I miss Kid Flit and Desil, though that huge time skip. The ending from Spyair is nice and filled with some pretty good pictures. However I have a feeling that
Galette is an antagonist, so those happy moments in the ending seem odd
.

From the opening, Millais looks cool as does Woolf and G-Exes I think. Fun episode, cant wait to see what new suits are in this age. I think I like Flit more than Asemu.

Not a bad start so far. Great OP and ED. Soundtrack is good. The technology in the series is nice to watch in action.
I like how Marika's spaceship's wings bend.

Recap episode.
There were lots of nonsensical segments in-between the recaps.
I don't know why I bother sitting through recaps, but I'm compelled to. I guess my thought process is that I might miss something important in the story.

always hear how good it is but see "Mecha" and just don't ever watch it. I do watch alot of it(every Gundam,1st Zoids,Macross,GL) I just don't enjoy it alot.

Ah, so they are giving Naoto two episodes. I approve of this, because Naoto is awesome. The show continues to be very good in the second half, even if I don't like the new OP as much as the old one. I like the new ED a lot more than the old one, so there's that. Since we know they are fixing the weird-ass faces on the BDs, I'm guessing that the reason for everyone looking so proportionally fucked up actually has to do with the show's production schedule, not it's budget. Much like coming to accept that your Shadow, your Persona, is a part of you, coming to accept that this show actually had some sort of budget associated with it will be difficult indeed. Well, the fight sequences were always well-animated throughout the show's entire run, so maybe we shouldn't have been surprised by this turn of events.

Yui's guitar is named Giitaa, as befits someone of significant mental impairment.

Azunyan's guitar is named Mutton. I don't remember why anymore.

Designs are definitely generic but I'm hoping that cute will win out over creepy so I'm sticking with it. It's mostly harmless, but what it lacks in quantity of creepiness it makes up for in subject matter of creepiness. If we get something like the
menstruation
scene from Episode 3 again I'm bailing out.

What the hell? Why on earth would she go and do that? Was that scene just poorly animated or something? Because
swinging at a ball right at ground level and then hitting your hand on the court is just...dumb

The episode outside of that scene was pretty good, though. The later stuff sets up some interesting situations for the cast, and there's some good drama throughout. Ochoufujin is becoming more and more petty as time goes on. I guess she realizes she'll never be as awesome as Hiromi.

Rinne No Lagrange 04

Yeah this show is definitely giving me some NGE vibes but not really in the bad way. A lot of the usual tropes seem to be present but at the moment this is a fun series that I'm sure will eventually lead into something much bigger and more deeper. Muginami seems to be a more interesting character than I was giving credit for previously. I still don't like her design much though. I'll definitely keep watching this as it definitely seems to be one of the more enjoyable shows of this season so far.

Also, poor Lan. :( She's so cute.


I also wanted to ask, what's the general verdict on Another so far, for those who've been keeping up with it?

Well, I've got a ton of shows on my backlog (not to mention a bunch of games as well) and the show seemed kinda interesting even if I'm not really sure what it's about. I'd probably get around to checking it out eventually but I'm mostly curious to know what people here think so far since I haven't really heard much from it. :)

It seems like it could be one of those overlooked shows for some reason.

I would say its been pretty ok, certainly one of the better shows this season. There's a couple issues holding it back atm, but its a fairly well put together show so far. I think now that the plot is really starting to get into gear, it should continue to improve.

The first two episodes started a little slow, but once episode 3 hit everything really started to pick up in terms of both pacing and content.
 
Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas 1-3

Wow, what a difference. You can really tell how much better of a production this is than the other OVAs and the TV series. Everything from the animation to direction and arguably the art is a thousand times better. Attacks actually connect and the animation actually CHANGES for the special techniques each time the same one is used. This is mindblowing after seeing nothing but reused animation for like 130 episodes.

The characters also actually feel like characters instead of living movesets. You can actually empathize and understand their motivations. I feel a lot more connected to Tenma in just 3 episodes than I ever did with Seiya in over 100. And don't even get me started on Alone. Jeez, that guy's life sucks.

Speaking of which, this is noticeably darker than the rest of the franchise. I see this was serialized in Champion rather than Jump which isn't shy at all at displaying absolutely brutal and adult themes even if it is still technically shounen. Might as well be a demographic change. Seriously,
anyone painted by Alone dies and then he uses the blood of hundreds to make the perfect red paint.
It isn't significantly worse than what was shown in the rest of the series, but the way it's presented is much more unnerving.

Anyway, I'm enjoying it a lot.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai Episodes 2-3

There's no way they are going to kill off the girl's parents. In these types of shows they always introduce that event as already happening.

They really did it

This show is oddly depressing. His apartment is so small.
