can never get enough wan's

that's why you gotta wait for the bd's!

Oh god. I need to watch this show. Like now.
Ive been at my aunts house all day but its time to catch up on MARU

I assumed that
she's meant to be a red herring for people who haven't played the game already. She's got a fairly cold demeanor, shows up everywhere, is privy to all of their conversations at the restaurant, etc.

Why would anyone watch this without prior knowledge of the game? Fanwank is all the show has going for it.

Yuujiro was hilarious. Really cant wait to see the manga that Iwase is doing if it was enough to get Hattori, Eiji, and Yuujiro excite.

New ending theme is nice, seeing everyone as kids is kind of cool, kid Saiko, kid Eiji, kid Fukuda even.

Hah, I suppose so. I haven't watched one of these shows to completion, but I figure they feel the need to change it up eventually. How many people ended up on the team anyhow?

Four people ended up on the team in Suite. The final character was
Shirabe Ako aka Cure Muse, who you might have recognized as an orange-haired girl with glasses and overalls who hang out with Hibiki's little brother.

I definitely recommend at least giving Heartcatch a try someday. Even for people who don't care for mahou shoujo, the excellent animation and character chemistry make it worth watching.

As a fan of Heartcatch who bailed out on Smile I am glad to hear that my fears were not unfounded.

I probably should have framed my criticisms of Suite in the context of "it's not as good as Heartcatch but still okay", but even as someone who enjoyed it I can assure you that you didn't miss much. I just ended up catching the mahou shoujo bug on top of initially only watching Suite because it was the show that came after Heartcatch so I have way more tolerance for the tropes than most people.

PERFECT. (edit: beaten, but it's still perfect.)

Hanasaku Iroha 26:
Glorious ending. That was just...I'm not even completely sure what to say. The pacing of the whole thing was masterful. It really stands out in that regard, and I loved how we got to explore the characters more as things came to an end. There's a melancholic feel to the episode, but there's also an overwhelming feeling of hope for the future. It manages to tie back to everything the series was about and bring Ohana's story to the next phase in her life.

The direction and sound design were absolutely top notch for this episode, especially the scenes at the beginning during the festival. That was completely out of this world. I'm so happy I got the chance to see this series through.

I like the epic ballad-type awesomeness of I Say Yes, but the more playful and sweet nature of First Kiss appeals to me too. Really I think the first 2 OPs are close in terms of quality with the I Say Yes only getting the nod narrowly over First Kiss.

Yeah, I can see this. First Kiss is just one of those songs that never fails to put a smile on my face. I feel a much deeper attachment to it than any of the other ones.

FUCK

Goddamit Go Nagai, this is NOT why I decided to watch this. Seriously, fuck you and your endings!
Now I feel like shit for actually liking Ashura and hoping he/she finds happiness :/.
At least everything preceding that was badass as hell.

Anyway, overall the series was good, not great. I think going in expecting Gurren Lagann was a bad idea. The hotbloodedness was there, but the character development and content really weren't outside of Ashura arguably. Prior to the final episode, it was just underwhelming despite shades of badassery here and there.

So what's next on the super robot agenda; Linebarrel or Mazinkaiser SKL?

Rinne no Lagrange 04:

Here's the thing. If you took Bodacious Space Pirates and this show, decided to deceive me by switching the names on the discs and removed the OP/ED/Next Episode Preview so I wouldn't know directly from watching the show, despite this show having no pirates and not taking place in space, I wouldn't bat an eye. For while it lacks much of space, and doesn't have pirates, it delivers the Bodacious in spades!

It's weird, because I'm not really hating on BSP to be honest. I am enjoying the show despite it's very slow plot-progression. It's just I'd be enjoying BSP more if it had a different title. Like "School Girl Pirates" or "A Pirate's Life for Her" "Ore no Kaizoku Kancho wa Konnani Kawaii Wake Ga Nai!" or whatever. :/

Anyhoo, Maru. Only in the OP this time, and that was sad. But Wan is not happy at Monster-Tits (whatever the fuck her name was) moving in on her Maru. Clearly. But she took clear, decisive action at the end of the episode, and that made me happy! ^_^ Good for you, Wan!

Ano Natsu de Matteru 3

Figured I should probably get around to this before the next episode airs. It's a good thing the supporting cast is so good, since I absolutely hate the "twice shy" thing going on with Ichika and Kaito. Looks like they might start to make some progress on that end, though, so I'll keep my hopes up.
Also the constant imagine spots/delusions are okay so far, but hopefully they won't up overusing them.

The OP and ED songs are still among the best for this season.

Yeah, although the show totally last me because of its writing, the last episode was a nice way to salvage/wrap up the series.
I'm still surprised that they didn't have the inn re-open under the name Hanasaku Iroha after the credits. It would have been the perfect cliche. :p

Yeah, I've seen a few random episodes of Heartcatch as well. Just long ass shows are fairly off putting because of the commitment... the last one I watched was Cross Game, a while ago (it helped because it was "live" of course).

Persona 4: The Animation episode 16

So who is the blue haired ramen chick who keeps showing up every episode? Some new character for the Vita version, perhaps? Feels so pointless any time she's on screen.
I assumed that

She's a character that will be in the Vita remake/port.

It was all smoke and mirrors to surprise us.
Disguised yuri?!

Another fun episode.
I'm kinda wary of Muginami, though I must admit she has her memoria in a rather interesting place.
Lan feeling jealous was pretty cute.

Phi Brain 17

Well Im glad I didnt anticipate that twist, it got me so emotional.
Never would have guessed they werent his parents, but they redeemed themselves in that touching bday video. Poor Rook had to endure yet again losing out to friendship and now love with Kaito. I hope he can be redeemed by his one true friend its just unfair.

Count Pythagoras is going to be interesting once hes shown, if the POG and Rook have gone to these great lengths I can only imagine what he will do, and not to mention why he has Jin imprisoned and now the Baron

I think everyone here has watched it.

Someone needs to watch Land Before Time and rank the two movies in a dino grudge match. Because that's what nerds do.

I'd still rank Land Before Time above it. But that's only if we pretend the countless sequels never existed, which is always a good thing to do regardless.

You suggested it, so you do it!
It's too clouded with nostalgia at this point!

It's not only better than the Land Before Time, it's also superior to every other Don Bluth movie that isn't about dinosaurs as well.

Muahaha. And yeah, the sequels don't count!

I didn't care for this episode and am not really finding much compelling about this show. The characters haven't grabbed me and the setting/scenario is vague and uninteresting. I'll probably watch a few more episodes before I drop it, but I don't really understand the love this show is getting.

Its cute.
That's all it has to be.
Well thats all I give a damn about.
Anyway, HNNNNG.
Madoka is so squee.

Aquarion Evol 5

This should be called Cockblocking: The Animation. And man, who knew donuts could be so deep?

I'm loving the ED song.

Is it good?

It's supposed to be. However, Durararara left such a bad taste in my mouth that's it's difficult for me to get into it.
