Persona 4: The Animation - 14://Having a part-time job may be hazardous to your health

If the whole series were more like this, there wouldn't be anything to complain about. The blending of in-game elements around a new, anime-only structure is what makes episodes 13 and 14 so good. We saw as well in episode 12 during the additional sequence in the middle of the fight. It really does seem like the staff have finally figured out what they want to do with the show, and it's really getting better and better every week because of it.

I like the brief reference to P3's shopping TV show in this episode as well.

This explains a lot.

hairballs are pretty moe.
So you wanna fuck that hairball?
Princess Tutu 14

What the fuck
Damn it, Mytho. Also wherever Kraehe was talking to her father reminds me of something I can't put my finger on.
Damn I'm gonna have to marathon the last disc tonight if I wanna keep you at bay.
Night Of The Living Giraffes 02

enjoying this but those necks are the creepiest thing about this show

P.A. Works is taking classes from the CLAMP school of anatomy.

I adore the imagery in this series. The crow dancers are fantastic That said I fear this is about to nosedive into mindfuck territory before long.
You have about... five? five more episodes before it truly gets like that.
Gurren Lagann - 12

Oh wow this show has done a bath house episode and now a beach episode both done right and filled with manly spirit.
Gurren Lagann feels a lot like old-school shows that didn't have to devote themselves to either fanservice or hot-blooded action. It integrates both elements pretty nicely!
To think we had made major advances with Utena back in the nineties...
Well, the actual fight is probably going to take up most of next episode. I doubt there's time for it in a single episode.
Since it's 2v1, I think Lan will probably take off and join in anyway.
It's a great way to set up a cliffhanger. I remember I got pissed off with Evangelion for doing the same trick, but in hindsight it was pretty clever.
Persona 4 the Animation 3

I was feeling kind of iffy about the show, but Brotag's "I wish I'd taped it" and Yosuke slurping the katana like a lollipop justify everything forever.

Does the animation get any better, though?
hahahahaha

you will love the p4 cartoon despite the animation
Hey, someone can help me?

From what anime is this image:

"Nakata's Amazing Commodities" was in Persona 4 too.
His name might not be Nakata.

It's still more arresting than Bodacious Space Pirates.

Another ep 2

The backgrounds look really stunning at times, especially the sky and flowers. The music is still baffling, especially that one track that gets higher and higher and higher pitch? Without anything truly grim going on, it just becomes kind of laughable? Still shocked it was licensed as it seems like there is really limited appeal.
I don't think there's any reason to what Crunchyroll licences beyond "hey, it's a new animu and we still have some dough to pay for the licence".

Wasn't someone saying that CR buys licenses as packages of shows? Another was probably included in a package. Good thing too, as Another is one of the better shows this season and it may turn out to be the best depending on where the story goes.

Princess Tutu 24: At first I was like this. Then I was like this.

What a climax.
Poor Rue-chan. Poor Fakir. Poor Ahiru. Poor Uzura. Goddammit Drosselmeyer, god damn you to hell.

Rue is the character that I am most impressed with. Even after her descent into despair she is shown to not be entirely misguided, as her feelings for Mytho are pure enough to lift him of his curse. Her honesty with herself is parallel to Ahiru's selfless dedication for Mytho too. They are both willing to sacrifice a lot for the prince -the former her hears, and Ahiru her life as a human girl.

This turn of events could have been fucked up very easily, but it didn't. What I am most thankful for at this point is that none of the drama feels forced. Tutu's honesty is commendable.

You are going to finish tonight, right?

You are going to finish tonight, right?
I've been keeping an episode per night schedule this past month; I see no reason why I should break my own guideline now.

After a decade or so of watching anime consciously I've become aware that marathoning shows makes it really easy to gloss over things. Tutu is a meal I wanna savour in moderation.
It's easily in my top ten of all time already, however!

Reborn 161-162

An episode dedicated to the air bikes was nice, especially Reborns line "Its better to teach him fear first, thats how I roll".

The subs viz uses on vizanime/hulu seem to not be what the characters are saying or maybe Im listening too much. Basil clearly says Gokudera-dono, but they write consistently, Gokudera-san/sama...

Wait is this 24 or 25?

If it is 24 then you should look forward to the best two episodes in the series!

They sure are laying it on thick. I hope whats
under the eye patch is actually interesting
because right now this starting to bore me.

Ok I put the spoiler tags if you have an issue with it, but there was nothing spoiling it. Robin's power is cloning or duplicating parts of her body.

Anyway I've already been spoiled on it in the manga thread but I was trying to forget that :(, you just had to go an remind me, yes that’s her power but a spoiler for
her power up
knowing that takes the surprise away from the moment she uses it in the anime.

It would be like me saying to someone who watching dbz buu saga for first time
"goku hair gets longer in that arc"

Luckily she the only one i know of.

95% buildup. Something really freaky better be going on in this town, because right now I'm not really feeling it. By focusing too much on the atmosphere and not enough on the content, they've created something that doesn't really excel in anything and is just plain boring. Right now, it reminds me of a poor man's Shiki (as does the OP) mixed with a poor man's Corpse Party.

The cliffhanger does guarantee I'll watch the next episode at least, but
what's under her eyepatch will probably be something stupid like another eyepatch. Oh shit, that's why it's called Another!

Zegapain - 9

This is really starting to bore me with all the
"I THINK I GET IT, THIS IS REALITY!"
banter. I'll come back to it in another year.

Space Runaway Ideon 14:
Well, the plot seems to be moving faster with the arrival of the new human characters, and the situation that puts characters such as Karala in. For the most part, this was all about Cosmo, and he finally feels like a real main character. I enjoyed watching him break down and deal with trauma in a meaningful way, and I'm interested in where things go from here for him. I hope the series can put up more episodes like this one.
