I'll be unoriginal with you: I hate Triple H.

He is the Jay-Z of wrestling, minus the actual skill, piggybacking enough trends to the point where people think he is one of the best. He has won matches for no reason other than his marriage, buried more popular and talented wrestlers, and killed angles with wins to pad his accomplishments.

He has saddled himself with the greats, but rarely does anything but drag his cohorts down. He singlehandedly killed the Summer of Punk. He overacts, makes corny jokes only preteens would dare laugh at, and invented a persona where he supposedly has brains and brawn without weakness.

I end my argument with two words: Katie Vick.

Blaming a stupid angle like Katie Vick on him is absurd. That was Vince's thing.

Meh @ match listing. A lot of my favorite Rock matches on other sets(Rock/Austin WM17/19, Rock/Jericho NM2001, etc), and they don't seem to acknowledge his great one-on-one bouts with Kurt Angle at No Mercy 2000 and No Way Out 2001, and you can't show his awesome bout with Chris Benoit at Fully-Loaded, but seriously, no Rock/HHH Backlash/Judgement Day 2000!? That just stinks.

This also reminds me that he never had a match with Shawn Michaels. They almost completely missed one another, Rock came to prominence during the four years HBK was gone, and left for Hollywood once Shawn came back full time in 2003. Rock/Hogan was hype, but I would have loved to see HBK/Rock.

It's weird, between his two big runs Shawn managed to just miss some of the biggest stars in the business.

He's never had a one on one with Rock, Lesnar, or Punk despite being in the company at the same time as them. All three would have been phenomenal. He's fought Rob Van Dam, but never on a pay-per-view and never in a real feud

HBK/Rock may be the one BIG unique match they have left. The sad thing is, no one is asking for it.

Stone Cold, Bret Hart, etc. Would you like a detailed list, or did you just want to mock my input on the topic at hand?

Damn man don't be so sensitive. We all want to know, maybe we share someone in common. Like Psicosis.

You think they'd wait until a few months after Wrestlemania to get the Cena/Rock match on there...

That's what I was thinking. They could have waited till June time and stuck the WM match on there.

I guess they wanted to have a disc out for when The Rock pre-WM hype begins.

They could have easily put another whole disc of matches, as well. Seems to be severely lacking in that area.

Don't need details. I'm a huge Curt Hennig fan. I was a Chris Benoit fan until he jump to the WWF the night he won the WCW Title.

My bad for taking your comment in the wrong way, tone in text and all that.

I was a Benoit fan more so in WWF/E than WCW. WCW was never my thing, now that I'm older I look back and respect it, but then as a 10-12 year old kid I was more in to Stone Cold and the WWF. Never got to see a lot Perfect I wish I did though. I have a few DVDs with his matches on them that I enjoyed. I was a big ECW fan. RVD and Taz were my favorites. They made Taz out to be this killer, and the Tazzplex was awesome, one of my favorite moves ever, and RVD was cool and innovative. Angle is one of my favorites. He still makes whoever he goes against look like a star. Its sad that he doesnt know when to stop, hopefully he doesn't die in the ring.

Theres still more but I have to get to class.

R-Truth needs to turn into a Road Runner type character. Just have him drifting around doing crazy but neutral shit in the back, have the heels try to put the screws to him and then have Truth accidentally cause the villains' plans to backfire.

Why did he have photoshops ready to go in the event that Wade Barrett came out to cut a promo?

Naw, I watched wrestling for over 25+ years. I have a ton of favorites. I was never a true fan of ECW because I didn't get to watch until the TNN era. Now I can watch it. The Eliminators are one of my favorite tag teams. Saturn promos and Kronus agility made the team.

Yeah we used to get Hardcore TV here at like 12:30 on Saturday night. The Total Elimination was one of my favorite tag team finishers.

Punk vs Austin

come on

give it to us

I hope the RAW after WM28, Punk just comes out and starts dropping pipebombs on Austin.

