They aren't -- there are three sets of controls, and then pilot assist settings.
Still playing the hell out of it -- it is an impressive piece of hardware. But, sure, a lot of that initial discovery/etc has worn off, and now it will become more about the games.

Good (but bad) to get confirmation. Not sure why the article says that the UK store isn't open - surely a Japanese game online pass isn't going to redeem on the UK store? If it does then I'll happily import and wait until Feb for online..

Can anyone tell me if I'll be able to transfer my PS1 Classics over to the Vita at launch or if that's still not a thing yet?
No news about the support of PS1 titles yet.

I think I'm going to wait it out and see what happens throughout this year. I really still want a system, but I was looking at spending $350 + depending upon how many games I was going to buy. Ended up just picking up a Zelda 3ds bundle while I could still find one a few weeks ago.
I think the big block for me is I refuse to get a small memory card that I'm just going to fill up super fast even though it would have been the cheaper route. Think I'll wait and see if we ever get a memory card adapter or anything say 6 months down the road, and maybe grab the system.
I hope the system can do well up until that point though!

Are you guys in Japan playing a lot of PSP games on your vitas? It's all I really plan to do for a while, was hoping they all upscale very well or if there were problems...
If game has "problems", it's pulled down from the Vita-PSP store, and returns when the problem is fixed, like it was with Criminal Girls.
And that's why there's still now PSP1/2/2i for download.
Graphically the PSP games are said to look better on Vita, although pixels are 4 times bigger.

Played a lot of MH2G and Princess Crown, I think both look great on the 5 inch screen.
Remember to pick up a memory card.

Has anyone with tried wifi tethering between a jailbroken iphone (3GS) and a wifi vita yet? I jailbroke my 3GS in preparation for my wifi vita in February.
I tried a few tests between the PSP and iphone and I couldn't get the PSP to see the wireless hotspot. Does the vita see wifi hotspots that the PSP doesn't?

The vita is very picky when it comes to wifi.
It happened to me when i was using my laptop as a hotstop. When i tried to do it with the Win7 Tool to share internet, it didn't work. When i did it with another piece of software (recommended here) it worked.
There must be something about Myfi that the vita doesn't like.

Just paid off my preorder for a Vita 3G and a $100 for a 32GB stick. I'm going all digital, except when I can get a game on sale.
However, I can get a 10% discount if I bought the Vita through a friend on the WalMart Associate Discount. I'm tempted to cancel and try again there.

Too bad they didn't port Disgaea 4 instead, assuming the Vita can handle the sprites (I'm sure it can)
I wonder if they plan to bring it later down the road.
Really looking forward to vita games at E3, some of these first gen games look pretty lacking in the graphics department.
I guarantee you there will be a Disgaea 4 port on Vita.
