Fafner 19:

Fest(um)ing it up before shit hits the fan. Sakura is one of the most underutilized characters in the show, but
damn if she's not freaking stupid every time she goes into combat. Why do they let her pilot when she disobeys orders EVERY SINGLE TIME she fights?

Fafner 20:

The kids continue to make really stupid decisions and have zero ability to follow orders.
Protect Koyo's Festum-ized zombie because he drools out a few words about Shouko?
This could never possibly be a bad idea. But noooooo,
the plucky kids are right and the inflexible old adults are wrong and Koyo magically regains his humanity.

And then either
goes to sleep or dies
, I guess I'll see next episode.

Fafner 21:

I'm not falling for your tricks, show. Give us an episode that
starts to make the characters endearing
only to
begin killing them off leading up to the finale, starting with Sakura. Death flags going up EVERYWHERE for everyone.

Fafner 22:

Ahahahahahahah.
Another pilot dead! More bullshit about Festum trying to understand humans through conflict!
Truly, the finale is nigh. So much cheap emotional manipulation to come.

man... I really need to rewatch guilty crown to figure out the 'plot'... actually fuck that. Anyone here wanna give me a recap on the overarching plot? There is some virus thingy and people have magical utensils inside them... and exposition happens. No clue what really happened in the last 2 eps besides Gai was random friend in the past that was magically forgotten. And there is the guy's sister who was victim zero or something...

Reminds me of the shitty setups from resident evil games lol.

A virus spreads during an event known as Lost Christmas which happened 10 years prior to the beginning of the story. It caused widespread panic, so an international organization known as GHQ had to intervene, and in the process they took over Japan. The Undertakers are these dudes that fight against GHQ for liberation and stuff.

That's all you need to know really. The Voids are just a metaphorical identity thing given shape, so there's not really much to it. Someone's personality or subconscious determines the form, or at least that seems to be the implication.

So the new HxH Anime is it truly worth watching now, because those first episodes were beyond bad.

It's alright, but still much less tense than the original. Might be a good idea to wait if by some miracle they make it to the Chimera Ant arc, though I can't see them covering it without a timeslot change.

And what, pray tell, is wrong with this?

Like what? The tits bouncing to the beat of the music?
That .gif isn't indicative of the series at all, at least so far. That character hasn't even had a full minute of screen time and most of the fanservice is leg/ass related.

Guilty Crown 14

So, Shu's personality does a 180 in basically one episode. I mean the show will be at least slightly better now that he isnt a complete bitch, but there wasn't a whole lot of development leading into it. Oh well, it hit its low point a couple weeks ago, so surely it can only go up from here right?

I'd say going even deeper can only benefit the show at this point.

It's like the nipples are looking directly into your soul. O_O

Serious answer: I just watched Code Geass recently. I've had my fill of stupid, needless fanservice for a good while.

You should watch something like Steel angel Kurumi if you think Code Geass had a lot of fanservice.

Watching the episode earlier today, it's not that I don't get what they were trying to do. But just like the rest of the show, it was completely contrived, poorly executed, and in this particular episode made
virtually every guy in the school look like wanna be rapists (thus I referred to this episode as Doujin Crown 14). Basically, the idea is that Shu is the type of guy who doesn't believe in himself and so would never just take the leadership role no matter how many people (stupidly) suggest it. The only way to get him to do so (doing a 180, as you put it) would be to "force" him to take action. But the whole "Let's strip these girls on stage in front of everyone!" story was completely stupid and feels like it was only put there to give hentai artists a starting point to draw their "What If?" H-doujin scenarios.

Leg, ass, thighs, and hips related.

I'm sure that Fin and Muginami's
Vox sigils
will be located on different parts of the body, thus evening out the distribution of fanservice shots. Muginami is a blatant fanservice character so I imagine that little will be left to the imagination by the end of Episode 4!

Clearly they know what fans want, they targeted the wheelchair girl after all.

Did I say that?

You said you had your fill of needless fanservice. Having your fill means you can't have anymore meaning you thought that it had enough fanservice for it to bother you, which even if your "tolerance" is low it's still enough for you to get sick of it so for you it's a lot. So yes, you did say it.

Congrats, you deduced that I have a low tolerance for fanservice.

Is it?? I have really enjoyed Saiunkoku Mongatari (well the 30 eps of it I watched so far) but I figured Fushigi Yuugi was better. Well that's interesting. The shows are certainly similar in scope.
If I watched Fushigi Yuugi again, I'd probably come away with a better opinion of it actually. My expectations now would be different from back when I wanted more action instead.

Oh god, I watched all of this with my friend on Netflix for some fucking reason. A lot of weed was consumed.
Forever friends?

Horizon in the middle of nowhere 7-13

Decided to finish this series and one thing that definitely kept me in it were the fights because they were at least entertaining to watch, while everything else just plain. So many characters and I don't really care for Tori and Horizon's relationship that when the final episode came up I just felt nothing. Although the ending definitely made me hope that in the next season we get to see a bunch of armament of deadly sin fights.
Or the 4-cour rumors might be true after all!

Hunter x hunter R16

The only problem I still have with the remake is the sound track, it's only really good when it should be god tier what madhouse needs to do is buy the license to you the original tracks.
The weakest aspect of the original HxH was the music. The music direction was fine however.

It already began when it aired.

Knight in the Area 4

Jesus Christ. I have to imagine it's the manga that did this shit. Although, the pedestrian directing didn't really help matters either.

I just wondering if that stuff about the heart was actually real or some metaphysical spiritual mumbo jumbo the mangaka made up because he couldn't find another way to be sentimental.

Knight of the Area - 04

Oh dear lord, your portrayal of Brazillians visually is one thing, but goddamnit Japan, don't go the extra mile and call him Leonardo Silva (-er?), and his friend Roberto, we get it, they're Brazillian.

Steroydinho had to tank through this episode because I found myself cringing and facepalming at nearly everything.

I'm not sure of the context, but it looks like a stock shounen friendship/heart exchange. Shouldn't be surprising in an endless sports shounen.

No, that's not it.
They are saying that the heart contains his brother's memories and emotions and that they are being "transfered" over to him via the heart transplant
.

I know that these polls are completely unscientific, but I'm still surprised to see Ben-To and Chihayafuru high on any favorites list considering their abysmal BD sales :|
Chihayafuru comes down to the fact that girls don't buy anime. Well, mostly likely anyway.

Like literally? Or in the
"now that I have his heart, I have his dreams!"
sense? If it's the latter, it's a pretty common concept that is ultimately meaningless and is just something the heroes say to pump themselves up (even if it isn't exactly that line). If it's the former, I have no friggin clue.

You can multivote. If you're bored enough, you can just keep refreshing and clicking until your favorite show gets to the top.

Rinne no Lagrange 1-3

Very cool art and good music. Madoka is adorable.
Found the fight in ep 3 hilarious
lol choking a mecha to death, so murderous Madoka.
Looking foward to see more.
Also, MARU <3

Yep, literally.
