Yeah, Motor Toon Grand Prix is PS3-only in North America, as is a Star Wars game IIRC.

I hadn't heard anything on PS1 support since the whole "won't have it at launch" thing, I figured it would just be a one and done update for PS1 support.
Are they going to have to do updates to make more games compatible over time? That would be really annoying.

This might be odd question to ask but will the Vita finally support enterprise wifi (WPA and WPA2 Enterprise)?
I would think just a single update. Might be taking longer since they probably want to incorporate touch screen functionality. Like back touch for L2/R2 or something. I would hope that it comes out sooner rather than later.

There is no telling what all they are changing with the emulation and the focus is probably more on getting the system out in all regions and ironing out any launch bugs with the OS atm.

Well, the good thing is the company Sony owns who makes GPS software already made a Vita game (Monster Radar), so something is likely to be made. Right now GPS would be used for Near, and things like Monster Radar.

So, I just did up a quick document with all the accessories and games I wish to buy and where the best prices are(Australia).
Damn, this is going to be one amazing launch day for me. I have the release day(Thursday) and Friday booked off to spend an extra long weekend in bed gaming. Cannot wait. Looking at getting 4 games on release day and another 2 shortly after. Too many good choices.

Not sure about ACoH, but Gravity Rush isn't a launch title, it's "launch window." Not sure it has a confirmed release yet, hope it's not too far off though.

I preordered Army Corps of Hell on Dec. 23rd and it's ship date was Feb. 22nd. The other night I received an email saying it has a new release date ( March 31st ). Gamestop.com still has it for Feb. 22nd so I'm not sure what's going on with that.

Just remembered that I never bought Brave Story before they pulled it off PSN...wish I had so I could have had it on Vita but I guess that's impossible now. I'm going to go in a psp shopping spree on the store day one, I bet.
So would companies just not make games that took advantage of 3g if more people get the wifi version? I still am having a hard time staying with my 3g pre-order or save some money and just get the wifi version.

Few games will require the GPS, but inevitably, some will work better or have added functionality thanks for it.
I imagine that going forward the 3G (maybe 4G?) unit will actually be the defacto Vita. I know that's against popular NeoGAF belief, but meh.
I am hoping a lot of companies decide to have some sort of PSN sale on PSP games when the Vita comes out. I could see myself buying a lot of games.

So I just looked on Gamestop and they changed the price of Hot Shots and Wipeout from 29.99 to 39.99, WTF?
Amazon still has it listed for $29.99 so it could be a mistake but is $39.99 the actual price for these games?

I think that's Gamestop being Gamestop. Up here in Canada those games are listed as $29.99 which makes it sound like MSRP.
You're gonna see quite many games that take advantage of the 3G, I think.
Asynchroneous multiplayer, is probably what's going to be most popular, it's a mode in Everybody's Golf, and a few other games.
i.e. you playing a online match or tour against other people, but you don't see them, or have to play at the same time.. :-/
You just play through your match, while the opponents get's simulated locally - and the next day when everyone is done, or the time-limit is reached, the final scores of the tournament get's posted.
I heard that a few people preferred this to normal multiplayer where you play at the same time, even when they were gonna stay online continuasly.. It went much quicker.

PSP support for game archives didn't come until later, IIRC.
Really? How do you think the 3G version will overcome its own categorical rejection by the marketplace?

That would be awesome but I kinda feel like there are already a lot of games at launch.
I can see Sony wanting to push GPS stuff which in turn would make the 3G unit the more marketable one. I can also see them replacing the WiFi unit with WiFi/3G, and that model with a WiFi/4G model in price tiers.
I'll find out.

I haven't a clue. I think it's because we're nearing Western launch, but then that thread should've been closed once the new one was open.