HAH after the way they neutered Punk i dunno if its gonna have that same heat...yeah Stone Cold can do a build but if he lost to Punk i dont think to many people would say...ok i can accept that it would be the ultimate case of the company trying to force a guy over instead of the crowd choosing him, especially with stone cold as his opponent. A damn shame what happened to CM. The man went out had us all on the edge of our seats for weeks, pulls out the victory *that obviously was meant to save cena some face points with that BS ending* and you just get the sense that they never let him kick it into that final gear. I was glad he was back but now...i wish he would've stayed away for a month or something maybe Survivor Series NYC woulda popped huge for em.

Is Austin even healthy enough to give a real performance outside of just taking a bump or two from a body slam? I was always under the impression he couldn't go anymore due to his legit injuries...

The thing is, WWE knows who Stone Cold's fanbase is. They're not going to turn that feud into a CM Lady Parts affair.

Also, if you listened to Austin's interview not too long ago, he said he'll do it if the money was on the table, but more interestingly he said Punk has to be heel for it to work. He said Punk has to remain edgy now that he's on top.

This reminds me: is this why austin stopped wrestling? Did he have to stop? If he full on retired?

I remember in one of Punk's interviews around the time of Summerslam that he said Austin thinks he can go for another run.

ECW Taz was amazing with those brutal suplexes. I was so hyped for him to come to WWF at the time for his match with Kurt, which was amazing. Than shortly after that they crippled his moveset leaving him with a very limited arsenal. This was around the time WWF started banning piledrivers. If Taz was around a year or 2 earlier I am sure he would have had a decent IC title reign.

RVD, while watered down, at least had a complete moveset he was able to utilize in the WWF at the time of his run.

-Rolling Thunder
-Cartwheel kick
- Sweep
- Jump Kick
- Side Kick
- Split Leg Moonsault
- ***** Frog Splash

Not bad for a watered down version of RVD

They should had posted the match where he lost the IC belt to Owen Hart. Yes it was a week finish, but it what made Rocky become the Rock.

It's crazy. WWE didn't believe he had any good matches in 97.

They can't show that one because of Martha Hart saying otherwise.

Don't forget Van Daminator and Van Terminator.

I want that Rock DVD for the documentary... match list is pretty mediocre. No wrestlemania matches? the fuck outta here.

I still say Jericho wins the Rumble and it's Y2J vs. Punk and Mania. Rock/Cena and Punk/Jericho will get some buys.

Jericho is number 30, runs around the arena high fiving everyone til they're done fighting, goes into the ring finally and flips someone over, eliminated, Jericho wins the rumble.

Jericho is number 1, runs around arena, leaves, comes back later at around 30 and same thing.

Jericho comes out number three. Proceeds to commentary table and does the entire match commentary as neutral play by play (ideally with JR producing him), refusing to acknowledge any questions given to him by other commentators.

Re-enters ring as the final person is celebrating and pushes them out.

What a shitty DVD. Typical WWE return compilation, a good 40% of it is taken up by covering the return of The Rock instead of his career. I remember they did the same with the nWo DVD, a good half of it was made up of the silly return and demise stuff over a matter of like 3 months in WWE and given the same amount of time as several years of stuff in WCW. The post Lesnar match 2003 stuff is weird too to be given so much coverage, the No Way Out match against Hogan and not the way, way better Wrestlemania X8 match?

I have to say this:

Jericho's entrance sucks balls without that millennium countdown. I always mark when I see and hear that countdown starting.

Such an epic entrance :(

Yeah I miss that too.

Jericho should troll the countdown as well.

10 - 3 - 4 - 6- 8 - 1 ... Boom!

2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 1 ... Boom!

10 - 1 .. Boom!

or ..

go from 1 to 50 (with commercial break) .. Boom!

10, 4, 7, 38, 24, 7, 18, 1, 57, -236, 7, 12...

I like you already. *shakes hand* Throw Sabu in that sentence, and we can be tag team partners. RVD was a god to me him and Jerry Lynn had some of my favorite matches of all time.

Although WCW was more my thing than RAW. I used to tape RAW and watch WCW live.

Yeah. Sounds so naked without the countdown.

I think it's safe to say Jericho is going to do some awesome shit at the Rumble. What that is... we'll just have to wait and see. I don't think we'll be able to predict it, honestly.
