there have been people here that had an easier time making friends. I'm sad that I missed the parts about suspenders, chocolate, life and scars though :(.

Damn it I missed Jenga too?!

The RP thread has been cyclical, if anything. Those topics will come back around, and the JENGA battle is slated for E3 this year. If you can make it, you're welcome to join. :)

I used to be a night person. I worked an early shift part time, and had a different job later in the day, and could afford simply to do the part time work on a sleep deficit.

Now that early job is my only one, and I'm doing 40+ hours a week. I get up at 5 or 5:30 am to get there by 6:30 or 7, depending on my shift for that day.

But since I am a night person all this means is I am tired all the time.

Now that I am in the habit of waking up early, even on days off my "sleeping in" is only to around 8, maybe 9.

I drink about 20oz coffee on bad days, then get severe migraines from lack of caffeine the day after. Also load up on B vitamins daily to try and have some energy.

I leave for two days and there is controversy now? Well with people complaining about whatever now I guess this threads days are numbered. Wonder what all I Sat/Sunday.

There was a guy I rode the bus to school with who was like this. Every morning (this was at 6am mind you) he would start up with a "Good moooooorning Lissar! How are you feeling on this fine day?"

To which I could only reply:

"Fuck off."

I'm actually jealous of morning people.

I racked up over 100 detentions in high school for being late. I could never wake up on time. It was over 100 detentions yearly, and I still think I managed to sleep through most of my classes.

Now that I work I have no choice.

That's when I went to bed last "night."

Evolutionarily speaking, your standard sleeping through the night schedule is probably "unnatural" as a result of humans constructing really safe, durable shelters. Being awake during the sections of the day when it's dark out probably has a lot of advantages- the human body gets pretty roughed up by direct sunlight after all.

I'm a night person. I think it's because the people I talk to on Skype are more active in the evening/night, so I tend to stay up late and then sleep in. Plus, when I'm at home, my parents can't bug me when they're asleep.

Night person forced to wake up early :(

Suspenders and ties chat was best chat. Yes you missed a few creepy messages that caused a few of us to drop out momentarily but it was dealt with swiftly.

Curses, I will try and be more active here then. Though I have been busy helping renovate the house I'll be moving into and fixing my computer.

My life was forever changed when I got a scar from a pair of chocolate suspenders

I...I thought I was the only one!

I have to try and find my hat for hat day now that I know there will be one.

As for your question, night person no question about it. If I wake up anytime earlier than 10 my brain takes a few hours to even get the key in the ignition let alone turn on. I can be exhausted during the day but as soon as the sky gets dark I suddenly get energy. I agree with you about sunlight though, nothing beats laying in a hammock on the perfect day of just the right amount of sunlight that it's nice and warm but not so much that it causes you to sweat with a nice breeze that isn't so cold that it requires a sweater oh and the accompanying azure sky of course.

I could have never arrived late. It was either wake up and go to school or don't go at all. The only way I had to get to school was an hour and a half long bus ride (boonies kid.) My mom would make sure I got up and into the shower, before shoving a mug of coffee in my hand. I was a coffee addict at 13.

I think the reason I am a night person is because historically I have had to be.

I am always running around for other people during the day, dealing with school and work (I have been working since I was 10, because of forced child labor at a family business), chores at home, friend time, girlfriend time, and so on. Night is the only time I have for myself, to read or write or watch movies.

My last two years of high school, I had no classes scheduled for the first block of the day, so didn't need to be there until 9:45.

Was still late.

I do like getting up early most of the time though. Not physically (it is like trying to sprint after being run over by a car while being hungover after having been punched in the nuts), but it allows me some time to get personal things done before having to succumb to the formalities of everyday life. The only big problem I have with it is my head gets swampy. I always feel foggy and slow until three or four hours after waking up, sometimes to the point of being physically ill.

A lot of the time the first thing I do after waking and sitting up in bed is try and control my gag reflex. It's like vertigo or something.

I've learned to tone it down a bit in front of other people. I can understand that some asshole saying good morning loudly in your general area doesn't actually help you have a good morning. So I try to keep it to a simple and muted 'Mornin' till about nine. Then I unleash hell.

I am too. The ones that are all happy and cheerful. They open up the windows, take a deep breath and say hello to birds tweeting in the trees.

Really, it sounds so nice.

Sometimes when I have to wake up early and am exhausted I will take a lot about nothing in particular. I have on many occasions talked and talked until I passed out (it makes me a bit dizzy to keep talking like that, but for some reason I can't stop myself.)

There's going to be a meet-up at E3 or something? If that's the case then sadly I can't since I'm in South America, I would love to go to E3 though. One of these days!

Devo needs to stop with her awesome creeperGAF avatars or else I'm going to attempt and probably fail terribly at one-upping her.

LMAO that is me, I don't even need coffee or other energy giving things.

The only thing I need coffee for is troubleshooting some complicated circuit. For some reason without the coffee I can't visualize it, but as soon as I've had a sip or two it's like I'm an electrical savant.

Otherwise I'm all birds singing and whistling.

Hell, even in the winter I'm like 'God I love BRISK mornings!'

Something is wrong with me.

lol

I hate you people. Happy people in the morning are way too annoying. It's too early for that, and I'm still getting used to the shock of daylight. :D

I show respect to those who are not morning people, I don't bounce into work cracking jokes and trying to chat with everyone.

I think I can just about manage a grunt. I'm a real daydreamer. People could be trying to speak to me and I will just block them out completely. Too busy in my own little world.

While I'm definitely not a morning person I'm not all groggy either. My alarm clock scares me awake and typically my adrenaline is running for an hour or so.

Ah a morning person gentleman. If only the world was full people like you. Happy people show common courtesy to your night brethren and act miserable for a few hours.

I can't really say I'm talking WITH people as much as I am just talking about anything that pops into my head.

I know. They just make me laugh every time I see them. I can't take her posts seriously sometimes because I'm just distracted by her avatar.
