PS Vita US Launch Details (Launch Games, Accessory Pricing)

I'm also going to try and not go too crazy buying PSP classics from PSN. I made a list of the PSN PSP titles I want, and it's a lot larger than I expected, even with some of the games not up on the store (like FFVII: Crisis Core). With all the games I've missed on PSP, I should be able to easily ride out Vita dry spells between big releases.
Ya, I have a long list of PSP games I have my eye on as well. Any chance that Sony will have a PSP sale on PSN around Vita launch? :D
D:

Still cannot decide about Wipeout 2048. It is still US$ 29 on Amazon. I really like racing games, but future hovering vehicles are not my thing. I believe the only game of this type I really enjoyed was Quantum Redshift.
If you don't like it, you'll probably be able to find someone who's willing to pay $30 for it pretty easily.

I wish they would sell just the pouch portion of that at a reduced price. As it is, this is what I'm eyballing so far:

This is the pouch I'm getting for my Vita, but in blue. It looks nice and Hori has not disappointed me.

I don't even really like racing games and I have played the crap out of 2048 (just finished the single player campaign, actually), for what it's worth.

Why is everyone expecting them to announce/confirm/hint at the PSN pricing in the blog comments? They're either waiting as long as possible before crushing your hopes, or they're waiting as long as possible to announce that PSN games will be 50% cheaper than their retail counterparts!
I know where my money is.

Lol. Yeah, I've been balancing the old gaming budget, and passing up on some great deals on Amazon for games that I've been waiting on for ages.

It's not too bad for me, since my next two paychecks are including 2 extra days on each, so that's going to cover my Vita purchase and games/accessories easy.

It's the wait that's killing me.

I'm also on the fence about Wipeout, as I'd like to buy it, but then, I'm tempted to just get AT&T's cheap 3G plan, and probably get Wipeout included, and since the 300MB 3G plan is $20 now, I'd be saving $10-$20 on Wipeout. I'll probably end up holding off, since I'll have a lot of games day one, and probably not nearly as much time to play them all anyway. I can probably wait on a few of the other games on my Vita month 1 wish list.

Yea there's a few PSP games I want as well such as Resistance, the Syphon Filter games, and Kingdom Hearts (eventually).

Anyone getting the first edition bundle happen to be selling off their 4gb memory card? Happen to have a 3ds and want a 3week old powerpak+ and some cash? :p
returned the 3ds to bb and got stuck with the battery pack...

Hey guys, haven't been on in awhile so I've missed a lot. Was there a list of psp games released that are compatible? or on the store? it's been so long I may not even be asking the right question. thanks.

Supposedly every game on PSN should be compatible. But it's software emulation so some games could have issues.

For you guys buying 3G version of PS Vita.

What are the advantages choosing 3G?
Playing online with friends not at home? (*)
Downloading stuff not being under Wifi network?
What else?

(*) Do they confirmed that you'll be able to play with no lag?

Thanks.

If I'm getting discount on the PlayStation Vita, then I think I'm gonna pre-order the Wi-Fi version. I will probably only use it at home for review copies, and I never take something like that with me outside and probably won't even take it with me in the airplane on trips.

So Wi-Fi should probably do it for me.

Another part of me says then, that I won't get to use the social online features, which is a big part of the PS Vita - that's my impression at least.

hey do anyone know if vita is available in thailand?

my friend is there and leave tomorrow.... and he will stop to singapor too.

Just don't split the community and pass on the useless 3G Vita, this SKU will be phased out in no time.

I think Wi-Fi/3G will actually become the default unit eventually before being replaced by a 4G one. Sony didn't phase out the 60GB PS3 first.

The fact no one at SCEA have talked about this means it won't happen here.

I'd laugh if it was because of the complaints that came up after it was announced in Japan.

"They don't want discounts, okay. Fine with us!"

Then I'd go back to being disappointed that I'll probably need to spend that money on a new PSP :(

Sorry if "already posted":
New Amazon Germany VITA pre-order deal!

FREE:
8GB Card
Pro-order box with Headset und PSN-Coupons
15€ Coupon for one VITA game (Lumines, FIFA 2012, Rayman, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Virtua Tennis 4)

Interesting. Thanks for posting.
I'd like to know if Amazon is going to offer the same for other countries (Italy for example).
I'd like get an offer for: Vita + 32GB (not for Europe, I know) + Travel Pouch + Screen Protector + Game (Fifa)

In France you get the same thing basically when you buy at FNAC :
- free pre-order kit (of course)
- 50 € to spend on whatever you want

That's because of two things (how correlated they were with another is a different story I guess....)

1. The 60GB was the preferred model saleswise ---- the 3G Vita is not
2. The initial shipments were heavily skewed in favor of the 60GB version --- the 3G Vita would seemingly not be.

ebgames.ca has updated some of the Sony game release dates to the 8th of February. I wouldn't mind that actually. It would mean some of the games I have shipping to me would arrive before I get the system.

Also, I can smell the game cases in anticipation.

I think those two kind of go together. Pretty sure it was only the preferred model because the 20GB model became hard to find.

But with games and apps that use the 3G, I don't think they'll drop it. Fully expect 3G/4G single SKU future.

The fact that they're incentivising (er, is that a word? Chrome doesn't appear to think it is...) the 3G version in the US suggests otherwise. Whether that ends up being the case is another matter, but they clearly WANT people to pick up that version.

So what is the deal with previously downloaded digital PSP games, can anyone tell me? It would be natural to assume they will just transfer to the Vita, but this is Sony.

One thing I did notice is the plugin looks identical to the PSP Go, are the connections the same or are they different? I haven't found any information saying either way.

Just bought a bunch of PSP games off of PSN for the Vita:

Trails in the Sky
Fate/Extra
Rachet & Clank Size Matters
Jak & Daxter Final Frontier
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
