Does ModNations PS3 have an active online community?

I got the PSP edition free from the PSN security debacle and there was basically no one playing online, so i'm sceptical whether the Vita version will last the distance online...

With Road Trip being a launch title I'd hope things will be better. We can start a community on GAF or something.

Think I'm going to put down my preorders on Blazblue, UMvsC and Uncharted soon.

I'm still holding out for EB to match that Best Buy Uncharted promo. EB gave out Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 with the Playstation Display late last year. I could see it happening.

I really want the PS Vita, but the only thing I can see as a deal breaker would be the browser. Also, no support for HTML5 or Flash? You gotta kidding me, Sony? Could I even watch YouTube or surf Facebook with the Vita?

I thought that it actually does support HTML5 but does not support flash.

If you want my Uncharted $26+tax preorder I'll give it to you for cost. We can just meet up somewhere once I get it.

I pre ordered the vita 300$ bundle , hot shots and wipeout (Theyre 30$ for real !?! i couldnt resist)

I was going to buy the 250 wifi version , but instead went with the 300 bundle that comes with a 4gb mem card and a case , for a very specific reason.

Im sure most are aware but i was not - my freind is in the best buy rewards thing and he got an offer that if you order the 300$ bundle , you get uncharted for free.

He wasnt planning on getting one yet so he gave it to me , i figured uncharted is 50$ anyways so why not get the case and the mem card for free basically.

Cant.Fucking.Wait.

I believe this is a Canada-only deal, unless things have changed for the US Best Buy.

I preordered a Wifi through Amazon, along with an 8GB card, UMVC3, Uncharted, and Hot Shots. Thought that would be a pretty good genre spread, just need a racing game. Will probably get Wipeout shortly after launch, but I wanted to keep my total under $400 -_- damn you Uncharted.

Can anyone with access to the Japanese store confirm whether Grand Knights History is available for digital purchase, and does anyone know the date it was made available?

Also, does anyone know how much Escape Plan will cost?

I've decided to pick up Modnation first and Wipeout sometime later. Never played the PS3 version though i really enjoyed the demo.

PS3 MNR was fantastic and brutal (and yet fair) - loading times aside I loved the game to bits. That said, Wipeout will come first for me.

I think that's it.
EDIT: It says for PSP so I doubt it. Yea, I don't think it's up yet.
Odd, the UK site says similar but it says Vita after the PSP - I'm going to assume that page will morph into the right one eventually.

Regarding Flash, Sony stated some time ago that it won't be available at launch, but that they are working on it (talking with Adobe or something similiar, I'm searching for the source edit: the source is here http://www.qj.net/ps-vita/news/sony-aims-for-vita-flash-support.html).

Recently it was announced that Adobe Air recently implemented PS Certified support even for Xperia Play custom analogs. Adobe Air transforms the slower Flash interpreted files to native code for apps / games to take advantage of even 3D HW acceleration (faster). Previously it supported Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, Blackberry etc native apps.

So it would be strange to don't see Flash support in the browser considering it's 99% posible that Vita will get support for Flash made native apps / games.

Adobe just killed the Flash Lite for mobile browsers because now they are starting to be powerful enough to move the normal one, and released the other stuff to use it in native apps / games. So they need some time to implement it.

As developer I tested the latest version and Adobe Air runs very well in at least Android and iOS, but still a bit slow for games.

went ahead and preordered the 32gb card ($99) from amazon as well as uncharted ($50) earlier today. oddly enough though it charged me immediately. usually amazon waits until it ships? they will give me the lower price should either of those drop to a confirmed price, but i think it's already confirmed that those are official.

if it were, say, prices like gamestop has currently, then i would get the lower price once they confirm it with sony. i bet that's what gamestop is currently waiting on but who knows...

Probably just a temp charge? Amazon shouldn't charge you until it ships.

I pre-ordered the same as you and haven't been charged yet.

yeah i think you're right. a bunch of it was gift card balance anyway, and that's showing as zero.

once all is said and done and PSP is traded in im only looking at maybe $120 out of pocket on day one, and that's including 4 games, 32gb card, dock, case, ear buds, and screen protectors. gotta love gift cards and BB rewards...

i guess this is what i'm getting

It is, 4200 yen. Probably was available since the release.

Scored a nice bonus at work, so a $200.Amazon gift card is mine! Thinking of splurging on the Vita. Would really like some hands on previews of MLB 12.

I'd gladly give my money to Sony if they'd put a HDMI out and Dualshock3 support on this beautiful machine.

It's a shame because I'm actually pretty hyped about a gaming console for the first time in a long while...

Same thing with the 3DS, nice software but the hardware is seriously lacking (size of the screen, lack of 2nd joystick, etc.)

Thanks very much. I will assume that is the retail cost of the cart in Japan, or was at launch, because I'm not paying a penny more than $30 for it. On a side note, I can't believe what Japanese people pay for games... that's like $50 USD.

Any chance we see a sale on Digital PSP games at launch. Some of the prices on PSN seem pretty steep compared to retail.
I sure hope so. At least for PSN+ members.

There is still that mystery connector on the top of the Vita. I have a feeling it'll end up being for TV Out.

But hasn't Sony specifically said that there wasn't any TV out on the device? If they'd have already implemented it, why hide it? O_o

The devkits have TV Out from what people say. There's no real reason why they couldn't put it on the Vita. They probably just plan to sell it as an accessory at some point.
