Yeah, but like all Bengals fans she doesn't particularly care much so long as Mike Brown is around. We have season tickets but haven't gone to a game in like three years.

This is a Packers house motherfucker.
It's easy to act tough and dress the kids up in a Packers jersey when the man of the house (ie your wife) is not around. But I am pretty sure when she is around your daughter is wearing a filthy Bungles jersey with a Barrack Obama button while you are stuck in the kitchen making dinner.

On a different note, Mel Kiper regrades the 2011 draft

Detroit Lions
Post-draft grade: A-
New grade: B

I won't argue the downgrade, though it's pretty tough to say much of how they drafted when Titus Young was, I think, literally the only member of this year's class that didn't miss some regular-season time with injury, and even he was out for nearly all of training camp. Fairley did okay when he was actually healthy, and Titus seemed to really catch on down the stretch, so I guess looking back at it the B is probably more than fair for what they actually got out of the class this year.

Nothing wrong with that.

It's the other Football thread to be worried about!
I'll catch random Pens games at the bar on Thursdays, but the NFL is the only sport I really follow during the regular season.

It's better than MLB.

I'm 28. On the verge of becoming older than most my favorite athletes. /sigh

I hate that...Smith, the tackle the Cowboys drafted this year, is 20. When I compare my accomplishments with his I get a little depressed. I mean the dude has his own Wikipedia page! Everytime I make my own Wikipedia page, them Wikipeople delete it and they say I'm irrelevant :(.

ESPN is saying the Ravens better win it all now that the Steelers are gone.

Well that's a bit much, but the pressure is definitely on them. If they don't win this game, a lot of the same questions in ATL will pop up in BAL. I personally think their offense is badly mismanaged by Cameron. I know people love to blame OCs, but I think he legitimately deserves to be fired no matter how they fare in the playoffs

Real Ravens fans hate Cameron. Flacco is bad but with Cameron's terrible play calling, and a tendency to play over tight when they get a two score lead, it's much worse. His first year, we loved him, and he was creative; I remember Joe Flacco catching a 30 yard pass. Now it's all screens and dump offs.

Also, I'm 28 but have lived the life of a much older man. I also got to see an Orioles World Series too
I was 5 months old, whatever

23. I ain't give a damn

Not sure if I'd give the Packers a B for last year's draft. Cobb has been good and some rookies stepped in on D but I guess for da stacked team that's pretty good. Kinda hard to tell
No one besides Cobb did much or even got to play much, so I guess that's where the B comes from. Smith, Williams, Taylor all were/are OK in limited time. Sherrod was shaky. Elmore was a terrible pick but he was 6th round, so no big deal

I really don't get the desire to judge after one year. Should wait at least two, except for perhaps the case of the Bengals, where the A is probably set in stone.

Oh, youtube:

Geez, and I thought they were tough on 'bandwagon' fans here..

I thought a B was being too generous. But yes, too early to tell anyway.

I don't think it is.

They make a good point; The Ravens are the strongest team in the AFC with the Steelers gone. The Pats have Brady and home field, but that defense is BAD. Even a mediocre Flacco with the Rats should shake out to be better than the Patriots. If they can't win now, when will they?

I think anything less than making it to the Super Bowl now will look bad on Harbaugh.

he needs to fucking go. Both Rivers and Brees became better QBs after Cam was gone. I think the same will happen to joe.

I just don't think they are a SB team. The defense got old and their offense just isn't equipped to deal with the big boys on the road. Their window closed.

Now, they should absolutely beat Houston. Lose that game, and there's trouble. Lose a competitive game to NE, and you shrug your shoulders and hope that Ozzie has the guts to do what needs to be done with that defense and assistant coaches.

I'd also say the Steelers have some tough choices to make with coaches and established players

I don't think so. Solid grade, IMO.

Cobb is a great addition to the WR corps and made a big impact on special teams.
He'll only continue to improve and be a good Packer for years to come.

The other draft picks (TEs) are minor parts of the offense but have helped to improve our much maligned special teams.

A couple busts but c'est la vie...

Well let me go on record in saying that I hope you're right. That said they are still dangerous.

I would love nothing more (besides the Steelers not being eliminated and winning the Super Bowl, of course) for the Tebows and Houston to knock out the Pats and Rats, however I have to be realistic ; at least one and likely both will make it to the Championship round. I think it'll be the Ravens.

As for the offseason, the Steelers have to address the middle. I think their biggest problems will sort themselves out (Aaron Smith, Hokie, and Ward will retire) which leaves Farrior. Here's hoping Chris Carter gains 30 pounds of muscle over the off season (*cough cough*) because while Farrior's finished - 1. he's not retiring 2. We have no one to replace him anyway,

Ravens have the same problem. Elephant in the room time - both Lewis AND Reed are washed up.

The window isn't closed, but it's really close. This team is good enough to win the Superbowl, and Flacco isn't always shit. He has to win two games, one guaranteed home game to get there. Our offense is good enough, and our defense is still top 3. Fact is, Baltimore beat alot of good teams this year. Shit, everyone keeps saying the Steelers are the best team the AFC and we beat them twice. So really, how is the window closed. It's closing for sure, but not closed yet.
