That's fine but how do you feel about Triple Triad?
Triple Triad and the soundtrack are the only good things about FF8. I wish Triple Triad was in the infinitely superior FF9 instead of, blah, Tetra Master.

Nier is the game of the generation.
The Nintendo 64 was a piece of shit and not a single 3D game on it holds up today aside from Mario 64. In fact, that whole early era of 3D (ended with dreamcast level polygonal graphics or PC equivalent) was shit and non-2D games for ps1/saturn/whatever were almost all complete shit as well. Also, polygonal graphics on the DS are all similarly trash and the system should've had 2D games only.

I was just in the shower, wondering if you'd replied. Wet, naked, and betting myself that you'd say "straddle". What do I win?
Bionic Commando Rearmed is one of the best remakes ever, one of the best small-scale games to come out this generation.

Not saying that one from each category can't enjoy the other and it's not always strictly true but generally speaking...it is.
I've never understood Japanese games. They seem way unpolished and focus too much on a story that is poorly written and just goes on and on. This includes Mario.

My brain literally cannot process how little sense this post makes.

Did anyone not like Rearmed? I'd be much more shocked by that.

-The WiiU doesn't look really promising at this point
-Pokemon is now being taken way too seriously

Didn't play it. People say it got better? But those people told me Persona 3 was fun, so I don't believe them. How do you feel about Persona 4?

A lot of Eastern games feature something really quirky, but beyond that they feel really broken. Mario is a very polished game, but it just seems to drag on.
...wut? Your complaint in the previous post was Japanese games were unpolished and had too much story, including Mario. Now you're saying Mario is very polished. So you think Mario has too much story? What western game has less story than Mario?
I... I don't like 3d Marios. I see how many people do, so I assume the failing is mine.
I understand why people like them. And the two most recent were pretty impressive overall... but I feel the same way. I'd much rather have a NSMBWii or a SMW over an SMS or SMG.
Hey wait...
Are you saying I'm formulaic?! Like some crappy 80's sitcom with a stupid as hell laughtrack formulaic?!
I bop you one if I could reach.
Given that we know almost nothing, fair enough. I like the posibilities the controller presents though.
Did you see the scandal/internet fail when the BW starter evolution were leaked? That caused me to re-evaluate my opinion of the human race and it wasn't particularly high to begin with.
To each his own. I like more options and the promotions don't bug me.With TF2. They had a near perfect game with low complexity and high skill, with a roster of characters that oozed personality and style. Then they filled it with stupid hats that were understandable at first, but then outright started to destroy the aesthetic of the characters. Not to mention the terrible cross game promotions. Fuck you, I don't want to see the tribal mask from From Dust trying to punch me with a Deus Ex arm. Not even Nintendo would do that to a Mario game.
Also they added mechanics such as Mini-crits, buffs, and loss of control debuffs, that added unnecessary complexity to the game. I didn't mind that too much, but...
Then they sold you weapons for $10 a pop. Hey, remember when EA tried to do the exact same thing with Bad Company and such a unimaginable shitfit occurred that EA made those weapons free? And while people kept saying "Oh but they're all balanced" I'm noticing how every Soldier was firing the Black Box (a gun that healed you.) Not just that, but fighting people became less about planning. You use to know that x class could do y, and then act upon that. Now there's so many variables it's now just feels like "fuck it."
You know, for a game I paid money for, it was starting to get a little too F2P.
Then they made it free to play, allowing everyone to justify them selling hats and weapons at the same price of the games they sell. Okay, so I did pay $30 a long time ago thinking I was going to invest in a game that won't take such a weird turn as it did (especially with Valve?), but it's okay because they gave me a hat for it.
Of course, I could play on the "Vanilla" servers. But my friends, and communities of players that I've played with for a while, don't do that.

The Black Box is old news anyways. It's all about the rocket launcher that has five rockets and infinite ammo.
But it's okay because it's 5% weaker and it no longer has a lucky crit mechanic.
The free updates (and weekend) was a really smart way to raise awareness and generate new sales for the game. And while the game did start to feel a little bloated near the end of those updates, at the new equipment was designed (mostly) to significantly change the way you play. A melee demo, a soldier that needs to be accurate, a spy with a bow, etc. They were done much differently than weapons that are "It improves your whatever but decreases your ammo." It could have sailed off into the sunset. But instead they decided to ruin it.I payed 30 dollars 4 years ago for TF2, with the game getting constant free updates and now it goes free to play? Fuck you Valve. They add some garbage weapons and the game is ruined forever.
