wrong thread...but I guess he doesn't know.
cmon cmon feel the vibrations
Sega should buy the WWE licence, and get Sports Interactive to do Wrestling Manager 2013. I would buy the shit out of that.
You don't really need to wait for that to happen. After all, there's already several text sims such as Total Extreme Wrestling 2010.
Yes, feel them. The energy of the vibrations, as it were.
The only thing that should happen to this series is for some publisher to pick it up, and run syn Sophia. Done.

If this happens, I will attend a ROH show in FULL Cenation gear.
it makes too much sense, it can't happen.
I love WWE '12 dunno why you guys don't.
I stay up at night like Liquidsnake thinking about how THQ could lose the license and some publisher CEO thinks to himself "Man, I remember how much I loved No Mercy. Whatever happened to those guys?" then proceeds to look up syn Sophia, contact the WWE, get the license, and make a great new WWE game.
Just read the news that THQ is dead. I really hope EA gets the WWE license. EA is tops in presentation on their sports games and I would love to see it get away from Yuke's.
I hope they integrate Twitter into the game, so I can tweet and trend worldwide.
WWE + NHL Card Game = Micro-transaction win.

Sucks for THQ San Diego, who ended up making WWE All Stars.

That series is awesome.
But wouldn't you love a WWE licensed version, and non-text based?
just did an aa to @shawnmichaels_ gonna pin now #cenation #hlr

There is nothing that you can say that would make an EA WWE game sound worse than a Yukes game. Nothing. I know you're going to try to reply this with some insane example, but at the end of the day it's not Yukes and that already makes it better than every WWE game the last decade not named WWE All-Stars.
Back when I was playing about 8 years ago I definitely remember real names and stuff. I reckon even today there must be at least user created data bases with the latest personnel changes reflected.
And for a quick simmer as I like to think of myself and wouldn't know how a text based approach could improve my playing experience.
So... no, not really.

I don't even trust a solely EA developed wrestling game. Look what they did to Def Jam Icon, and THAT was an arcade game. I'd trust Voliion with the license before EA at this point.
Yuke's isn't the whole issue here, the PROBLEM, Vince, is that they're still using an engine developed for a game that came out 12 YEARS AGO, and was never all that great to begin with. AKI had the far superior game, and even after that deal folded, the Day Of Wrecking engine was WELL on it's way to becoming something really good. Their insistence on using the terrible Smackdown engine is what has held the game back.
These games used to sell!
Isn't EA the studio that locks people out of their games because of stuff they do on forums?
...so Yukes isn't the whole issue, but the engine is....which was made by Yukes....what?
Yeah, but Yuke's has also proved that they can make a great engine with DoR. The call to use the Smackdown engine when the game went multiconsole was THQ's because the game was selling better, being a Playstation exclusive and all.
If you say you post on publisher forums, were kicking you out of Wrassle GAF.
These games used to sell!
I l;ove how THPS 1 and 2 are on the same list.
It was ok at the time, but it's Yukes so that same engine would be exactly the same today after 9 more games.
Again, Yukes is shit. Fuck them.
I'm not saying EA would be perfect, I'm just saying ANYONE ELSE would be better than THQ/Yukes. Right now I'd take a Silicon Knights WWE game.
When wrasslin' was mega-popular, sure.
A great engine is a great engine. Let's not act like any other wrestling series was making leaps and bounds with each installment. Hell go from WCW vs. NWO World Tour to Def Jam Fight For NY and there are still a ton of similarities after 8 years. The difference is that the AKI engine was great 2 years in. Smackdown was never as good so no matter what they do, there will always be issues.
But still, I'd like a break from Yuke's![]()
No Mercy would be perfection if not for that memory glitch.
The quality of the games is very similar to the quality of the product at the times of the games release, the last good SD game was SDvsRaw2006 which came out in 2005, makes sense to me as things began to slide downhill from that point in the games and on the WWE shows.
No Mercy=2000, the most powerful evidence of all for this theory!
There was never a good Smackdown game.
No Mercy would be perfection if not for that memory glitch.
