I've fallen out of sorts with Eastern game design.
But truthfully, I just haven't played many this generation.

It's interesting, at first I played only Western games (back in the point and click adventure days) but I migrated over to console and ended up only playing Japanese games for years. Now I'm playing about half and half. I getting into PC gaming again (and getting into the PC back catalogue), and there are so many more Western games on consoles this gen. For me, it's a nice place to be.

Really, Sonic Chronicles?

Not insulting your choice, I'm just a little surprised, I've always heard it was bad.

One of the best multiplayer games of all time. The lightsaber combat was amazing.

The game wouldn't work with my internet when it came out so I played hundreds of hours of bot matches. When I finally got it working, the game was dead ;_;

Really, Sonic Chronicles?

Not insulting your choice, I'm just a little surprised, I've always heard it was bad.

The things it did right were outstanding; the banter between Sonic and all the friends didn't seem forced or robotic like in the other games. It seemed natural, like you knew all of the personalities for ages, and they were more than welcome. Big the Cat, a character that I often forget exists, was probably the most hilarious and charming character in the entire game based off of his speech alone.

Unfortunately, the bad completely outweighs the good. The music, controls, equipment handling and music were enough to turn what could've been Sonic's equivalent to Super Mario RPG into a mediocre adventure, at best.

Did I mention the music was bad?
