Mine does that almost daily now. Hold the power button for about 20-30 seconds, then try again.
 
Noticed a lot of sites are bumping up the prices on Wipeout and Hot Shots to $39.99.

Some sites have just done one of the two and some have done both. Glad I secured them at $24.99.

Yeah, GS did this. They're still the correct price on Amazon though.

GS also has the 4GB card for 25 bucks instead of the 20 on Amazon.

tl;dr: Amazon > GS
 
I thought this was interesting given that Modnations won't have online multiplayer. Rich from Icon games (the guy who made the blog post about nintendo downloads from here) also has been blogging about Vita development (this is from August):

The feedback was scathing; essentially Sony asked us to completely re-design the game and gameplay...

Oh – and they also want online multiplayer even though we already included downloadable track sharing and Leader boards features...

My initial reaction was panic – and I strongly considered pulling out of Vita development there and then. Fortunately SCEE were very supportive and within two days a meeting was lined up to discuss what to do next...

AND it seems that online multiplayer isn’t too big-a-deal code wise as we are already supporting Ad-Hoc MP it isn’t much more extra work. So we’ve decided to go for it and add it. It is more QA hassle, but after Wii LOT check how bad can it be! The main reason we are adding it is because I think without it both titles would be reviewed less favourably, and I’ve been on the receiving end of a few poor reviews and this is something we are really trying to improve.

I play it regularly on the PS3, I hoped that this would allow me to continue my career mode game on the VITA. I can't see mention of being able to do that anywhere, although I remember reading an interview with an EA Sports exec that said that was their dream.

I hope we see a lot of PS3/Vita game sharing, and hope we can buy a PS3/Vita budle version of games like that rather than having to double dip, because very rarely will I be able to justify buying two versions of the same game at full price.

Just over the weekend I saw vita preorder cards at best buy canada, and all of them were priced at 30. Significant titles were little deviants, hsg, and wipeout. At the time, the latter two titles were the same price on Amazon.com, but I know little deviants was 40.

I don't understand how Sony can still be tweaking the prices of these games so close to launch. The only people who are clued into the vita are their loyal customers, so why fuck with them this way? We're so close to launch and they still haven't figured out pricing. Just adds more uncertainty to the system.

Ya, the last thing Sony needs to do right now is raise the price on games. Hopefully this is just a Gamestop mixup.

Wonder what the chances are of it being patched in later, ala Killzone Liberation on PSP.
 
They should really just delay it for a month or two. I don't think it would do much harm, in fact it would probably help it by getting some distance from the launch games.
 
I believe the only thing missing (and quite unfortunately) is Ultimate Team.

Really hoping next years FIFA is PS3/Vita cross-platform. Would absolutely love career mode + UT on the go.

They don't even have release dates completely worked out with retailers yet. Some retailers are stilling listing First Party games as the 22nd when Sony said they would be available with the first edition bundle.

Bestbuy.ca still has my Wipeout and HSG as the 22nd. :(

Her and then someone posting a pic of a girl on the toilet would not seem necessarily proper for a thread that lots read from work. Wazzim (or however your spell his name) posted it. It's not something worthy of ban but I didn't think the pic had any relevance or added much to Vita launch talks. And we were beyond the Japanese launch. This might as well migrate into the US/EU launch thread or we need to get another one made soon.

What's the most attractive bundle for the Wifi version thus far?

You can say the same about any thread that goes up on GAF. Could have been an easy post edit instead of a whole lock. Anywho I digress.

I'm interested to see what tweaks if any they did to Near. 8-4 podcast was talking about how it's dope but they don't inform you of anything or how it works and what it does.

Wipeout is still $29.99 on Bestbuy.ca and it appears they are giving the $5 discount after you add it to the cart so it should be $24.99.

HSG has gone up to $39.99.

Edit: It appears that a great deal of accessories have a $5 discount applied once in the cart on Bestbuy.ca
 
I think they're setting a bad precedent by pricing Uncharted at $50. I chose not to buy RE Revelations at $50, and I'm teetering on the edge of choosing to do the same with Uncharted.
